When we arrived, there was a long line. Thinking we'd save time, we ordered online. We finally got our sandwiches 22 minutes after the intended completion time. We waited for almost 50 minutes in an unconditioned sandwich shop! To make matters worse, two women came in 20 minutes after us, ordered at the counter, and got their sandwiches 10 minutes before we did. The workers behind the counter weren't moving quickly either. Got the Hickory smoked ham sandwich warmed up, it was delicious. My hubby got the wild wild west sandwich and that was a nice one too. It was my first time getting food from this place and overall its good and I think I'd come back for more next time for sure. I got the paradise lemonade and It was sooooo gooood. Though I also ordered the 1/2 pint red potato and egg salad. That had an interesting taste, which I didn't like, but I'd definitely go back for the sandwiches and the drinks for sure. read more

Ordered three sandwiches two were good the third not so good pressed the French Dip the bread was not soft seemed bit old, the Aujus dipping sauce was so salty . Perhaps some of the other sandwiches may taste better however I would not recommend the AuJus at all. Wasn't very clean - tables were dirty no one was in there when we arrived well one couple in the corner they left while we were ordering. They had three team members it would have been nice cleaning tables off after folks leave for your next guest. My hubby found table rag and did himself. We had a Big Mike sandwich here today. It was underwhelming at best. The pesto was barely there and the sundried tomato aioli that we added (extra charge) was nearly undetectable except for a faint orange/red hue on part of the bread. On paper, the sandwich sounded great, but in reality it was almost flavorless. Not what you'd expect from a freshly made sandwich that costed $16 bucks. As my wife said, "that was NOT a sixteen dollar sandwich." It's probably less than 3 stars in my book. I'll avoid coming back to this location. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! Specially the employee ALEJANDRA. I called apologizing for HER mistake and I am shocked how much attitude was given. I'm allergic to tomatoes & called saying there was tomatoes & she responded "well the veggie I know had no tomatoes because I made that sandwich myself" the sandwich photo CLEARLY shows there's tomato. This place must have some loyal customers because it's been here for awhile. I've been here twice and I never finish my meal feeling like I want to return right away. Mind you I only order a basic cheddar and turkey on a French roll so nothing too amazing. The sandwich is good but not amazing but it gets the job done. I also ordered potato salad which is my fave but as soon as I took a bite I could tell it was store bought. You know those tubs you buy for a BBQ when you don't want to make the potato salad. It's good but I was hoping for some made in house. But nonetheless it also got the job done. I ordered my food via delivery and it arrived fresh and correct. Love the variety of sandwiches which they offer at Mr Pickles. One of the best sandwich shops in the Bay Area. I usually order a different sandwich each time I go. My favorites have been the Italian, the Hero, Mama Mia, and the Kickin Chicken. Mr Pickles offers vegetarian and non vegetarian sandwiches which are so delicious. I have been to Mr Pickles to get a single sandwich or pick them up for an event and the experiences have been fantastic. We did take-away so I only noticed the counter area really, but the place seemed clean, and there was a good amount of tables available when we were there. The service at the counter was great, the staff were friendly and packed everything up for us in about 10 minutes total. I love this sandwich shop!! Truly I enjoy their toasted dutch crunch Sammies more than I do other popular sandwich shops such as little Lucca. Their Baja sauce (spicy chipotle) on any make your own sandwich is a must. They also have a few vegetarian options that include veggie chicken (nothing like Ike's range but options are available!) In addition, they have gigantic pickles. The only downside is the price point, $15 for a sandwich feels like a little too much, but overall I'll pay for quality! I would definitely share this with someone or save it for lunch the next day, since the sandwiches are pretty big! I needed a quick place for lunch and chose this shop. I ordered the 49er sandwich and split it with a fellow classmate. Unfortunately, this sandwich was disappointing. The bread was not toasted well enough. It seemed like old bread that was on the verge of being stale. The teriyaki sauce seeped into the bread making it soggy and wet. I couldn't remember anything else about the sandwich because it was difficult to get past the bread. It was also almost 13 dollars with tip for a relatively small sandwich. This spot has been my go-to whenever I just want a simple sandwich. Since quarantine, I've been doordashing a lot, therefore, I usually just get the spinach wrap and the macaroni salad. I honestly don't think I'll be ordering the macaroni salad, due to the inconsistency. The macaroni salad I ordered smelled extremely sour today and I barely even got anything for $3.
