From a single location in San Jose that opened in 1971, Togos has grown to an an empire with 180+ locations. (Note: many claim that togos history goes back to Michigan in the early 60s) These are solid reliable sandwiches; they aren't going to wow you but aren't likely to disappoint either. The bread is better than subways but not as good as specialty places. Think McSandwich. My workhorse is #24, turkey avocado. I ask for spicy mustard but most locations don't have it. (This one didn't) Sourdough is a good choice. If avocado isn't your thing, there's #4 turkey, salami, and cheddar. This goes on wheat and is defn better with spicy mustard (would it be wrong if I brought my own?) While the above two are reliable at every location, #37 Brewpub Chicken varies widely. The chicken here felt a little dry which they tried to cover up with extra ranch. Didn't work. Another hit or miss is #7 Roast Beef. Here it's more well done, other places it's rare. Two good sandwiches, one ok sandwich, and one wish-it-were-better sandwich. The location was clean and the people were nice. read more

I usually don't crave sandwiches but something was making me crave a hot roast beef sandwich! Lol I knew this Togos was here, and I'm glad it was still open/here! The sandwich was fine, everything tasted fresh and I wish there was more lettuce, but the main issue I had was the server who made my sandwich then went to the register to ring up my order. There were two people making sandwiches including the lady that was making my sandwich. She wore gloves and she didn't take them off as she used to register nor handling my credit card. At that moment I realized she probably did the same with the lady in front of me and use the exact same pair of gloves on the register as well as making the sandwiches. Hummmmmm...... The Prospect and Lawrence location relocated and this is it. That one was great. This one, not so much. Every order, something is wrong. They'll forget the avocado, they'll put onions on when they aren't supposed to, etc. C'mon people - this is not that hard. Just pay attention! I'm not exaggerating when I say they literally hired the most illiterate workers. The ingredients are literally listed out in the receipt clearly and they still manage to mess up every time. Fast service, delicious sandwiches, and sweet workers! This was my first time at this location. I came in during the afternoon and parking was a bit hectic, but I was able to find a spot. There was no line and I received my sandwich in less than 5 min. I ordered a regular turkey avocado sandwich on white bread. It was massive. Horrible customer service. Went in to redeem my birthday reward and the cashier was rude and told my husband the system was down and wasn't working. I came in today -- ordered my #4 turkey/salami/cheese sandwich. 2nd time in -- I'm glad it's closer to my house. I asked for swiss cheese, assuming it would replace the cheddar cheese. Togo's ( and Doordash ) outdid themselves today witht the LG Turkey, Ham & Cheddar sandwich I had delivered today straight to my door within 20 minutes! OMG I placed the order, waited in the living room and got a text almost 20 minutes later saying it was outside and indeed it was! Talk about streamlined service with the instructions I give the peeps at Doordash now I have NO PROBLEM getting my food anymore and I couldn't be happier! The Prospect location has always been my go-to location and usually it's hit or miss but this time it was a definite hit. Sometimes you just have to order the right sandwich as well to get your money's worth, at least IMO. The sandwich was BEYOND massive. I almost didn't want to eat it all today but I was hungry and I when I was done eating it I thought I was going to have a tummy ache but I didn't thank God. The loads and loads of turkey and ham plus the cheese and all the fresh veggies including the yummy Parmesan bread made me say " YUM " more than a few times as I was devouring the sandwich. I really didn't want to eat another burger so I opted for Togo's and I'm glad I did cos the price point is comparable to the best burger when you take everything into account and since eating out is SOOO expensive now it's wise to know where your dining dollar goes, and I got a great meal that was reasonable healthy at a good price so it checked all the boxes. I usually get the same sandwiches over again next time I want to try their BBQ sandwich and then after that their Pastrami. I really don't like chicken or roast beef but I could opt for those too. Been here a handful of times as it's conveniently close to my work. Super friendly staff, the sandwiches are always made packed and prompt when I order online. They have a coke free style machine that cater's to everyone's drink of choice. Very spacious, lot's of seats, tv's going. And I love how it's always cool in there(temperature wise). I hate the fact that the place is so pricey, wish Togo's would generate some deals/coupons/frequent visitor stamp cards, etc. That's a knock on Togo's corporate not this establishment. WOW. On Tuesday I felt as if I had a 5 star dining experience. This location hits it out of the park every-time I visit. I'm just incredibly impressed by the latina girl today, I think she might be a manager because she wore a black shirt. The place had a massive lunch rush with about 10 people in the regular line and 5 in the online pick up line. She was working 100 mph but still had a very positive tone, communicated with the customers and staff, helped her staff, answered questions and made sure no one lost control of the situation. This review is on The Brewpub Chicken Sandwich. I've always been a fan of TOGO's since I was a kid, that's 30+ years. So I have my favorites at TOGO's but I believe I have a new hands down favorite. The Brewpub Chicken is a perfectly delicious sammy. It combines some of my favorite ingredients in a sandwich like bacon, avocado, cheddar and ranch dressing. Now you throw in some rotisserie chicken and freshly baked bread into the fray and you have one mean sandwich. I get a large but I can put back another one, they're that good! Instant regret, why do we punish ourselves? I WANT TO LOVE TOGO'S AGAIN! But, sadly here we are, a shell of the beast Togo's was. Togo's was the place to eat. We went in craving a sandwich and left completely satisfied. It had a branding all it's own. Unique, hip locations. Killer staff and the familiar sound "can I have a ring please?" Unfortunately, TOGO's went out and hired a marketing team that thinks we need to have a cool thing like "TOGO'S Style." They could have hit on so many other slogans if they only spent a week making sandwiches and experiencing what TOGO'S culture actual was. They went out and hired Ebenezer to manage production and now we have less meat and cheese. I just had a 22 that had four slices of cheese. As I recall it was seven when I worked for a deal Togo's. If Togo's wants to win they need to go back to their roots. I leave this location still hungry and will swing into La Villa and pick up a real sandwich for the same price. I've never really had Togo's as my top choice for sandwich places, but the last time we went, the food tasted pretty good. My bro and I ordered for the fam and got two 24-inch subs of Roast Beef and Turkey and Cheese. It took quite a while to get them to us, and they were put in a bag with a tear in it (though to them it was okay, as long as I held it a certain way...). Eating the subs was different than I was used to because the bread got softer. Thank goodness! Togo's bread used to be supertough! the meal was just avg, and I, like usual, would have preferred Quiznos or Subway. Yet for being better than before, I'll give you 2.5 stars, Togos. read more

About an hour before my scheduled pickup time, the store called me to confirm the order and ask if I wanted the hot sandwiches made in advance or made once I got there. Once I got there, the manager (Rose) also allowed me to do a few last minute drink exchanges as well. My order was filled perfectly. The service by the manager and staff was excellent. I agree. DO NOT GO HERE. Besides the fact that the kids working there don't know how to make a decent sandwich, they don't know how to keep the place clean. I ordered a roast beef sandwich and the person helping me asked me all the typical questions about what I wanted on my sandwich. We were almost done with it when the kid gets called over to ring up someone else's order. Well the kid doesn't take off his plastic glove to do that, nor does he take off the glove to touch the money. I'm not a germ-phob but why is he touching everything!? So he comes back to my sandwich, starts touching it, and then continues to ask me if I want salt and pepper. I can only do my best to not let my jaw hit the floor.
