It's been a while since I've been to Token Ramen, but honestly it's just as good as I remember! I stopped in for lunch and thankfully it was pretty quiet around the time I went. The team at the service counter helped me out with placing my order quickly, and the turnaround time for my food was a super short wait! This time I got tonkotsu ramen which is always so yummy, especially with the egg on top! I also ordered edamame and a lychee punch. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to Token Ramen! You order at a counter and then grab a seat and someone brings out your drinks and food. Both the drinks and food came out very quickly after we ordered. The ramen was tasty, although definitely not the best ramen we have had. The broth had good flavor but it was just not as flavorful as some Tonkotsu broths I have had. The chasu was a bit thick for my liking and a little tough. However, I really liked the flavor of the egg, scallions and pickeled radish (I think? The red strips on top ) We got the gyoza as well, which were tasty! I really like the dipping sauce that came with them. I also got the Thai Tea which I thought was good but nothing special. My boyfriend got the iced coffee latte and said he was really impressed with that though! You can tell they just opened so they're still trying to get in the swing of things service wise. They offer indoor seating, I attached a photo so you can see. I'm not really a boba fan so I ordered a sesame matcha milk and it was delicious! I had the black garlic ramen, which was good (the best part was the seasoned egg) and my date had the hibachi lunch special and said it was surprisingly delicious. I ordered from here on Doordash. This is my second time ordering from here. The lunch prices here are good for ramen and hibachi. I ordered the Lunch Hibachi Shrimp with Fried Rice and Clear Soup. These shrimp were good! I really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce they were covered in. They also had a good bite to them. The veggies were cooked well and had good flavor mixed with shrimp. The clear soup was good, standard. The Fried Rice just tasted like white rice they mixed an egg in. Luckily the white sauce fixed the flavorless rice. I think the lunch prices here are great and I would definitely order the Hibachi again, maybe I'll try the noodles instead next time since the fried rice wasn't great. Altogether though the meal is good. I had the ramen here before as well and it was good but definitely not the best I had. I will definitely be ordering from here again because the price is good. The cashiers are friendly though two of their front of house people/ cashiers are better than the rest (not friends with any of the workers, just my feelings). Usually grab a boba tea and occasionally will grab lunch. The lunch specials at 10.49 are a good deal if you pop by Monday through Friday. It was sweet and tart. The boba were perfectly cooked. For appetizers, we got the shrimp shumai and a chicken katsu. The shumai were delicate and delicious. It is nice to see more food options in Lake Nona, especially a ramen restaurant! We have come here for dinner twice now. The staff are always very cordial and welcoming. The ambiance is nice, and there are plenty of seating options. The restaurant accommodated eight of my friends on our first visit! My go to ramen dish is the Mega Pork. It comes in a large bowl of delicious fatty pork broth. The ramen has a nice texture and bite to it, and I love how it clings onto the flavors of broth. The chashu and egg are cooked beautifully, and I loved the slight char on the chashu that adds such nice depth to the dish. My one suggestion would be to have a side of togarashi like other ramen restaurant so people can adjust their own spice profile. I also tried the Token bowl which came with salmon, tuna, and yellowtail cuts on sushi rice, topped with scallion, cucumber, and sesame oil. It was yummy but I thought it was a bit overpriced compared to sushi bowls from other places around town. My friends had a sushi roll which was decent but nothing amazing compared to other sushi restaurants. TLDR; great ramen shop and I would recommend the Mega Pork! The ramen was ok, not the richest or heartiest broth. The pork chashu pieces were small and thin, and the bowl only came with 2 pieces, so it would be nice if they added an extra 1-2 pieces. Since moving to Austin TX I've had the best ramen of my life so far, so that's the reason for the three stars. This dish was cool. I feel like ramen places are not a dime a dozen and it's great because it's legitimately a differentiated experience to eat. I love how balanced a bowl can be. You're getting some great veg, protein, carbs and of course the broth. My favis the marinated eggs which was decent in this bowl. For me, I felt like the meat, egg and veggies were underseasoned, I would have liked more broth. But overall it was a decent bowl of ramen. Here we ordered and then it came out to us. It was super clean, a small intimate place to sit and have a quick meal. If you are ever in Austin, check out Ramen Tatsuya. That's what I'm comparing it to.
