I got the Sesame ChickenMeal with fried rice and it was really good. The service was fast I ordered ahead and the food only took like 20 minutes to prepare. Recently i've went came again and I got the Chicken and Shrimp Hibachi and that was amazing. I highly recommend it. Ordered my food by phone for pickup. The man who operated the cash register was very rude and noticed that he was that way with two other customers who came in while I was waiting on my order. The food was good but I will not go back there again. Through my receipt and the pen on the counter for me to sign and then through the next receipt on the counter too. I should have went with my first thought and told him to refund my money and leave. It amazes me how businesses want your business and the front line staff are so rude. Food was to die for, everything was so delicious. They give you large portions and the food just melts in your mouth. They cook it right before your eyes. I got the Hibachi steak and chicken with rice and vegetables and 3 egg rolls with a side salad and it took me two days to eat it all. It does take a little while before you get your food but it was worth it. Also they are not talkative and I can't remember them saying Thank You, but it could be their culture. read more

So I ordered Tuna roll with avocado, Spicy Tuna roll and I asked if they would make me a Tuna cucumber roll. They did. I also got a roll off of their Specials board, Dynamite roll o believe. All we're very good. The spicy tuna wasn't as spicy as I would have liked. I also ordered Crab Rangoons and they were spectacular. I don't know what the dipping sauce was but it was perfect for the Rangoons. The 3 tuna rolls we're $9.99 and came with Miso soup. The soup was good too. I've been to a different location in Memphis so I wanted to check and see if this location was just as good. I can honestly say it's the bomb. My friend who came with me even said it was way better than the previous sushi place that Tokyo Grill replaced. I'm glad I was able to introduce her to here as I personally love not only the food but the price. It's pretty much amazing. I think the only thing we didn't like was the Kami Cheese Pocket because it was super awkward to eat- at one point some even shot up my friend's nose. Rude guy behind the counter had added things to my wife's order. I did not notice it until after he had ran my credit card. Once I explained the mistake he told me "he no make mistakes !!" He just lied about my wife had ordered (because I was standing next to her when she called.) The guy never offered to correct it !! He even tried to hand me a can coke like my wife had ordered it which is really sad because no one in my house drinks coke !! Also he told my wife it would be ready in 20 minutes but it ended up more like 50 minutes!! This was the saddest excuse for General's chicken I've eaten in 41 years of my life. The chicken was obviously old which makes me questions every thing else on the menu of a "sushi" place. They forgot our egg rolls so I can't review those. The crab rangoons were good but seriously the chicken was hideously old to the point I did not feel safe eating it. I would have taken it back but they closed briefly after I received my order. I just moved to the area and was really excited to have a place with their menu close by but save your money. My girl and I went to Tokyo grill the other night and ordered an order of shrimp fried rice and a sushi roll. We went and sat down to on our order. We then proceeded to wait about 45 minutes watching other people come in and order and get there food within around 10 minutes, but remind you we're still waiting on our food. I finally went up to the counter to ask him If he could check on our food and he shooed me away. I politely went and sat back down to wait another 5-10 minutes. Our food finally came up and I kindly asked for some yum yum sauce and then proceeded to try and charge me. I said no thank you due to the fact that we sat there for almost an hour waiting on rice and a sushi roll. We finally started eating our food and it was not good at all. This location is very dumpy with no interest in appealing to the customer; other locations for the chain are quite nice, especially at Quince and Kirby. Last night (6/8/2019) I went to Tokyo Grill to purchase dinner. I found it strange that before I could get out of my car an Asian female came outside asking if I had a to-go order, which I replied no. I placed my order and was told that I can wait in my car and they would bring my order to me. I thought that was strange as well. So I waited in my car. Shortly thereafter another patron went in to order and was allowed to set down and wait while they prepared his order. Was it because I am African American and the other customer was white and he was allowed to sit in the restaurant? Whatever the reason I will not spend my money with them any more. read more

Tokyo Grill opened in place of my favorite Chinese restaurant that closed suddenly. I was very sad to loose them and was very hesitant to try Tokyo Grill. I finally gave them a try and I must say. I was very pleased with their sushi. I would also say they are now in my top 5 best sushi list. My only complaint is that I love wasabi with my sushi and they seemed to be very stingy with it. I had the 12 piece Crispy Salmon Roll which is a lot of sushi. I received a small amount of wasabi (Equivalent to the size of like one piece of cooked popcorn) even after asking twice for extra. I would have even been willing to pay extra even. Its a shame to have to beg places for condiments after spending $30 on food. I want to repeat again that the Sushi and Clear Soup I had was very good. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was for not giving me enough wasabi after asking for extra. I will try them again and I hope this was just a fluke. read more

Best Japanese food ever at a really good price! The hibachi chicken and steak are both incredible!

We are new to the area and have been trying new restaurants. We love Japanese food but were sorely disappointed in this experience. The gyozas were oversteamed and the dumpling wrapper was falling off the dumplings. The spring rolls while crispy on the outside were mushy on the inside. The sushi was okay, but the ponzu tasted almost sweet which totally killed the use of it as a sauce. My daughter got the hibachi shrimp which she complained was "not cooked". Translated, this meant the rice was poorly seasoned. We spent about $50.00 for five sushi rolls, dumplings, spring rolls, and a kids hibachi shrimp and ended up throwing most of it out. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Don't order online..they won't start cooking your order until you actually come in and pay..ordered at 654..pickup was for 724..showed up at 738..then they started cooking the order. Two other people inside said they did them the same way. Took over 30 additional minutes after I arrived to actually get my food. My husband and I are regular (delivery/take-out) customers at Tokyo Grill. We love the food and when we get it delivered we have always received the food in good timing! I've enjoyed a lot of their sushi and I LOVE the udon noodles. When you use the mobile order you get every 10th order free! This place was GREAT! The wait staff was very accommodating and the food was delicious and fresh. We ordered the Snow Crab Naruto, Veggie Hibachi, Scallion Pancakes, Grizzly Roll, Crispy Volcano Roll, Angel Roll, Spicy Crunchy Shrimp Roll, and kids Shrimp and Chicken Teriyaki....all of it was delicious, but the Snow Crab Naruto was the best!
