Went today and ordered a brownie sundae and just a bag of prepackaged ruedas. When we opened the ruedas you could smell they were rancias (in Spanish) I proceeded to check the date and they were expired. I did take back in store and they didn't have any more of the same item so they traded me for a cool ranch Doritos. I'm sure the brownie from the sundae was also prepackaged and old because it was nasty, dry and crumbly. In total for just those two items it's was about $15. NOT WORTH IT. Uhhm can I just say that this place is probably the only great spots out here in the Contra Costa Concord/Pittsburg/Antioch/Walnut Creek area. I have had my fair share at eating at places like this in the East Bay and it's alright unless you're in the hood. But foreals, my elote was evenly balanced with the mayo, cheese and hot cheetos. I honestly swallowed the hell out of my elote and savored my hot cheetos and pepino - LOL. They're so good, I went around my office advertising this location. I was craving a good torta and i had seen that this place sells tortas and they looked pretty good. When i first arrived i was greeted and the employee had amazing customer service. I asked what the torta brings and she said lettuce, tomato, ham, cheese, avocado, and jalapeños, and mayo. I ordered one with everything and one without tomatoes and jalapeños. I also asked for the torta to be toasted as well. I was honestly disappointed. The tortas have no avocado and they are not toasted at all. I came here today around 3:30PM and before going to any place I always check if they're open or not. However, when I got there, their doors were locked, yet had their "Open" sign's lights on. I waited for 5 minutes and called them to see if they're open and a lady answered and said they should be open, that they close at 8PM and I proceeded to tell her the doors were locked. Then she says let me call them and I said no problem. She calls me back and said that they had "shift changes." I understand things happen with staffing issues but things like that make customer's not want to make a drive just to try a shop that says open and wouldn't even be open. The lady on the phone was nice and polite so I may give them another chance but I really don't like wasting my time driving to give a new spot a try when it doesn't know how to maintain it's customer service. read more
