Come to Today's Vision if you want unreturned phone calls, unexpected office closures and unreachable staff! This is the second occasion where I've called repeatedly, throughout the day and have not had a single person answer or return my phone calls. It got to the point that I had to have someone drive by their office to attempt to speak to a person. Nope, see attached picture!! Office closed for maintenance.. whatever that means. The doctor and admin are nice people, they just never answer their phones! I waited 3--4 weeks for my contacts to arrive and didn't even get an update from the team. I had to send my dad in to retrieve a sample pack because the admins were not answering phones or calling me back with an eta. Not sure how long this place will stay in business if they keep up their current MO. Sad, they are quirky, friendly people but sometimes that's just not good enough. Don't come here! read more

Super nice doctor and really nice office staff . What I don't understand is the two months wait for the glasses to arrive . My mom spent over $900 and my sister over $300 and they are still waiting . No calls nothing !! I called early last week was told they will get them by the end of the week the latest . And nothing . I will be going to your office on Thursday so they can get a refund . Your lab is ridiculously slow . I feel horrible for taking them there as they are new Houston residents . read more

I will preface with this, they are very friendly when they talk to you. That's really the end of anything positive that I can say. I've been wearing glasses for about 35 years and I've been wearing bifocals for the last five or six years and I get new glasses every year. This was my first time coming to this business. Every time I have gotten new bifocal glasses the representative has always put the line on the lenses for where the bifocal is to be placed while I'm wearing the lip frames. This business the freehand the line never having me put the frames on at all and of course the wine now that I have the glasses doesn't work well. Also I don't think they have any concern about letting you know your glasses are even ready once they have your money. I picked out my frames before Christmas and was told that I should have them back by January 1. I thought that was pretty quick but they do advertise in the store that they grind their own lenses on site which allows them to have quicker turnaround. New Year's came and went without any communication with them and finally on January 7 I called the store and they said oh they shipped out yesterday meaning they were ground offsite. So they shipped a week later than I was told it would be ready. Even after that they never called or emailed me to let me know that they had received my glasses. I finally went in on January 18 to ask them face-to-face and she said oh we've been waiting for you to come by. That is very poor customer service and just not doing your job. I have been coming here for 6 years. Dr B is no longer at the practice and Dr Pham has taken over. He was very thorough, listen, reviewed my file and attentive. Dr B will be missed but I really enjoyed Dr Pham as well. read more

I have to say my experience was great. The staff was kind, patient and did everything to get me the best deal. My daughter thinks the doctor is wonderful and I was able to get her a pair of glasses and contacts. This is the place for us. I was really surprised by some of the reviews because I experience none of the negative things mention on others. read more

Love the doctor here, BUT, the older lady that works the front desk with dirty blonde hair is EXTREMELY rude!! She was very rude and short with me and seemed very annoyed anytime I asked a question about my vision plan. I will be taking my service elsewhere. And when you ask about the smell they act like they don't smell anything. Need a good cleaning when picking out glasses you see the patches of dust. I have been there several times now. The first time I was there I wasn't to impressed by the young girl with the dyed hair sitting at the desk playing on her phone. She didn't even greet me until I spoke to her. After she checked me in she was still playing/texting on her phone. It was just unprofessional. The doctor on the other hand is so sweet and kind. She really cares about her patients. I really like her. She made up for the front desk person. The second time I came in I had broken my glasses. The front office manager with blonde hair was so nice. She went out of her way to call the manufacture for me to reorder my style of frames. I really appreciated it a lot because I got my frames in Illinois and I would have had to call the eye office there to re order. They had my frames in within 2 weeks and called to let me know they arrived. I went up there to get my frames and the office manager made sure my frames fit perfectly. Really great customer service. I will keep using them as my preferred eye clinic. read more

Dr Kelli is wonderful and extremely friendly. On the other hand her staff was not very helpful. I had recently gone for a contact fitting and they receptionist told me she would call me on Monday after contacting my insurance company and let me know when my contacts would be ready... Monday comes and no phone call so I waited till Tuesday evening and still nothing. Called them on Wednesday and was told yes my contacts were ordered. No mention if my insurance company gave them an issue or not...not told if it was covered. I got to pick up my contacts and I am THEN told my insurance wouldn't cover it and I had to pay for my contacts. If this was known when your ordered them WHY not call the client like you said you would and advise them of the situation? I let her know to please advise me if things are not covered since some people in this world need to budget expenses. After I paid, the receptionist was giggling with the other one in a mocking sense. REALLY? Right in front of my kids too! I am very frustrated at the lack of communication and lack of respect they showed me. Very disappointed!!!!! read more

Went in today for an exam. This is a relatively new Today's Vision shop and it is very nice inside. Everyone I have spoken to has been very nice. I went in for an exam and to discuss my changing eye needs. I really want to wear contacts, but have dry eyes and need reading glasses if I have contacts. If I go with glasses, I will need progressives. So, I came in early and they could see me right away. My exam was quick and thorough. Dr Bertsch is such a sweetheart. We chatted and she told me all of my options, the pros and the cons. We settled on giving contacts a try for a week. I got fitted, payed my co-pay and was on my way. What a breeze. I have to go back next week to get things checked out and decide if I want to go with the contacts or glasses. I'll update my review after that, but I have to say that so far, this is a great shop. I will send the hub there for his exam. read more

I am new to Dr Kellee's office. I was greeted at the door. They were patient with me and kind.The doctor was very informative and answered any question I had. They have a lot of choices of trendy glasses and one staff member helped me find the perfect eyeware that fit my face and was fashionable. I will also bring me kids next. Would not recommend to anyone. Maybe if it was significantly cheaper, some of these behaviors wouldn't be so upsetting but they're high priced as heck. Payed for 6 months of contacts and was told to call in a couple days to ok the fitting and they would place the full order and call me when they were ready. Over a month later, I'm running so low on contacts and realized, I never got a call. So after calling them and heading up there, the receptionist hands me 3 months worth of contacts and says "oh we didn't have your number, I'll put it in right now" I asked where's the rest of my contacts and she can only respond with "well the doctor must have placed the order incorrectly because yes, I see that you were charged for 6 months. I'll fix the order and we'll call you when they're in" 2 weeks later and still no word from them. read more

Worst service ever, not professional at all that lady that helped at the beginning not even knew how to read my prescription thankfully they had another staff who seemed more prepared. I ordered my contacts over 2 weeks ago and still haven't got a call. Definitely, once I get my contacts I'm not going back to this location ever. I would've imagine, that for the prestige of this company they should have more trained staff and be serious about delivery time without blaming holidays or DHL come on. read more

I chose to go to Today's Vision because it is convenient to my house, which I recently moved to, and is also covered by my insurance. When I walked in, Dr. Bertsch went on and on about how terrible my vision insurance was. To be honest, I have never used this vision coverage before because it's new health insurance, and all of my previous health plans varied based on my insurance. I was taken aback by this because I thought it was flat out rude. We then proceeded to go to the back and Dr. Bertsch noticed I was wearing colored contacts. She then proceeded to criticize this decision and after my eye exam, Dr. Bertsch went on to tell me how bad my eyes were due to the colored contacts. I've been wearing colored contacts for 12 years, and I've never once felt ridiculed like I did by Dr. Bertsch. Granted, I am guilty of wearing contacts longer than I am supposed to, but I take them out every night and never have any eye problems. Dr. Bertsch led on like I was going to go blind if I continue wearing colored contacts. After the eye exam, I went to try on contacts and was told the contacts I used were no longer available and she only had one type of colored lens. While trying on the contacts, Dr. Bertsch CONTINUED to criticize me for wanting colored contacts!! I tried the one pair or colored contacts she did carry and did not like the fit at all. I then went on to agree to order clear contacts if this was the case. Once I was checking out, I had Dr. Bertsch double check the insurance she had on file for me. Turns out, she did not have my correct insurance, and the insurance I have is much better than what she expected. Once she realized this, she went on to tell me how good my insurance was and was explaining that she wasn't going to make any money off of me if I had the insurance she had previously mistaken. This then confirmed all of my feelings about this practice. I was getting treated like a dog based on what insurance Dr. Bertsch thought I had. I then went home and double checked the type of contacts I was currently using, then went and called the office to confirm they did not carry these lenses. The girl told me yes they in fact do carry these lenses. I told her to cancel the order Dr. Bertsch was going to place and order these instead. Apparently this particular lens will be discontinued at the end of the year. That's fine, when I get to that bridge I will cross it, but for now these contacts will get the job done. Flash forward one week, my contacts came in and I stop by the office to pick them up. I was going to try to give Dr. Bertsch the benefit of the doubt. As she is ringing up what I now owe for the contacts, since these were more expensive, I double checked with her the amount I had already paid towards contacts at my exam. She then gets flustered, and tells me what I had already paid and then mumbled that she didn't even charge me for the fitting (yes she did, I looked at my receipt as soon as I got home). I questioned the amount because the numbers weren't adding up to the total and she would not give any explanation to my concerns and told me "I don't have time for this, I have to go." In the end, I was getting charged the correct amount, but needed clarification on what my insurance was covering and what I had already paid. I would never recommend anyone to this practice. No wonder there are never any cars in the parking lot. read more

I have been bringing my kids here for about 3 years. Always got along well with Dr Bertsch. My last experience with the front office staff's lack of courtesy and professionalism is the reason I will never give them my children's business again. First off, there was a mistake make on my son's left lens prescription earlier this year before school. The script was input in the computer as a positive when it should have been a negative. We returned for a follow up visit and that is when the mistake was discovered. We had to wait another 10 days for the correct lens to be replaced. An inconvenience, but people are human and it seemed like a simple mistake that was remedied. Fast forward 4 months and my son's frames broke at school. I had an extra pair of frames from last year, so I called and asked how much to cut new lenses for the old frames. Was told $90. That is a little pricey for out of pocket so I called Walmart and was told $39. I stopped by the office on my way home to pick up a copy of the script to take to Walmart. All the front office staff was out sick and Dr. Bertsch's mother was working the front office. She was unable to get the script printed out but did call Dr Bertsch to see if they would just price match Walmart and she agreed. Received a text about two weeks later saying the glasses were ready. Showed up and low and behold, he cannot see out of the left lens again. The script was never corrected on the system, so even if I had received a copy to take somewhere else, it still would have been wrong. At that point, I tried to explain to the front office staff that he could not see out of the left lens and what was the issue. They did not offer any type of help at all. They told my son to wear them for a week or two. I held both lens (on his broken glasses and the new ones) up to my eye and could see a very obvious difference, like looking through glass then looking through water. The staff didn't offer to help again. I asked them to please check the lens on the new glasses and was told that is what is on the script and that I would need to make an appointment. I told them that I was not going to make an appointment because I knew what the issue was. Then I suggested they take both pairs of glasses back and check both lens so they could verify they weren't the same. The office manager, Melanie, told the young lady, Kayla, to "just go do it" very harshly and after she left, went stomping off after her. She was obviously annoyed and put out by my asking for something simple. When they both returned, they did not say a word to me, but both held up pieces of paper in front of the computer comparing things. I finally asked if they were the same and then they admitted that they were not, but the script on the computer was what was in the glasses. I stood there for a minute and then asked if this was something that Dr Bertsch would need to correct or if they were able to do so. Melanie told me they could and I stood there for another minute then asked if they would call me when they were ready, she said yes, then I stood there another minute and asked if that was all they needed from me. They said yes and I left very upset with the dismissive and hostile attitude. Yesterday, I called to check on his glasses at 9:20 am. Melanie told me that she thought they were still waiting on the lens to be delivered but her computer was slow and she would check and call me back very shortly. Three hours later, I still had not received a phone call back, so I called her, was told that her computer was still updating and she would call me back in 20 minutes. Two hours later, I called again since I still had not received a phone call, Kayla answered and told me that Melanie was handling that and she had just stepped out for a minute but she would make sure she called me back. No call. I was tired of being blown off, so instead of calling, I went to the office after work, got a copy of the corrected script, new frames under warranty (not mentioned at all to me before, I had to bring it up) and my son's other frames w/o lenses. read more

I was referred here by my insurance company. I wish I never had been. The first visit I had the front desk personnel didn't seem to take me seriously, then when I started to work with Dr Bersch I felt very rushed. I'm not sure if they are over booking their schedules but the quality of prescription that I received reflected poorly on their attention to detail. I waited almost 2 weeks for my glasses, and when I got them it was worse than not wearing glasses, so I rescheduled, it took a week for me to get my appointment set up, and when I showed up it took 4 minutes for them to get me in and out.... Again I felt rushed, another 2 weeks went by, they were waiting on the lab to send in my new lens, then they told me they would just cut the lens their self and get the money back from the lab, I got the new lens and now I can't even wear my glasses, they give me extreme headaches and dizziness. At this point I don't think Dr. Bersch really even considers me as a serious patient. I tried rescheduling an appointment, they put me out a week and a half, I was 15 minutes late and they told me I would have to wait another week. I can't see, and now I have to go find another Dr that I will have to spend it off my pocket to do a job this location obviously can't do. Don't waste your time or your money here. read more
