This is not a course you're likely to get bored on. - greens are well maintained, roll true and are 'readable'. - fairways in good condition despite the course only having been open for a week following the winter shutdown. - plenty of bunkers but they're not too punitive and the sand is good. - not a lot of water; the trees and bunkers protect the course. - even with a cool day, the beverage cart was in operation and stopped by several times - nice practice facilities including a practice bunker Overall, I very much like Glaze Meadow. It's not too difficult for high handicappers and probably offers a good challenge to scratch golfers (like I'd know). One of the biggest challenges for every visitor is finding your way back to the highway! While they have signs on the way in directing you to the golf course, there are none on the way out and it isn't a straight shot. Good luck!

First tee starter was helpful and gave us tips since it was our first time. Played with 2 locals. Course maintenance: all areas were very well maintained, tee boxes, fairways, greens. Layout: fun and engaging with a variety of different length holes- par 5's were challenging, so were par 3's. Loved the tree lined fairways except when I hit into them. lol. Best part- pace of play advice from starter 2:06 for 9 holes! Marshall came by 2-3 x each nine and thanked our group for keeping up. Ended up playing in 4 flat with every tee time booked on a Sunday. If you're not a good player, like me, you will find this course difficult and challenging. 3 of us struggled, lost LOTS of balls in the many, many hazards. So we just tried to enjoy the beauty as we racked up snowman after snowman (i.e. 8 on a par 4). Not forgiving at all. Greens were in fine shape, and I loved the challenging slopes and angles, since you dont see that on the cheap courses I usually play. Carts ran great, friendly staff, driving range. Surprisingly you dont get any free range balls with the hefty greens fees. I'd play here again if I ever manage to get better.

I saw some people mentioned outdated cabins in their reviews but I dont get why? Theyre historic and retro design but meticulously maintained and clean. Someone clearly knows a lot about design because it feels like youre staying in an art piece that perfectly compliments the gorgeous forests and river outside. All the staff we ran into was so nice and helpful and they all work really hard to make it a great experience for people to enjoy. Honestly too, the wedding amenities looked AMAZING. If youre going to celebrate your love anywhere in nature, this should be the place. I bought a hat with a freakin Loloma lodge name on it! Who does that?! I did because this place was magical. I played here for the first time this month and I loved it. Did I loose some golf balls, yep sure did. Did I care nope. I have 3 favorite holes; Number 1. We staid in the Cascade Building and we overlooked the first hole. Beautiful to look at anytime of day and a very challenging first hole. Second favorite hole Number 10. A great elevated tee shot with incredible views all around. Finally my Third favorite hole, (actually a tie since I birdied them), 17 and 18. Call ahead on before the turn order your drink and or snack. The club house staff, and pro shop staff are all just top notch. The nicest and friendliest golf staffers around! Five stars to each of them! See you next September!

As a below average player I thought the course was fun and challenging, and somewhat forgiving. The greens were hit and miss for condition, some were great others beat up. I'm not sure if its standard but they let us have a free bucket of range balls to share before our tee time - nice! As we went to get our carts, they were turning them around quickly (spraying with water), one was soaking wet yet the young lady seemed miffed we asked for a towel to wipe seats down. The 9th hole was a train wreck for me - it dog-legs left; what you can't see is that it splits after that around a water hazard; you'll have to choose the 'high road' or the 'low road' lol. Recommended, i'd love to come back and play all 18. On Memorial Day it got pretty stacked up; relax, its golf and its a holiday!

The volcanic cinder in the sand traps looks great in photos but will destroy your clubs so don't hit out of them. The course has a great layout and some nice long challenging holes but you can't help but feel that you have been cheated due to the things that I've listed above.
