Yaya and her staff provided us an excellent experience. The food was great and the restaurant vibe was casual and fun.

OMG!!! so I was visiting Memphis in May for granddaughter's graduation so I ran into a good old…read morefriend and her daughter recommended this breakfast/brunch spot. Knowing my particular taste palette, I was like OK let's see what they have looked on the line and saw the reviews. Very good reviews Check nearby location Check serves chicken and waffles Check. So I thought I'd give it a try. Totally in love with this quaint repurposed house now restaurant extraordinaire. They should have chains all over the world concept is perfect. They even sell libations via bartender, so you're gonna get more than a good brunch. You're gonna have a variety with the kit and caboodle. The Customer Service was top notch, top shelf, from the server to the bartender to the Manager, and order taker, everyone was smiling and friendly and courteous. My friend had been before so she said the catfish was good and I had a taste for fish. We both ordered the catfish basket and I ordered a separate banana's foster waffle on the side line. She had a Coca-Cola drink and I had the mimosa from heaven. When I tell you, everything was perfect it was perfect and I have a very sensitive taste palette. We had so much fish. I had two more pieces to take home to reheat and I didn't reheat because I was visiting and staying at my hotel so I ate a cold and it was still fresh and crunchy, I'm just saying. So this was in the middle of May so the still pretty cool and not humid and we sat on the patio and so learned from the server that you may get served a little quicker on the patio. Because the inside those small and quaint with all the tables was awaiting list of about 20 to 25 minutes. We sat outside to wait but then when we got our menu, she explained we could go ahead and order so we only waited like maybe 10 minutes. This is a perfect choice. I can't wait to come back just to come to this restaurant which is did I say black owned black run black service black excellence. Get your Eggs-Eggxactly Exclusively, Eggcellent!!!!

Wow! This place was incredible!…read more My son and I were in town to visit Graceland and we wanted a nice, little place to grab breakfast before going there. So I Yelped places and found Eggxactly just down the street. I was a little concerned when Google Maps took us into a residential area, but no worries: Eggxactly Breakfast and Deli is located in a former house that has been wonderfully remodeled into a quaint, cute breakfast joint! Go early as there is not a lot of sitting room inside. Having said that, the service was great and the food was AMAZING!! I ordered the Smoked Turkey Omlett Special and found it extraordinary! Whether you're here to see the King or just passing through south Memphis, definitely give this place a try! Smoked turkey omlett special!!

The bartender could not keep up drinks so the waitress tried to talk us out getting cocktails...we waited...and were not correct so we walked out to the bar. In the process of remaking the drinks I ran into the manager, who wanted to know how it was going to which I had to tell how my experience was so far....wasn't good so she bailed out...no apologies or anything. Our waitress was never around to refill water.....water! She got an automatic gratuity so she wasn't attentive to the needs of her customers. We had a party of 4 and they stick us in a booth for really 2 people not 4 so again this place is very out of order and no one but the customers see this. I spent $88 on food that was just as good as any Mexican Restaurant in Southaven. I don't mind paying up for great service and food but you do not get that here! I am posting pics of the food but as you can see the fajitas did not come with pico, tortillas or anything that is customary with fajitas. Did our waitress come check? Did we get anyone to check or bring the rest of the food...nope. All around awful experience and I am going to give 2 stars because the food was alright....that saved them from 1 star.

When I received the bagel it was not toasted. The bagel itself was very good and has potential. I will need to come early and re-evaluate. Holy cream cheese!!! I wanted to like this place. I LOVE…read moregourmet bagels. So I was excited when I found out a bagel place was opening. However, I'm left disappointed after my visit. First off, the place is small. Don't expect to get a table during lunch. We managed to snag one fortunately, but it was dirty. There was all crumbs all over the floors. Not a big deal. There were so many options to choose from and the fact that it was busy and we were first timers, we felt rushed. The coffee was crap. You make your own iced coffee. For the price, I would have rather gone somewhere that does it for me and tastes better. On to our bagels which each consisted of almost a whole block of cream cheese. I mean, I like cream cheese, but this was a bit much! The bagels are also a thick dough too, not my favorite. I ordered the jalapeño cheese bagel. The jalapeños should have been roasted or something. The crunch was not great on it. Also, the more I ate, I realized the cheese was not baked into the bagel. So after eating some the cheese topping slid off. My husband got the Maple Bacon with apple pie cream cheese and he agreed the excessive cream cheese ruined it. One of my sons got the hot Cheeto bagel with plain cream cheese. Half of it tasted like regular Cheetos. The other half was a little more hot Cheetos tasting, but he said it wasn't hot at all and was disappointed. My other son got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch bagel and that was the worst out of all of ours. It was plain as heck. Did not taste like cinnamon and had ZERO crunch to it. Pitiful. Lastly, I have to address the prices. They are pretty ridiculous. You pay $4 for a bagel. Okay... then you pay extra for whatever bagel it is. Why not just charge a price for that bagel and be done with it?? But it doesn't stop there because flavored cream cheese is also extra. I'm surprised they didn't charge to toast it! (Which you have to request it toasted, I thought that was the norm and you request if you didn't want it toasted?) I can't really comment on the service. Someone too our order, someone else called our name when it was ready. Not much else. They weren't rude, but not very welcoming. And I never someone anyone out cleaning tables or helping guests beyond the counter.

The restaurant is described as Latin/Mexican, though we noticed the kitchen staff didn't appear to be Latin or Hispanic, which stood out to us. One thing that surprised us was that chips and salsa are not complimentary. The menu itself is huge--burgers, quesadillas, bowls, fried fish, wings, and more--so it felt more like a mix of different cuisines than a traditional Mexican spot. We did order the chips and salsa, and honestly, that ended up being the best thing we had. For our entrées, I ordered the fried fish and my husband got the BBQ shrimp quesadilla. His quesadilla was extremely runny and messy, and the only flavor that really came through was the BBQ sauce it was heavily covered in. My fried fish portion was generous, but the flavor was just okay. I ended up eating only about two pieces. I also tried the blood orange margarita, which was decent but tasted like it barely had any alcohol in it. Overall, the service was pleasant, but the food and drinks didn't impress us enough to make us want to return.
