Wow! What a find! Parking lot is small but the food is worth it. It is an obvious local favorite. They did a brisk business in take out while we were there and you can see why. The burritos were flavorable. We had the super burrito and the shrimp burrito. The proteins were tender and you can taste all the individual ingredients. Not one thing dominated which is rare in a burrito. And everything was super fresh. And the carnitas were bite sized cubes of deliciousness that melted in your mouth. The corn tortillas were home made. Chips came with salsa and really fresh refried beans. Is that a thing? While waiting to pay, I chatted with the nice gentleman ahead of me who commented he would eat here everyday if his wife would let him. I could see why. He said this was the best Mexican restaurant in town. We don't eat in Pittsburg often but I may believe him. Both kids agreed this was a five star and my son loves Mexican food while my daughter craves strong flavors. so that says something about this place. Not to mention the service was friendly and we loved the eclectic ambiance. The plates, the chairs, the adorable napkin holder all gave it a special welcoming vibe. I'm not usually one to leave negative reviews, and I really tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, especially since I like supporting small neighborhood businesses. Unfortunately, the food has consistently tasted like poor quality, and it's easy to tell the ingredients aren't fresh. The burritos have a strange sour taste that makes them hard to enjoy. We also tried the asada fries, and they were very disappointing. The fries were thin and extremely oily, and I unfortunately found two hairs in them. After eating them, my stomach felt really upset and I ended up getting sick. read more

Every time I get my paycheck I go here to eat one of them Asada Super Quesadillas. I do have to ask for extra guacamole, lettuce, and cream (which they give me) because it's too good! I also love their Horchata and Asada Tacos! I've brought my sister and my mom there and they both love it as well. Disappointed Went there on July 3. First it is more a taqueria than a full Mexican restaurant. It is part of a chain but locally owned. Their menu online at La Hacienda restaurants is nothing like the menu at this location. Maybe 50% of the items are offered here. No combination plates, less entrees and specials. They have no air conditioning just a few fans so on hot days it is very warm inside. They do have beer and margaritas. Ordered the combination fajitas. Good rice and beans. A little skimpy on guacamole, sour cream and pico. The steak, chicken and shrimp were way over cooked and dry. Good tortillas. The food was tasty. I think if you're looking for a decent taqueria rather than a full Mexican restaurant they would be good for nachos, quesadillas, tacos and burritos. However, if that's what I wanted I would go to Dulce Antojitos on Bailey which has much better food. I had high hopes this would be my go to Mexican restaurant. There were so many things on the online La Hacienda menu I wanted to try but this location did not have much of what I was looking forward to trying. My hunt for a good authentic full Mexican restaurant will continue. read more

Craving for breakfast burrito on a Saturday. We ended up ordering a breakfast burrito (asked them to make it super) and a super burrito around brunch time. They were both amazing . Portion is huge and I had to split it into 2 meals. Meat were flavorful, not overly seasoned nor were they bland. Rest of the ingredients inside the burrito were fresh as well. Mainly, it's my go to for ordering fried fish. lo! I don't cook fish at home, and unless I go to an Asian market, there aren't too many options for whole fried fish that doesn't cost a lot of money. I don't know what the options are, but I get their fried tilapia. Tilapia isn't for everyone, but I love it. They also give me a side of refried beans, and vegetables (avocado, lettuce, tomatoes). The ambiance at this restaurant was very calm and welcoming. Not many people were inside when we came in and it stayed like that throughout. The service was decent, seems like they may be understaffed but overall, they did deliver everything in a timely manner. The food overall was a 7.5/10. Although the burrito doesn't look like a "super" burrito, it was very full of meat which I enjoyed. A downside of the burrito though was that some of the meat was crunchy/burnt but it didn't take away from the taste much. Overall, my favorite part of the meal was the Agua de Horchata which was very tasty. I would recommend this restaurant and would come again! read more

OUCH, this meal was like JLo's movie "GiGli" major flop. First, I ordered asada tacos and misses order al pastor tacos. I even through on an asada burrito for good measure. I've been searching for a place that makes great breakfast chilaquiles in the Pittsburg (Harbor/Railroad Area) for over two years...and I think I just found it. I like adding chorizo and eggs over my chilaquiles and asked if they could add it and was told it would be "no problem". Staff that took my order was friendly and polite and my order was complete and ready for pickup in less than 10 mins. The chilaquiles were amazing! They had a bit of a spice and kick to them, but that's how good chilaquiles should be. The portion size was bigger than I expected (which is always good) and they come with sides of rice/beans and even a container of la-crema. The staff even threw in chips and salsa for me to take home. The chorizo meat was flavorful and cooked well, and the red sauce used didn't overpower the rest of the dish. (They also offer it with green sauce). I'll definitely come back and get them again. I can't say anything about their normal lunch and dinner menu yet, but the chilaquiles for breakfast is highly recommended. Many little taco shops and Mexican places in Pittsburg have tried to do breakfast and chilaquiles...but this has been the only place so far that's done them right! read more

Been coming to this place since 2016. It was different ownership back then. That didn't seem to change anything though. The place is and always has been on point! Awesome food and friendly people. I've never been disappointed coming here. And unlike a lot of places, the food quality is no different from dine-in to take-out. The quality excels either way. The fact they blew through this pandemic, where so many others unfortunately had to close their doors, really is testament them getting it right. Please just keep doing what you're doing! read more
