Shady operation. The rating should be below zero! I visited a friend (FE) at 8:45 pm on January 4, 2012 in Reading, MA. He has 2 designated parking spots at his residence. With his permission, I parked in one of his designated spots. We remained on site for the remainder of the evening. At approximately 11:30 pm (while we were asleep) another tenant in the building (Mike,who unfortunately has some issues with FE) decided he didn't like my car parked in the lot because I was not a tenant. The owners of the property do not have an enforced "tenant only parking" but that didn't stop Mike, So Mike asked his daughter Ashley, who works for Todisco Towing to have my car towed. Todisco actually towed my car - they had a tow truck from East Boston drive to Reading to tow a car from private property when it was legally parked. Are there tow operating license requirements? Because if there are, Todisco's should be revoked. Who the hell do they think they are just towing peoples private vehicles then demanding over $200 (extortion or what) to pay for the tow that should never have happened. If it's not the owner of car, the owner of the property which the car is parked, or the police, Todisco has no business towing. There are actual laws in Massachusetts regarding who can authorize a towing of a vehicle and an employee or a tenant of a building are not authorized. Doesn't Todisco know the law? I would think a tow operating company would know the law and teach it's employees the law. And yes - when we complained about their employee abusing the system we got the run around. All of you who have complaints with Todisco should write to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General. Both have online websites to file complaints. read more

OK - So now I'm angry! I received a letter (certified-so I had to pick it up at the post office!) from Todisco Towing informing me that my car was towed on 6/15/2008 and that I owe several hundred dollars in charges. That's really funny because I JUNKED this particular car in September of 2007 at Ferris Auto in Salem. Apparently, the car was sold from there to someone who never bothered to register the car - ILLEGAL!!!!! Well, Mr. ILLEGAL crashed the car on 6/15/2008 and it was towed from the scene by Todisco Towing as ordered by the Chelsea Police Dept. Now I have to come up with the paperwork proving that I junked the car last September (have no clue where it is presently and resent being forced to spend my time having to look for it) or get hauled into court as being the last person this car was registered to and responsible for the towing charges. How about going after Mr. ILLEGAL!!! Apparently the fact that I managed to transfer my registration from the car I junked to my new car and had all the necessary paperwork to do it at the registry last September means nothing to Todisco Towing. The mere fact that my present car is on the road registered, insured and in good standing is proof in itself. When I called Todisco Towing to explain the situation I was told I would have to come up with paperwork proving that I junked the car, according to the ignorant boob I spoke with. What happened to going after the illegal trash who crashed the car in the first place? I guess they thought they would have an easier time getting money from me. Fat chance. All they have to do is look at their own paperwork to know I wasn't the owner nor was I the driver of the car they towed. Why would I give a good rating to people who can't even think. read more

Well it's that time of year again...woke up on day off car missing. Called Todisco Towing and talked to a pleasant young girl who told me my vehicle was towed yet again for street cleaning. She did tell me that the trucks were still in my neighborhood and they could have a driver drive me to impound lot to get my car. Tow truck showed up in less than five minutes and there driver Jonathan opened my door and helped me in truck and off we went, due to my car being a p.o.s I am in tow trucks quite frequently but this truck seemed to be off show room floor very very clean. Any how once back at impound yard I had to wait several minutes in a line due to the large amount of people in office picking up cars but staff was quick and friendly and even though I had to fork over $131.00 it was not this company's fault that I forgot to check signs and did not move my car, as far as the rates I am now aware these rates are set by the state and would be the same no matter what city I was in. I can tell you that from my experience this year and my three visits last year (f m l ) everyone was very courteous and that angry troll of a man that use to run this place is no longer employed , everyone was happy about that. Verry Unprofessional, the staff is working at the office. They treat you as if you were asking them for something for free or even worse. This happened (Friday /08/5 pm 2024) They treat you like you're disgusting My Wife car was towing today and when she tries to pay at the office, her phone didn't have internet, she said to the lady at the office "which said named Ashly" Ashly I can't my cell phone can't read the QR code, To which she "Ashly" responded, I don't know what your level of education is, you don't know how to use a telephone. Todisco and Pat T. are arguably the worst company and people in Massachusetts. Specifically, John, license plate tow truck: 98BH. He waits for 2 hour parking and lies about how long the car was parked there to make a quick buck. Quote from John: "I am now targeting you, you fu**ing a**hole. I am going to fu** with you." 6 months earlier in February, I was towed and my tire was slashed the day of, because I had argued the timing of how long I was parked. I shouldnt have argued it, but I dont believe this should result in a slashed tire. Not only was it horrible customer service, but I was also left scared of what he may do to me or my car. I now need to buy a camera to monitor my car for my car's safety and my safety. It is a disgrace the city of East Boston employees this company. Stolen property. State troopers callee them to tow my vehicle from a 5 car pile up on the mass pike. I was in contact with them to make sure my windows were closed or wrapped because my tools where in the vehicle and they were open during the accident. I use them everyday for work and was upset I couldn't retrieve them until the insurance claim was finalized and the bill was paid off.. but understandable. Yesterday was the day I was able to retrieve my stuff from the vehicle, my compartments were all open and my toolbox is missing. The doors were locked and the windows were rolled up, alarm set. The only people who had access to the vehicle was the towing company. That toolbox pays my bills and these guys don't seem to want to help me figure this out. I was visiting Boston from out of town with three small daughters. I got a flat tire on Salem Street and had to pull into a one-way alley during rush hour. The lugnuts on the tire were stripped, so I couldn't remove them with a standard jack. Triple A showed up, but couldn't help. It was a nightmare. However, Todisco got to us - and then got us to a tire shop before 6! The driver was incredibly kind and helpful (and knew shortcuts to the tire shop so that we could get things fixed before they closed.) I would recommend them 100 times over! (As for the earlier reviews...if you're illegally parked, what do you expect?) read more

LICENSED THIEVERY. These people have gotten rich on the residents' of East Boston hard earned money. All they do is drive recklessly around East Boston looking for their next victim. Their customer service is shit, they're racist, and their fees are ridiculous even though most of the cars they tow are less than a mile from their HQ. I haven't had to use a tow service for many years and Todisco was recommended for a recent issue. I had a wonderful experience, I dealt with John in the office who was so helpful and accommodating. I wish I'd have gotten the name of the driver because he was awesome! I would highly recommend using this company. read more
