We found this place after looking for good BBQ on Yelp. It was quite a bit out of the way as we traveled back to Missouri from Gulf Shores, but it was WELL worth the detour. We tried the 6 rib combo with brisket, deviled eggs, and baked beans. They even suggested we do half the ribs in dry rub and half sauced. I am so thankful they did. The dry ribs were phenomenal. The brisket was incredibly tender and so flavorful. The baked beans were hot and just right. The deviled eggs were slightly underwhelming, the whites seemed maybe a little overcooked and tough. But you could tell the flavor was there. Everyone we came into contact with here were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I just wish we would have had space for dessert! There is some seating inside, but there's not a ton of it. It seems like they probably have quite a bit of take out and catering orders. Once we added a drink the total came to a little under $50. We came here for a late morning lunch. We were on the road and were craving bbq and this was the only place that I was willing to go to that was open before 11AM. This place is huge. Bif parking lot and very spacious inside. Fortunately for us, we were the only ones there so didn't have to wait for other customers food to be prepared before ours. Service was great as well. Our server was very welcoming and friendly. My wife ordered their Smoked Sliced Beef Sandwich. You get about 1/3 lbs of thinly sliced beef and got an option to add coleslaw. This sandwich was very delicious. The meat had a nice smoky flavor and seasoned perfectly. I ordered their special 1/3 Rack of Pork Baby Back Ribs with Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries. The sides were ok. Mac and cheese was standard and the sweet potato fries were a little bland. I ordered my ribs dry and chose to apply my own bbq sauce. They had three different ones and my favorite was the spicy habanero. It had a nice kick to it but not too spicy. But honestly these ribs didn't need any sauce. Easy to park. Clean inside. When we asked the waitress what she recommended she said "I can't say I don't eat this food". Sad no one has trained her. They were out of brisket. Ordered beef ribs. Burnt black to a crisp. Tough and chewy. Oddly the taste of the sauce was great. Side items were good. The cost of three beef ribs was $42. Insane. Will more than likely never go back. After posting this review the vice president of operations reached out as well as A C the store manager. Both were extremely professional in apologizing and asking me to explain what happened at the restaurant. It is rare these days for people and places to do the right thing. We were traveling through the area and were starving. Stopped in here and the staff was so friendly. They answered all of our questions and helped us make our choices. I am please take this opportunity to compliment the closing manager Ms. Keisha McKinley and I'm not for certain if it's spelled Keisha, Kesha or something totally different. She was absolutely amazing with my experience I was attending this past Saturday a retirement celebration for a dear friend of mine and there was a large party I would have to say well over 35 people possibly over 40 people plus the patrons who were coming into the establishment as well as any pickup orders four doordash or personal. Several people from the party I was with got their meals to go, I was the last of them to order my to go meal. Unfortunately my wait had become a tad bit extensive and I was getting a tad bit anxious. Ms. McKinley was very attentive when she saw my agitation because I had not been able to submit my order. She was very calm and was able to answer any questions I had as to why the person had left from the station. Her exclamation was sufficient and she took care of me with the utmost professionalism as she was the MOD. Hats off to Ms McKinley for her extraordinary precision with not just me as a patron but with all of the other patrons before me and after me. I also have to add this is my first time actually eating at The establishment and I was very pleased with my choice of entree and sides which was the large chicken leg quarter macaroni and cheese and greens. I didn't care for the deviled eggs. I have a lot of out of town guests who love barbecue. They often reside with me which is close to Southaven I will ensure that they are aware of this location and to ask for Ms. Keisha McKinley if she's on duty. I thought this place was great and the service was great too. The Barbeque was smoked pulled chicken and pork. It also came with beans that had a bit of beef in them and were slightly sweet. Three Barbeque sauces on the table. One was habanero. One was sweet. I read a lot of reviews saying that service was really good. That was not my experience this time. There were other waitresses who seemed very good but the one I had seemed like she was having a bad day. I didn't get my drink until my food arrived. No big deal but annoying. I got the brisket sandwich. The meat was sliced really thin which left good char bits on the ends. Taste was good. I also got fried pickles. I wasn't overly impressed with these. They were a little greasy. The banana pudding however, was fantastic. Probably one of the best I've had. I'd say if you want quick bbq and don't want to be blown away this fits that bill. We decided to go to One & Only BBQ for my sons birthday dinner. This is his favorite place to eat and one of our go to BBQ places. The place was unusually empty tonight. We were seated and greeted pleasantly by our server. He was very nice and fairly attentive. I ordered the Ribs & One Meat Dinner. This comes with a half rack of ribs and your choice of one other meat. I chose the four chicken drummies. It also comes with two sides and a peice of Texas toast. As my sides I decided on a side salad and turnip greens. The ribs were fall off the bone perfection. The chicken was very good. I received my salad with the meal ( This Is A Huge Issue With Me) I cant imagine, I am the only one that wants their salad before the meal. I never had to ask in the past. These days it seems you must. The place was fairly clean. I think it could have been a little better considering no one was here tonight. The soap was out for the sink outside the bathrooms. With the recent pandemic this should never happen. All in all it was a pleasant meal and everyone was nice. I took one star for getting the salad with my meal, soap disperser being empty, and just the overall cleanliness of the lobby/tables could have been better. I dig that. The food was delicious. I'm from Texas and enjoy brisket, however, One & Only takes a bit different approach with their brisket. And it is spot on. We're talking thinly sliced, non-fatty, flavorful strips of goodness. The twice-baked potato salad is my new favorite. It's a creamy, yummy concoction. The baked beans are awesome too (of course, I didn't try the vegetarian option). Next, Kathleen was our server. She was friendly, smiling and prompt. She answered questions and took good care of us. This is my 1400th review on Yelp. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a hostess and and she gave me a booth which is what I asked for. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for about a couple weeks since I first saw it when I was eating at Olive Garden which is next door. Anyway, I been wanting to try their BBq nachos and that is what I ordered and a coke. It was really good but kinda messy. I couldn't decide whether to use my hands or ask for a fork. However, a fork couldn't really lift up the chips. So, I used my hand . Therefore, when I got ready to leave, I had to wash my hands. The bbq nachos had pork, melted cheese, bbq sauce on it. It was delicious and filling. My waitress took care of me but let me go to talk to some customers. All the while, I needed a refill on my drink. Finally, the manager came out and told her to wait on some customers who just came in. That's when I got her attention to refill my drink with coke. I might decide to one day try their ribs and maybe a couple sides on another day. We will wait and see. They look pretty good here on Yelp. read more

I got the pulled chicken sandwich, Drummies, Tenders, Deviled Eggs, Potato Salad, annd French Fries and it was all unseasoned, bland, dry, and worse than even McDonald's food.The music and the building set up was a redeeming quality. And the service was quick and nice, but I don't think they have a say in how this food tastes, they just follow the bland recipes. Overall, this was a really disappointing restaurant. I had tried the One and Only BBQ location up around Germantown or Cordova, Tennessee (somewhere around there) and honestly I was not overly impressed. I decided to give this location a try and will say that I found it to be pretty good. As I pulled into this location, I found myself liking the front sign. It was made up to look like an old school tattoo and definitely would catch the eye of any passing potential customers. Service was friendly and quick. A minor complaint is that the booths are a little tight for your legs. I kind of had to do a bit of contortionist moves with my legs to get comfortable in the table. My friendly server took my order, which was pulled pork, twice baked potato salad, greens and Texas toast (you can also get a hamburger bun instead). The food arrived and I liberally added their habanero barbecue sauce. The pulled pork and greens were good, the Texas toast was Texas toast, but the twice baked potato salad was pretty amazing. All in all this was a good meal and pricing was not bad. I wiukd definitely recommend this place. But next time I will ask for a table instead of a booth. read more
