I have gone back and tried the shrimp habachi and was not impressed... not a lot of flavor. I would rather eat sushi and habachi somewhere else. Habachi chefs are entertaining though.

I had a fantastic time at kasai. The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The hibachi experience was so much fun -- the chef was talented, engaging, and made the meal memorable with great flair. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food and a fun dining experience. I'll definitely be back!

Food and service was great! We had sushi this time and it was so delicious! They even had a little flair add. Dry ice and flowers. We felt special:) ** clean restrooms!

I usually love Japanese restaurants. I've tried their stir fry udon, so sweet and salty. Crab salad, they use the cheapest imitation crab and it was just terrible. I couldn't eat it. Spicy oil chicken dumplings were delicious. The one thing I would come back for. Sushi was okay. Nothing to rave about. Service is great. Bartender often checks on me to make sure I had everything I needed.

Foie definitely don't get! Tamake was decent.

I can tell you what not to order :) had the spicy chicken entree. No good, chcicken had very little flavor and sauce was not spicy whatsoever. They should call it slightly sweet bland chicken. The foie gras was absolute worse I've had in a while. The bread is what I imagine biting through styrofoam would be like. It was plated well though. The kids shrimp fried rice was good minus the shrimp. Over cooked and tasted funny. The Takame were ok just an open sushi roll that was fried like a taco. The spicy salmon had least flavor. The poke and eel was good. Edamame was good and hard to mess up. The bento box comes with a lot of foood. The sesame chicken was just eh. So for the most part weird and unexciting. The ambience and service is great but that was it for me. Thoroughly disappointed and didn't even bother trying dessert after that showing.

This was a tasty little starter and came with a dipping sauce that was very good. I ordered Shrimp hibachi Bento box and it came with fried rice and a crunchy roll.

    Do not order any sushi.

Do not try. I had been curious about this place since its opening. My intuition was right. Should have just listened to one of the other reviewers. This is just a place to be seen. Fancy-looking is it. Sushi is HORRIBLE. Service is nothing special. Also OVERPRICED. You know that feeling when you want your money back? Yeah.

Good service. Good food. Had a party of 17 and they were very attentive with the refills. Didn't mess up anyone's orders.

Everything was amazing including the service. The sushi was very fresh and plated beautifully.

We had chicken and sausage gumbo, Pepper Jack boudin balls, bam bam gator bites and the blackened chicken pasta. The waiter this time was better than the waitress we had last time. He was very attentive and made sure we never had to ask for refills. The appetizers came out fairly normal time-wise I would say. The main portion took a little bit longer than what you're used to at a franchise restaurant but here that's perfectly fine as it's worth the couple extra minutes. The gumbo is perfect(I love when gumbo is not over complicated) I like to add a lil hot sauce to it and it's delicious... only thing is, while they already give generous portions... the cup and the bowl looked exactly the same except I think in the bowl they give you one extra scoop of rice... which would be just fine if it wasn't like $6 more. But still delicious nonetheless. The bam bam gator bites were really good and I highly recommend them. If you like bam bam shrimp you'll love these. The pepper jack boudin balls were good, nothing special but they were definitely worth the try. My co-worker had the blackened chicken pasta and when I asked him how it was he said "dude, it's really good!" lol. The building is pretty unique and they have some outside seating with a massive beautiful tree that over looks the restaurant and takes claim to some of the asphalt in the parking lot lol. But it's a great spot for birthdays, good lunch menu deals, casual date night or if you wanna blow some steam off, they have a little bar in the restaurant as well. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend. I'm from East Texas, so I'm no Cajun/Louisianan but they truly got some good grub here. I'll definitely be coming back several more times when I get the chances. I will warn you, I believe the food is freshly made so when it gets to the table, give it some time to cool off because it comes out HOT.

The grilled octopus was the best I've ever had. It was incredibly tender with a perfect char, and the sauce had an amazing balance of rich umami flavor and acidity. Surprisingly, one of the highlights of the meal was the charred green onion. I never expected an onion to stand out, but it was packed with smoky, sweet flavor. The pork porterhouse was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. My only minor critique was that the mint on the zucchini was a little stronger than my personal preference. Overall, it's not quite a 5-star experience for me because a few menu items don't quite justify their price. Even so, the attention to detail in both the food and service really stood out. Vestal is a beautiful restaurant, and it's one we'll happily return to whenever we're in the Lafayette area.

The pork chop was cooked perfectly. It was juicy, incredibly tender, and honestly tender enough to cut with a fork. It had a great char from the grill that added so much flavor, and the pickled peppers on top cut through the richness of the pork perfectly. The dirty rice underneath reminded me of my mom's rice dressing and soaked up all the juices from the chop. It was one of the best pork chop dishes I've had. My wife ordered the smoke fried chicken, and it was also excellent. The crust was crispy while the chicken stayed juicy and flavorful. The sweet potato biscuits were light and delicious, and the pepper honey tied everything together nicely. For my taste, it leaned just a little on the sweet side, but it was still a very enjoyable dish. My daughter ordered the Social Cheeseburger with just meat and cheese. She loved it, and I was impressed too. Even with such a simple order, the burger was juicy, well seasoned, and served on a fantastic bun. She and my wife both could not stop talking about the hand cut fries. They were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and some of the best fries we've had in a while. From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. We left very impressed and will definitely make a point to stop here whenever we are in the Lafayette area.

As far as main dishes go we have tried the following: All Hail Caesar (Flatbread) Spicy Chicken Sandwich Smoke Fried Chicken-N-Biscuits Social Cheeseburger The Mac n Cheese is a must get as a side in my opinion. One of the first times we visited they had carrot cake as a dessert, we still talk about that carrot cake today. If you are a sweet tea lover this place has a twist which I love. Their sweet contains brown sugar and mint, get it, try it, it's delicious.

I couldn't find the menu on their website. However, when I Google search Park Bistro Brunch Menu it brought me to their site and a brunch menu appeared. When we visited for dinner we got the Crispy Shrimp, Chicken Nuggets, Nashville Hot Shrimp Burger and Potato Gnocchi w/Bolognese. Crispy Shrimp - 9.0 Very good, would definitely suggest trying an order. Has to be their top or one of their top seller. Chicken Nuggets - 8.7 I do not currently see them listed on their Dinner or Friday Lunch menu. They were definitely worth ordering. It was fun having a homemade chicken nugget at a nice restaurant. Hot Shrimp Burger - 9.2 Very, very good. The aioli and pickles are so good with the shrimp and spice. Would definitely get again however, I plan on trying a new dish next time. Potato Gnocchi w/Bolognese - 9.1 This is what my Wife ordered and she said it was very yummy. Which, I tried some and she was right! If we went back it would be hard for her to stray away from ordering this. For our brunch visit we had Cheddar Biscuits, Crispy Shrimp, Chicken & Waffles, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Whipped Ricotta Toast. Crispy Shrimp - See Above Chicken & Waffles - 8.5 They were good, the chicken was juicy and had good flavor. Don't know if we would order again. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes - 9.1 Aside from the shrimp, it was the best thing we ordered. The pancakes were fluffy and all of the flavors of the contributing aspects of the dish were delicious. The pancakes were accompanied by Blueberry Compote, Maple Mascarpone and Candied Pecans. Whipped Ricotta Toast - 8.6 All of the components of this dish played well together.
