The #13 Original Italian was loaded and perfectly dressed, the #42 Chipotle Chicken Cheese Steak had great heat without being overwhelming, and the #1 BLT with avocado was easily worth it. My dad's #56 Big Kahuna got rave reviews too. Everything arrived fresh, nothing soggy, which is always the risk with delivery. One hiccup: we ordered four brownies and got zero. A little disappointing when you've already made room for dessert. This is the BEST Jersey Mike's location I have been to. They are all great but this one is the BEST! All of the staff are genuinely happy and friendly and work efficiently to make a high quality delicious sandwich. You can tell they all like working here. The manger Vika does an outstanding job and I can tell that she leads her team by example by working hard with the team behind the counter. During the lunch rushes the team works quickly with ease to keep the flow of customers going out the door. The restaurant is clean as well which I appreciate. But the other day my job had me down in the Los Gatos area, and I happen to stop at the Downing Shopping Center. I decided to go in and checkout the Jersey Mike's restaurant. It's a casual dining restaurant, with modern decor. The place wasn't busy, but they were working on online orders. The young man politely asked for my order. I ordered something simple, the #17 "Mike's Famous Philly, " on white & regular size. Price $10.90. As the young man worked on my order, I asked him...."what's the difference between this place and Subway Sandwiches?" He quickly replied...."we use fresher ingredients." He told me the veggies are chopped onsite, and the meat for my sandwich will come right off the grill. He wasn't kidding! I saw the grill cook scoop up the meat, slap it on the bun, wrap it up and hand it to me. It doesn't get any fresher than that. Prices are reasonable for delicious sandwiches, especially for a chain. I usually get #13 The Original Italian and I love it every time. You get 5 different types of meat, and I like getting my sandwich Mike's Way with pickles, mayo, and honey mustard. Usually the employees are dealing with online orders too, so I understand the wait. This is a decent spot for sandwiches, but it's a chain and the lunch rush is pretty chaotic here. The poor guy manning the register also has to pack subs and answer to all the pick up orders, which led to lots of customers standing around waiting for the employee to available. It looked like they were severely understaffed for the crowd they get, so management probably needs to do a better job here. I ordered 2 items online - 1 wrap and 1 bowl (so no assembly even needed) and was quoted a 30 minute wait time online. Once I got to the store (well after the 30 minute mark, and after was finally able to ask for my order), I was told it was not yet ready so had to wait further. Definitely super slow speed here for order-aheads for such a simple meal. The food tasted fine, albeit thrown together a bit haphazardly and the wrap was super small compared to the sandwich size, but ultimately, it was the wait time that ruined it for me. Ordering from a fast food place, I kind of expect food to be ready quickly, but that didn't happen here. I saw other folks who clearly had to wait additional time for their online orders as well. I haven't tried Jersey Mike's but have seen some locations pop up here and there in the bay area. I was craving a sandwich and saw they were on Doordash so decided to give them a shot. I ordered a ham and provolone cold sandwich on white bread and my friend ordered a veggie sandwich. When I saw their toppings I wasn't sure I'd like the red wine vinegar and almost took it off but I'm really glad I left it on, it was really delicious and complimented the sandwich really well. On the app you can remove or add toppings, I added mayo and mustard and everything tasted really good. I also thought the sandwich size, regular, was good for the price. One thing I like about their sandwich rolls is that they are crunchy yet soft on the inside and it wasn't super dense, just the right amount. I prefer sandwich rolls that aren't dense. Ordered a Cali sub in a tub and the guy started with a small amount of lettuce and moved on to the next step, but I asked for more lettuce and he said the next guy will add. Every now and then I get sandwich cravings. I love a good deli sandwich, so I thought I would check out Jersey Mike's Subs while I was working in the area. I ordered a regular sized turkey sandwich with the works. As I'm going through the line, I notice that they have a pepper spread like those you would see on Italian deli sandwiches on the east coast, so I asked for those, jalapenos and pepperoncini's. Just give me all the peppers. My sandwich came out really quickly and I was on my way back to work. Today my daughter placed an online order, picked it up and brought it home for us to enjoy. It was ready when she got to the location. A BLT sounded great until I ate it. I believe I ate enough sodium in my half of sandwich for my weekly intake. I had no idea bacon could be that salty!!
