Entire amount if shrimp and scallops

My latest exploration of Hibachi dishes in the area took place at this small spot in the Whitaker Square strip center off of Peacehaven - the center is anchored by Harris Teeter and Chick-fil-a. I ordered the Scallops and Jumbo Shrimp Hibachi ($15.49), comes with rice and grilled vegetables, no soup or salad included. The largest part of the dish was the " fried" rice - it was clumpy, not a single grain separated, thus almost certainly was recycled from a previous day or week! There were only 3 scallops, and five shrimp, which would I would not term as jumbo. There was a less than generous amount of vegetables, which lacked texture. Not a good meal, would not return.

It's in a small strip mall next to Harris Teeter.

Is there decent sushi in a strip mall? Really? Surprisingly, yes! I'm admittedly a bit of a sushi snob. Tokyo House I did not disappoint. The ambiance is very basic and it is predominantly a take-out place. The hibachi chicken was decently portioned, reasonable, and fast. The rolls (Spicy Tuna and Happy Roll) were flavorful and well textured. The food was prepared faster than expected which was a bonus. Recommended: Spicy Tuna Roll

At 3:30pm Thursday. Fair amount of foot traffic, take out. Good friendly fast food Japanese. Filling. Good taste and Fillet cooked to match well my preference of Medium Well. Nice feel / texture with my vegetables. Sandy's didn't include vegetables. Mayonnaise based sauce is perfect not over bearing. Very large hot green tea. Made for a chill dine out experience after nearby Doctors - Dermatology appointment. Initially was going to BAGEL STATION but it and BREAKFAST RESTAURANT had closed at 2pm. So happy that TOKOYO HOUSE 1 was open in this beautiful day. While dinning in was able to see CNN reporting on HURRICANE MILTON and Florida. Both Sandy and I have ties to Florida and therefore we are emotionally vested with the situation. Sandy gave me the last bite of her CHEESE STEAK egg roll. She was impressed with it, me not so much. Found it greasy and remaining meat gristly , wish didn't bite it as was plenty happy with my bowl and the positive memory. Anyways would definitely come back to this well run and friendly business. As have done before.

Steak & Shrimp Rice Bowl - via doordash

Doordash only experience! I was stoked to see a new option for doordash on a lazy Sunday, as there weren't any hibachi options previously. I am a hibachi fanatic, but surprisingly I had not previously heard of Tokyo House One. Jokes on me, cause this was bomb! I got the steak and shrimp bowl and it was LOADED UP! Huge portion, steak was super tender, shrimp had great flavor. The rice was great, veggies cooked tender. The white sauce portion was generous and it was really good! I will definitely be going by for an in person experience, but delighted to know this is a doordash option for the days I just want something easy and delicious.

Great food, this place is a hidden g of Winston-Salem. We had the hibachi chicken plate and it was one of the best I have ever had. Definitely a must visit.

The food is very good! I always order sushi and a side order of steak cooked medium rare and scallops.

This is a great place to grab a quick meal. The rice bowels are awesome. I highly recommend it

Nasty sushi. My spicy crab seemed to be filled with guck and no crab. Don't waste your money.

Food is amazing! We tried this place out on a whim and I'm very glad we did, it had become one of our favorite places to order from.

This place is great. Reasonably priced fresh sushi and tasty hibachi. My wife and I like to grab a quick meal from here regularly.

Once you peep their prices on some imported items - such as roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, feta cheese, and olive oil - you'll laugh at the fools paying the regular grocery store prices. The BEST dates!! I grew up on pretty delicious dates my dad used to bulk order from a food cooperative, and I've had a hard time in the past several years finding decent dates - the standard U.S. pitted type are always horribly dry, and most others are too (and, yech, I can't stand those dry poopy pellet looking rolls covered in flour). I've looked all over town - including several other groceries of this genre - and been disappointed, until El Baraka! They don't always have a shipment in, but check in the glass case at the counter for the black box - those are the dates imported from Lebanon, I believe the proprietor said. For the juiciest dates I've ever had (they were literally oozing, and still on the stems!), $4/lb was an ultimate bargain. Lastly, this pesky pescatarian can't tell you much about the fresh meat counter, but the smells are good and it's all halal (that is, in accordance with Muslim law). Additionally, one side of the store has other retail items, like soaps and knick knacks and clothing.

Their prices are not as competitive as they were last year; however, there are NO other places you can go to purchase the quality of meat, olives, sauces, soap, beef bacon, beef pepperoni and Moroccan bread in the Triad area. I will give you an example. I bought an organic chicken and organic chicken wings from Earth Fare. My husband and I were excited. We fried the chicken wings, in Avocado oil, and sat down to eat. We took about (2) bites and spit it out. It tasted horrible. So disappointed, we ran over to El Baraka and bought (3) lbs. of chicken wings. They were stellar!!! We ended up giving away the whole chicken and chicken wings from Earth Fare. I have not bought ANY meat ANYWHERE else since. They also have an abundance of herbs and spices such as, Turmeric, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Cumin etc. By the way...we have never been disappointed with any purchase.
