First time calling Today's Nails about a manicure. Lee answered the phone and was booked for my requested date & time. About half hour later, she called back to say she had a cancellation so I could fill that spot. Today's Nails is a small store front, no-nonsense mani/pedi salon in a convenient location with plenty of parking. There are many other stores, food places and Wells Fargo within walking distance. Had a good experience with Lee - she had good color suggestions and understood exactly how I wanted my fingernails shaped. Okay, I had virgin nails before going here and I am so glad I waited to find this place. I called and asked if they could do a manicure, the guy was super sweet and said yes, please come in. I got there and he was finishing up with his previous customer. Then the wife came in and I just threw it out there asking if they could do a pedicure too. Sure enough the wife said no problem. I was very happy. I needed a me time. They were so nice and so accommodating. I felt like I was really being pampered. It was a late Monday after 6 pm and then I ask could they do designs, and again with no hesitation they were okay with that. Been a couple of months since I moved to this area, and haven't been able to find a pedicure place due to COVID. Found this place via Yelp. A lovely couple owns this place. It's small and packed (not much space to move around) but service for pedicure was amazing! She was very friendly. I got the delux pedicure with gel for $35. It's definitely not fancy and posh, they have just 2 manicure and 2 pedicure stations but I guarantee a good job for pedicure and I'm definitely going back as it's super close to where I live and I feel comfortable with the owner who did a great job! read more

When I returned to read the views, I was shocked to see the inconsistency of the reviews, and this worried me a little. Nonetheless, I called to schedule an appointment on a Tuesday, when I knew they weren't going to be busy. Overall I had a good experience, and I got all the services I purchased for on Groupon! The wife did my pedicure, and I loved the new sandy pink OPI color she suggested for me. The husband did my nails, and it was my first time getting shellac. I am such a fan! I don't have to be super careful with my nails; it's like getting gel, without the thickness. In addition, he was very attentive. I paid $43 ($29 groupon + design on 4 nails + tip), which is a great deal for a mani-pedi. I've been coming here for about four years and I will not go anywhere else, now. They're currently remodeling to make their shop look more modern, but I never minded the shop before. It was a little run down, but what I care about most is how my nails are done (and look afterward) and customer service. They have a disinfectant area for used tools (fyi for those who don't think they do). I always do a gel set when I am there. I did read below that someone didn't quite understand what gel was. Shaving off the gel, is WAY more GENTLE (because they will barely get past the superficial layer of your nail bed, THAN to soak your nails in acetone (therefore eating up your nails and skin). I LOVE THEIR BUILDER GEL TECHNIQUE!!! I'm a fan of builder gel (liquid/hard gel) which looks prettier and stays longer on your nails. The process of application is not easy. Very few places have this type nowadays and they charge you an arm and a leg for that. I'm so glad that my friend introduced me this place to get hard gel nails with affordable price. When I called in and ask for the package, they told me how much they charge and I was like "are you frickin kidding me? That's half price of the place I've been to." I was so excited to try that out but it was so hard to get an appointment with them since they work by themselves (husband and wife only, no staff.) Today I was lucky to get a spot in. They are so friendly and nice. And, their builder gel technique is perfect! The way they apply gel is professional as I've seen people do on Youtube. She did not use a drill to file any of my nails after application but my nails still look even and smooth. Plus, they use Seche Vite top coat - my only favorite one! Come and check them out! What am I going to do when I move away?!? This place is a diamond in the rough. Their work is spectacular. I have never done my toes here BUT their nail work is awesome. They do this liquid gel technique that never lifts and it always lasts me up to a month. They have tons of colors to work with and Le makes the cutest designs. I usually tell her to surprise me and she never let's me down. I have only been to one other place that does liquid gel and they were over by Santana Row and they did a decent job but expensive. I need quality at a great price and Today's Nail Image does it. I recommend getting an appointment because the two times I didn't I had to wait but for some reason every time I do there is nobody there. But just play it safe make an appointment :) read more

I went here with a friend to get a mani-pedi. She saw this place on Yelp, and since it's been sunny, it's time to break out the sandals. When we walked in the owner greeted us, she was really sweet and nice. The place is kinda filthy and cluttered. They have two spa chairs and two manicure stations. They didn't even bother to put us in the spa chairs. No one else was there and it was an hour before closing. The owner and her husband rushed through us, while they were really nice I didn't think the service was on par with other nail salons in the area. I tried this place for a shellac manicure and pedicure after finding it from Yelp. It is a family owned and operated business -husband and wife working side by side, with their maybe 11 year old son assisting. The place is small and could be better organized and cleaner. The women was very sweet, she did a good job on my manicure, service was basic. My polish lasted over 3 weeks, it did not chip, cracked or peel -great quality which I appreciate. I would love to go back here, but would prefer if the pedicure bowls, manicure tables and tools were sanitized as I did not see that happen in between customers. Also, I am not certain that a child can sanitize and clean a pedicure chair properly -which is what I did see happen. read more

Let me start by saying that Huan and Le run an honest business and both do excellent work. I have been going to this salon for over 6 years (I have tried several salons in the area too). I was in the salon for a fill when KellyP was there on 7/4/13, she obviously didn't understand what the Groupon covered, because when she sat down, she asked for tips, gel and a custom nail painting job on all 10 nails, plus she also had a full pedicure! After she left, she had her boyfriend come back to the salon to complain that she was overcharged. They were both unreasonable, even asking for their money back!! REALLY PEOPLE?? Who does that??? For all of you who may be looking for a great manicure, fill, tips, etc. please do not allow KellyP's "poison pen" to cause you to miss out. Well, there is certainly a mix of reviews on here about this place. We women are serious about our nails. I purchased a Groupon. And, I had a great experience. Yeah, this shop isn't glamorous. But, they do an excellent job. I have been getting shellac consistently for years, all over the US. This is one of the best places I have ever been. I will be a customer after my Groupon is done. And, I also sent my out of town co-workers here, and they all had an excellent experience. I don't like to do shellac on my toes, but I have been to many salons that offer it. I just don't see a reason for it. Doesn't mean its a bad thing. But to the people in the other reviews who complained that shellac on the toes is crazy, all I can tell you is that you need to get out more. Or at least read some fashion magazines. My shellac also came off easily. At home. If you go to another salon and they suck at shellac removal (don't soak your fingers enough, don't prep the nails with a file, etc.) it will take longer. This has happened to me often, which is why I choose to remove it at home now. Tin foil, cotton, and acetone are all you need to buy. Wrap up your nails, watch some Real Housewives, then scrape away. Makes it easier to hit the salon afterwards! read more

I have yet to break a nail, get cut when getting my nails done or even chip a nail. The products used are excellent!!!
