The sushi is AMAZING. It's always very fresh and delicious. The owner and staff are always very welcoming. Great place and great atmosphere.

Only three stars? I hate writing these middle of the road reviews. The reason for only three stars is because the service was slow and just not polite. Maybe it was a bad night, but we were only one of three tables and I was just not at all satisfied with our server. She did not fill our glasses, brought the check before we were finished dining, and never checked on us during our meal. Now normally this would make me never want to dine in again, and I probably won't HOWEVER...those rolls though...if I have to order them to go I will. *All on soy paper* The Lafayette-crawfish and avocado deep fried with eel sauce and spicy mayo. This roll is damn good..I've never had a fried sushi roll, but so glad I had this one. It did not disappoint. White Spider-fried soft shell crab, cucumber and avocado topped with snow crab and spicy mayo and eel sauce. Probably my fave since soft shell crabs are my jam. I saved the best for last... Captain Crunch-crabmeat, avocado, tempura shrimp with fresh salmon rolled in flakes and topped with spicy mayo and eel sauce. It truly doesn't get better than the Captain Crunch and I'll be ordering this one over and over again. If you find yourself in Abbeville and want some Cajun sushi get yourself here. read more

Well , I tried this place out because I was feeling Asian food. and let me say this, not only is the food great , but the service is out of this world. I had a server named Natalie and she was on point with our orders , drinks , and deserts. I'd come back just for the customer service here. she made us feel welcomed and a home feeling , and that smile of hers !! read more

We had a wonderful first time here. It's nice to have a sushi place in Abbeville where you won't wait forever for your food. The waitress was extremely helpful and nice. The wait staff and management were very kind. I'm giving 5 stars bc of the service, good food and clean building. My only complaint would be possibly more fish portions for the rolls bc snow crabs and veggies ratio was much more than the fish. But they were still very good. The rice wasnt mushy or dry. We had the: Veggie roll - loaded with veggies Volcano roll Play boy roll - when it came out the plate was on fire . We often pickup from here to go, but have also dined in and enjoy the food and service either way! The sushi is delicious and the house soup is my go to when I am not feeling well or just want something really light. The teriyaki menu items are my fav!!! I have never been disappointed in anything I have eaten and love the friendly faces! read more

This is good for a quick bite at lunch. The waitress was great. She gave suggestions and help me out with some new stuff I've never tried.

Reasonably priced. You can order online to pick up. You can specify your vegetables in your meals. AND the in house service is very nice too. We are always greeted and served drinks in a timely fashion. I recommend the pan fried Gyoza as an appetizer. Spicy Girl Sushi is my favorite, followed closely by the King Roll. I've had their Hibachi, Udon, etc. I honestly haven't eaten something I didn't like there. read more

I agree with Ryan W. The sushi is not fresh. The tuna is low grade. I only go to this restaurant because friends of mine want to go. The "Hibachi" is terrible - way too sweet. The tempura is not a rice batter like it is supposed to be and not prepared correctly either. I only eat the appetizers when I go now. They are not too bad. Nope, I would not go if other people didn't insist on going here for lunch. The prices are also too much for the quality, even on the lunch menu. The last time I went the waitress kept hovering around us and we could not have a decent conversation. THAT is probably the last time I will go. I have also heard nasty things said about people who work there by the employees. The owner is not Japanese nor are the sushi prepares. The owner is pretty sassy herself. read more

Food was ice cold and bitter as all hell send back to warm up, I even put the meat in the managers hand to show it was ice cold and neither the manager nor what passes for a chef could explain why it was that way...probably cooked from frozen and improperly thawed when they just warmed it up....but hey if you go and don't eat your food this crappy restaurant will offer you 25% off! We love this place. The food is good. The atmosphere is unusual, and the owner, while a loud talker, remembers us when we come and is very friendly. The spring rolls are really good and we love all the rolls we have tried. Prices are reasonable. read more

The sushi rolls are OK, not great. The sashimi is OK, not great. The service is very good. The Hibachi is not good at all. Just my opinion, but I have been all over the country eating Japanese food. This is probably as good as you can get in Abbeville. It's fine for lunch and the other people I have gone with seem to think the Hibachi is good. So, try it. read more
