I was annoyed enough last night, after my third time dealing with Todisco, to write a review. I was surprised when I logged on and found that almost everyone agrees with my that Todisco is the worst towing company in the world. Unfortunately for some reason, AAA has a contract with them despite what has to be numerous complaints (two from me alone), so you're kind of stuck with them if you need a tow. Usually I tell AAA to send someone else, even if they're farther away -- last night I let down my guard. Matty Todisco is as unpleasant as it's possible to be; I guess he's special because his father (uncle? nah, it has to be daddy) owns the company. Some of the guys who drive the trucks are nice but there's always an issue with the people back at the office. read more

I am in agreement with "Matt G.". If i could give zero stars, I would. This may be a case of a company holding alot of big contracts, and greed has made them ugly. I was towed out of a parking lot, while in the store that the parking lot is reserved for! I went and grabbed a coffee right next door first-was then a paying customer at Walgreens and came out to my car gone! Apparently, they have a lookout, that watched me park, and go get a coffee, literally 3 min. later, I came out and went to Walgreens, but my car was already gone. I went back to the coffee shop, and the woman at the counter told me that they do this about 7 times a day! $112 they get for each car. Cash crop. I spoke to the manager at Walgreens, and he had my tow fee cut in half and apologized for the confusion. When I went to go pick up my car, the tow guy was pissed that he was getting $56 instead of $112. He was so rude, and continued to argue with me, saying that it was "unfortunate" that Walgreens reduced the fee. What is unfortunate is that I wont go to Walgreens anymore there, because of Todisco. Worst tow company in Boston... Not that you expect a tow company to be good but these guys are completely irresponsible, tow AWD cars incorrectly, mess up your car, and then do not make any effort to try to fix it. Total scumbags. We got towed all the way to East Boston on a Sunday, drove it out of the parking lot and my 2013 Nissan sounded like it aged 50 years. Come to find out they WRECKED the couplings and axel. They gave us the run around, told us to take it to our dealership in Lawrence, then Ben, the "damage" manager did not respond regarding damage until I got the City of Boston Transportation Dept. Now I have a rental and my insurance is paying $1,500 until they can collect from to discos insurance-what a joke and totally a waste of time. The employees here are horrible. I called and spoke with someone when I realized my neighbor's car had been towed while they were out of the country. I called at 11am and asked if I needed to get the car right away or if I could come by in a few hours. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED IF IT WOULD INCUR ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES. I was told it would not. Sure enough when I arrived at 4pm I was charged for ANOTHER 24hrs for 1.5hrs. They lie. They bank on making huge money off of everyday people and have no scruples... Horrible, horrible employees. I've worked in customer service for 15yrs, I've never heard of someone being unable to remove a charge once it was applied in the computer. Again- lies. I know no one really "chooses" to use this company. I can just hope that they lose that valuable city contract when it comes time to renew it. Had my car towed from my condo parking lot today, because I didn't have the "new" tag hanging. The condo hasn't handed out the new tags. The old tag clearly states the apt number and the building. When I pointed it out to them they said, "how where they to know what it meant." Learn to read, jerk. These guys make tons of money doing something a lower ape could do, and there is nothing you can do but pay. In addition they wouldn't give me their paperwork clearly stating that they knew the tag indicated I live in the building. Jerks. read more

I did not get my vehicle impounded first of all. I employed them to take my motorcycle which broke down to a repair shop. They did this but along the way lost my key to my bike and would not take responsibility for their actions blaming it on the people they dropped it off with. There is no paperwork on their end to say that someone received the bike and safely dropped off the key. I am disgusted by their inability to speak with a customer with respect. They had no remorse and did not want to help in any way to remedy the situation. They said "it is not their responsibility"... If anyone needs a towing company do not use this one. It will be a nightmare from beginning to end. read more

I had a flat tire at the East Boston Stadium. Called Triple A at 6:15, they said that they would be sending someone out to fix my flat tire with in the hour. I waited 3 1/2 hours for Todisco Towing to fix my flat tire. I was alone in the dark for 3 1/2 hours!! After approx 10 phone calls with the dispatch operator at Todisco Towing they told me they didn't know where East Boston Stadium was, which is the most insane thing I ever heard since Todisco Towing has been in East Boston for as long as I can remember. I finally asked the dispatcher if I was being PUNKED !! Extremely bad service - extremely rude dispatcher. If you have Triple A and break down in East Boston - tell Triple A you want any other Towing company BUT Todisco Towing! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Yesterday my vehicle was towed because it was illegally parked in resident parking which is fine with me because it was totally my fault. But when I got home I started to think why the bill was so much and of course I was never offered or given a receipt. So I called them today and they emailed me a receipt, I then went over it and realized they over charged me for mileage, they charged $7.20 a mile when it should've been $3.60 per the state police contract they have. They also charged more then should of been in tolls and also charged me a Credit card processing fee which is also illegal in Massachusetts and prohibited in the state police contract. I have since filed complaints with state police and mass dpu of their over charging fees. Todisco's did say they would refund me with is fine but how many other people have they done this to?? IF ANYONE WAS TOWED BY TODISCO TOWING IN THE LAST COUPLE MONTHS I'D LOOK AT YOUR RECEIPT TO SEE IF THE SAME HAS HAPPENED TO YOU. They also had a class action lawsuit against them for the same exact thing and the guy won that case. I'm in the towing industry and know very well how this new state police contract works and they're not following the rates and rules. read more

Most people on here that are complaining are people who got their car towed for illegally parking....of course they are going to be pissed. Now on to my review; This place rocks. I went outside this morning to find my Jeep's starter dead. I called my insurance company's road side assistance, who called Todisco. The guy spent at least 20 minutes trying to fix the problem and was extremely knowledgeable and careful about my vehicle the whole time it was being towed. Believe me, my Jeep was down a VERY narrow drive way (5 inch clearance for the tow truck) and they managed to get it out without a scratch. My tow truck driver was super nice to boot! My car broke down this morning at 5:15am on the way to the gym and this was one of the only places that was available, polite and extremely helpful. Not only did they refer me to a tow company closer to my location but when that company couldn't come through they sent a tow truck out immediately and the guy was to my car in 20 mins. The gentleman was very polite, dropped me off at my home so I didn't have to take a cab or walk in the dark and then followed up with me after my car was dropped off at the auto shop. The driver Frankie went above and beyond his job by taking a look at my car and all the possibilities for the stall so that I would have some idea of what was wrong when I called the auto repair place. All around amazing customer service and all before 6am!! read more

This company is terrible and dishonest. They altered the times of a tow receipt to show that I was towed later in the day than I was. The reason this matters is because you can park in the lot up until a certain time. If you have legitimate business, such as UHAUL rental or something like that, go elsewhere. read more

Was in an accident the other night on storrow and todisco has the contract. They were going to tow my car to the yard, but asked if they could tow it someplace else. Gary called it in (he could have just said no) and he got the ok. Drove me back and we spent the ride talking. It was toward the ends of his shift, sounded like a hectic day for him from our conversation and he listened to me b-n-m about how bad my car dealership has been. I've had to interact with tow drivers in the past and i can't think of one that was even just ok. Gary was super nice and a class act. read more

This is a review for the Roxbury location. Got my car towed today thanks to street sweeping being an hour earlier than I last remembered....which, let's be honest, is one of the suckiest surprises first thing in the morning. However, when I went to get my car, the man who processed the transaction was so friendly, personable and pleasant. I left there smiling! I've had my car towed in Boston before, and I'm used to getting someone behind the counter who is disgruntled, impatient and only looks up to mutter "cash only." Not this place. The guy was super nice, they take credit, debit, or cash, and this location is close to S. Shore Plaza....so it's easy to navigate. For a sucky start to the day, and a $140 bill, I'm not too angry....so I figured I needed to write a review since that's rare after having one's car towed. :) read more

I don't know what all the bad reviews are about but our company just had the second great service from Todisco's. A vehicle in our fleet was involved in an accident and Todisco's showed up in a timely manner, got the vehicle up and towed an hour away with no issues! I will be calling them again for any future tow issues in Town! Appreciate all the help! read more

Todisco came out when I called AAA to get battery service. Because of my own silliness I had to call them 3 times the first day and 1 more time the next morning. It was 15 degrees the first day and 4 degrees the next day. I dealt with 4 different guys in that time span and 3 were named John or Johnnie and 1 was Mark, lol. Not only did they get there in the time frame promised, they were the nicest Bostonians on the coldest Boston days. I'm certain they weren't being nice just because they get paid to provide a service to the public. Every one of these guys just seemed genuinely, authentically nice...and funny! Thanks for being patient with all the call outs and for the 5 star service. Please tell Johnnie I should have listened to him the first call out. My tire was low so I called AAA for someone to come and change my tire. Todisco towing was here in about 10-15 minutes. The driver said my spare was also low on air, so he said he could tow me to a service station to get air for my tire then I could drive to the tire place to get the tires checked out. When we got to the service station I didn't have enough change and so the driver put his own money in the machine, and it did not work, so we spoke to the attendant and he said it was working fine, other people used it. But it did not work after the driver put a couple more bucks in the machine. So, the driver towed me to another gas station, this one had no air at all, so he finally towed me right to the tire place. I feel he went over and above, and I want him to know how much I appreciate what he did for me. I did not get his name but he was very kind and polite. Thank you so much. read more

I have never been inspired enough to write a review of any business or service. After being a satisfied customer of Todisco for over 2 years I have been inspired to write a review after a series of unsettling and unfortunate encounters with the service. I have had my car towed a few times for parking violations (dang street cleaning) and have called them to tow it when broken. I have also called them when I locked my keys in my car and when I had a flat tire. The customer service I received each time was so good that I made them my go to for anything car related in Boston. In my last encounter with Todisco, I was treated extremely poorly on a consistent basis for A few days in a row by multiple employees. My car was towed around the new year, and I was unable to get it to a shop as nobody was open. I understand that is just bad timing and luck on my part. I called numerous ones over a three day period to try and mediate the situation and pay to get it to a shop to be fixed. Each time I called I was either rushed off of the phone, left on hold for 28:56 (exactly), or told that I needed to come in in person first. Not one person I encountered in this last experience made a suggestion or help me understand how to best proceed. As a working recessional it was hard to find a mechanic to accommodate my hours. On top of that I had a completely unresponsive or helpful experience with Todisco to complicate the process. I am not dissatisfied with the small fortune that I was charged, rather the unacceptable, disrespectful, and quite frankly unfortunate service that I received in my last experience. My last experience will ensure that they not get a bit of my voluntary business EVER again. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would but it would allowed me. My car was towed and they caused over 2,000 dollars worth of damage to my car. The repair shop believes that my car was dropped so hard that it broke the piece that keeps the front wheels attached. On top of that, they charged me an extra 100 dollars because I wanted to make sure that I got a report written on the damage before I towed the card to get fixed and their manager is the only one that takes reports and he was not around. read more

My husband and I arrived at Logan to find our car's battery dead. The Massport folks came by and tried unsuccessfully to jump it. Todisco sent Kenny Logue, who was not only incredibly polite and cheery, but spent at least 45 mins trying to start the car on his own before towing us. And he towed our car to Lebanon, NH during hurricane Sandy! I have never dealt with Todicso and was quite surprised to see so many bad ratings. I hope this positive note counteracts the negative impression of several unhappy reviewers. read more

My SUV broke down in a very low clearance garage in the city & Todisco extracted it pretty easily to my surprise. They sent 2 guys-both of whom were clearly knowledgeable on this complicated process & were able to set my mind at ease. I would def recommend them if you need a tow in the city, ESP if it's a complicated one. read more

First, the.overcharging is absurd. They charge you a toll fee, a full day of storage even though you pick up the car the same afternoon it's been towed, and charge you $3/mile and consider it 15 miles from Beacon Hill to East Boston. The ultimate is that they ruin your car in the process of towing it. They broke the plastic covering to the bottom of my car in the process of towing it. About 2 weeks ago I'm working at my job in the back bay of boston. A tow truck from todisco drops a car directly in front of our front door leaves and doesn't come back for 20 minutes? Blocking our front entrance and creating a traffic mess. When the tow truck driver (brandon) returns I asked him why he had dropped the car where he did and he explodes on me with profanities and challenges me to a fight!!?? Considering his diminutive stature(small man's complex) I just laughed it off. I called todisco and complained about this wonderful employee and was assured it would be adressed. I now understand why towing companies in general have a bad rep. After not being able to start my car to go to work on the day we were supposed to have a snow storm (a couple of weeks ago), I went through my car manufacturer's towing service line (the car is still under warranty) and they got in touch with Todisco to set up the towing. To make a VERY long story short, I gave up after waiting for them for several hours. In the process, I spoke to several Todisco employees, some of which would tell me that they are on the way, while others kept saying that they still needed an official fax to proceed. At one point, one of them said he was holding he fax in his hands and got annoyed when I wanted to ensure that they truly are on the way. An hour and a half later, somebody else once again told me that they had no record of the fax, at which point I could not hold back and had to tell him "how bad" they are. He hung up one me and that was the end of that. I had to cancel the ticket with Todisco and create a new one with another company. The driver of the other company came within a half an hour and everything went smoothly. In the process, I told him about what I had been through with Todisco earlier. The guy knew exactly who I was talking about ( saying he knows "Pat" well) and told me how "Todisco leaves people stranded all the time", which is unfortunate, but good for him since he gets a lot of business because they drop the ball. read more

DANGEROUS!! I was not towed by this company, but was a victim of aggressive road rage by an on duty Todisco tow truck driver. Saturday, February 2nd at 2:45pm on a trip back from the airport, the driver followed less than a foot behind my vehicle as we took the South Boston exit. He attempted to pass me while on the exit, but there is a single lane and there was a line of cars at the red light. There was no place for him to go, and nearly hit my car. At that point he rolled down the windows and yelled profanities at me. Part of his rant included the fact he was headed to a service call. When did this company become a first responder, with authority such as the police or fire department. When did it become appropriate for a tow truck company to nearly cause accidents and run people off the road? The plate is 98 X. This driver proceeded to run a red light at the next intersection by passing two other cars already stopped at the light. A police report will be following. This driver should be reprimanded for his actions, behavior and lack of regard for public safety. read more

They are scum bags. They towed my car from a school lot at 6:53am (thanks for the documentation!) when the sign on the building clearly states cars towed after 7:30am. Even took a picture, but after being verbally abused I had to pay their ransom of $148 to get my car. See you in small claims court!! read more

Really disappointed by the way I have been treated by them! On January 15, 2014, I contacted AAA to tow my car from a parking lot close to my house to my body shop. I was surprised and glad that Todisco called me 20 minutes after my call to AAA and informed that their driver were at the place to tow my car. What I was not happy was when later the day I heard from my mechanic that my back passenger window was broken. Todisco's driver informed my mechanic that the window was broken on his way to the shop. The driver took many pictures however never contacted me to report the incident. On the same evening, I contacted Todisco but there was no supervisor, and nobody seemed to know anything that happened to my car. The next day I called and heard from their supervisor that there was no records of my car being towed on Wednesday morning (Really!!??). Upset, I contacted AAA and filed a complaint. Later, I contacted them again and their supervisor said he would contact my body shop and get more information; he never did. As a see a good customer service attendant/supervisor should had contacted the driver and the body shop to get the facts, and then called me giving a follow-up on my case, instead he opted to the silence. Today is Friday, January 17, and I have not heard from them. AAA called my mechanic, Todisco didn't. I had to get my car, and paid for the window replacement because I have to drive my child to the bus stop which is 3 miles from my house,at 6:30 am; he has asthma and I can't let him go by himself in this cold weather. I called Todisco twice today. First the supervisor was busy, then, at 1:30pm he had left for the day. I don't have words to express my disappointment by how they handle problems, and how I have been treated. The worse is that I live in the area and they are the only tow company I know of. I had some good experiences with them in the past, but it all washed off after this week. read more

Apparently its 15 miles back and forth to the north end and east boston.... so they charge $2 a mile plus you have to pay their toll fee too. Their prices are outrageous, they are the most expensive out of any towing company that tows for the city of Boston. Bunch of crooks. So the town of Chelsea just took 3 of my cars off my commercial property that I rent. They did not give me tickets or warnings. The cop there couldn't not explain whats going on. I got a call from a friend saying there towing your cars. Todisco has not rite to tow a car off the road, and on privet property. But they did. I rented the property to have storage for cars my tow truck and toys. Commercial zoned building. So the town and Todisco just robbed me for my cars. Thanks! Alos when I got there I got to see them scratch the the dodge. They cant explain why they were towed as well. Will be taking legal action. Any one with advice let me know. read more

this towing company does quite a lot of damage to cars when they tow them and they will not take responsibility for the damage. Their drivers are rude and nasty as nasty can be. I picked up a Uhaul here when I was moving one-way to Chicago. I had read a lot of bad reviews about Uhaul in general so I was nervous about them having the right truck, etc. They called early the day before to confirm both my truck and the pickup time exactly as I had ordered at Uhaul.com; when I arrived on the pick-up day they were easy enough to deal with. The truck itself smelled of smoke but that wasn't really their fault. It's a bit of a hike from the T, probably about a mile, but OK overall. read more

If you are towed here, despite not having a car, you need to drive. Do NOT walk, don't even think about it, especially if your going to their "satellite site" opposed to a headquarters- which they will fail to tell you. And in fact this spot is not open 24/7, only when the one tow guy who is around town towing you away decides to show up, so be prepared to wait in the sketchiest part outer boston, where Roxbury meets Dorchester. The worst towing company IN THE WORLD!! I honestly can say, I rather push my car all the way home before havin these guys help me out w/ a tow. There service sux. The management is god awful. The dispatcher is a complete ass & makes u feel like an idiot when in reality hes the one who is a complete moron.
