[[HIGHLIGHT]]Gorgeous place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean and food was great![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No issues with service as I read in many reviews. The attention to detail in the place settings and to the food was impressive! I haven't seen that quality in workmanship in any other restaurant. Would definitely come back if we were staying in Rutland longer.

Very good roll, sushi, and sashimi selection. Many unique pairings of great flavors. Prices are pretty good as well.

We ordered a big order for takeout. An expensive sushi place where the rolls are just okay. The bento box options were soooo confusing. Like why is a lunch option for bento boxes so complicated. The best roll was probably the spicy tuna. We ordered a bunch of different ones. I wished the pink roll had more flavor. Lots of potential here.

This was my first sushi foray in the area.. The staff was super friendly, sat at the small sushi bar at the back of the very clean nicely appointed dining room and started to order. Salmon, Saba, and Hamachi sushi were all very nicely prepared and tasted great... the saba was not as pickled or flavorful as I am used to in L.A. but it was still very nice.... Some good but slightly bland miso soup, Topped it off with a king crab roll which tasted great except for the nori which was very chewy giving the impression the roll had been made beforehand and just got pulled out of the fridge. I get it, we're not in the land of endless world class sushi, for my first foray into small town VT sushi (lolol) I was pleasantly surprised I will definitely be back and would drag along some friends. also very reasonably priced for the quality.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]the decor of this place is super cute[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and they were pretty busy when i went (friday night) so for more popular times a reservation would be appropriate. i ordered the inari (tofu skin sushi), chicken tempura roll, and sweet potato tempura roll. no complaints about the sweet potato and inari, they were both up to par. the chicken tempura roll was lacking flavor. my boyfriend ordered the chicken yakitori and he couldn't finish it because of how dry it was. the staff was nice, but after we got our food we were completely ignored, even when we tried to wave someone down, in favor of larger parties/regulars. they had those little candies though so that partially makes up for it. it was a good experience, but we had heard great things about this place so we were a little disappointed!

Amazing service and food! Went here 2 times this season, and were impressed both times. The food was really good, my family's favorite is the Chicken Katsu because it's juicy and flavorful. Upon sitting, you will get a small bowl of miso soup--perfect after skiing. We ordered Green Tea Ice Cream, it was delicious because it tasted great and the texture was rich like Gelato. Also, the servers were exceptional. We asked if we can have our Angel Sushi (very tasty by the way) with spicy mayo, and they gave us a ton. Waiters were friendly and helpful. I gave Tokyo House 4 stars because everything was great but I thought the Chicken Teriyaki bento weren't as good as the chicken katsu, and their Yakisoba was dry. Nonetheless, I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Vermont.

OMG! One of my top 3 Japanese restaurant! So glad we stopped here for dinner! Amazing friendly service. Food was even better! Loved every bite! Definitely, definitely going back!

Always amazingly fresh! And what a wonderful environment, very friendly staff.

We always come in for the wonderful food and friendly staff when we are in town. The sushi menu is vast and very creative. The decor is relaxing and the atmosphere is very chill.

Excellent and curious staff. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki served with rice and miso soup. Both my waitress and other staff checked in with me regularly and I disagree with the one star review on this dish. It came out on cast iron grilled but definitely not burnt. Could barely finish it portion was filling, and for $13.95! Great option for a non sushi guy. Ambiance is romantic enough for a date.

Still the BEST sushi & service! No longer BYOB as they now have their own beer & wine!

The new and beautiful dining room and sushi counter. Social distancing is easily accomplished between booths here too!

Every Thursday from 5:30pm-8:30pm on the Talta lawn for the Little River Summer Series, an outdoor event featuring Kitsune menu, beer tent, live music, lawn games, fire pits, stream to wade in, and gourmet s'mores by La Shack. Family friendly and even (leashed) dog-friendly event. No tickets or fee to enter! Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm-9pm back in the downstairs lounge space - reservations recommended. For the past winter (Oct2022-Mar2023), Kitsune was located as a pop up on Thu, Fri and Sat at Talta Bluebird with a limited number of tables. Reservations are recommended for the sit down dinner on Thursdays. And your liquor tab will be charged separately - Talta keeps these funds but the tips do go to the Kitsune crew. Fridays and Saturdays are a limited bar menu. There is some take out available.

The food was good, and the hibachi chef was entertaining and professional. We were lucky to get seats by walking in after skiing when reservations were otherwise full. BUT, one extremely rude server ruined our experience. After the chef finished cooking, my drink still had not arrived, but our server was nowhere to be found. We politely asked a tall blond male staff member nearby if he could help us check on it. He immediately yelled at us loudly: "I'M NOT YOUR SERVER! FIND YOUR OWN SERVER!" A family sitting next to us saw this and talked to a manager for us. Our server later came and apologized, but we explained that the issue was not her fault--we were hoping for accountability from the staff member who yelled at us. Unfortunately, we were told that he would likely not apologize. We were offered one complimentary drink, but the situation itself was never properly addressed. Our server herself was polite, and we still left an 18% tip out of respect for her work. I think basic courtesy from all staff should be a minimum standard.

We started with a delightful 'avacado bomb', which was delicious, and the highlight of the meal, but everything else came out in reverse order- I received in order, my secondary sushi order (an extra roll) then my main dinner (sushi regular). I asked if the soup and salad that was supposed to come with my dinner would be coming, and was assured they would be. On the next trip to my table, the salad came, followed a minute later by my appetizer, the bao buns (mediocre at best). I asked again and finally got the overly salty miso soup. My wife ordered bulgolgi bibimbap dolsot- it did not come out in a stone bowl- instead she had a pile of very wet beef, onion, pepper stir fry, with a side of white rice. Not bibimbap. The flavors were ok, but what I'd expect from a takeout Chinese place. Overall, fairly disappointing for the price point.
