Our host was very friendly and engaging, and everyone not only at our table but all around enjoyed the interactive experience from the cooking of the eggs to the rice. I usually love Japanese restaurants. I've tried their stir fry udon, so sweet and salty. Crab salad, they use the cheapest imitation crab and it was just terrible. I couldn't eat it. Spicy oil chicken dumplings were delicious. The one thing I would come back for. Sushi was okay. Nothing to rave about. Service is great. I can tell you what not to order :) had the spicy chicken entree. No good, chcicken had very little flavor and sauce was not spicy whatsoever. They should call it slightly sweet bland chicken. The foie gras was absolute worse I've had in a while. The bread is what I imagine biting through styrofoam would be like. It was plated well though. The kids shrimp fried rice was good minus the shrimp. Over cooked and tasted funny. The Takame were ok just an open sushi roll that was fried like a taco. The spicy salmon had least flavor. The poke and eel was good. Edamame was good and hard to mess up. The bento box comes with a lot of foood. The sesame chicken was just eh. So for the most part weird and unexciting. It seemed like they put some kind of sweet sauce on it in addition to soy sauce That covered up every other taste. The mixed vegetables were OK. I would prefer the broccoli cooked a little bit more. The scallops were good. I asked for a medium rare filet mignon steak. When he served it to us, I cut one open. It was rare, rare rare. Too rare for me to eat. I asked him to do some more and put it back on the grill, covered it with more butter and give it back to me. I cut it open unfortunately it was still too rare to my taste. He of course, took it back one more time, and it went straight to medium, and even said it out loud That I must like medium steak. Still there was not much seasoning on it. We came here to eat with the family and we have a couple of little kids. It was raining outside. We asked our server after being in there for 20 minutes. Could they turn the air down because it was super cold with us being wet from the rain outside? After we received our food, the air never did get turned off. It was so cold we couldn't even eat. I asked the server. I said they can't turn the air off. She said they said no management. So I completely asked our server to bring our check that I was done, that it was too cold for us to be in there and eat. we never did even eat our food They brought our check. I told the server that I'm gonna make a review. Then The management came over and said that she did turn the air off, but the air never did stop blowing. Don't waste your time coming here. My fiancé and I came to try the place out after church last Sunday. As soon as we entered we saw one of our longtime friends waiting tables and decided to request her. The host had informed us that she had just sat her twice, but would give her last table away to accommodate us. Shortly after, a lady that was dressed as a server came up to the host stand and was being so rude to the host and servers standing there. She was shooing them away upon them telling her that we had requested Morgan. And even said out loud with an attitude: " well they can't sit with her Morgan is busy, when she in fact could handle another table. We were so DISGUSTED with her behavior that we opted to sit at the bar instead. This is not the impression you want guests to have AT THE DOOR. As we sat at the bar and there was ONLY ONE BARTENDER AT PEAK HOURS ON A SUNDAY. As a GM of a restaurant, I couldn't fathom why they'd only have one. The food and drinks were good. My only complaint about the food is that my fiancé's food came out 10min after mine. Also they need to use a POS system that is user friendly because it didn't seem like the staff was knowledgeable about how to use it. We tried Kasai within a few days of the opening. The atmosphere was great, it felt very open and clean. For appetizers, Gyoza and Wagyu Toban Yaki, which was a nice unique option. For entrées, the chicken and steak hibachi rocked my boyfriend's world, and the Seaside roll was one of my all-time favorites. We'll be back! read more

Before I say the negative, the positive is that the service was amazing. Jakob did a phenomenal job serving my boyfriend and I and was so patient with me when I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat. Now, the negative. The food just wasn't that great. Appearance was cute, but the food itself wasn't the best. I'm big on texture and the Lo main just didn't satisfy me. We arrived as a trio and asked for a table for three, I made a joke while waiting to be sat that "I wish we could sit on the hibachi side without getting hibachi, it's so cold on the other side." An employee near the host stand (I'm not sure of their position) said, we could. I clarified because that didn't sound right, but they said we could, so we followed a hostess to a hibachi table and sat. We began to place our order and when the first member of my party ordered non-hibachi items and the server that was present for the whole conversation prior says, "Wait, are any of you getting hibachi?" I told her no and she looked at me agitated and acted like I was stupid and she told me that we would have to move since we weren't getting hibachi. We were so confused and my friend tried to clear it up and the server told us that we misunderstood and moved us to the sushi bar where we waited to be acknowledged. We just wanted to leave, but didn't want to walk out on our tab for our three fountain drinks, we tried to get multiple peoples attention to close our check and it took ten minutes and three different people to get us out of there for some reason? I'm not upset at all that I cannot sit on the hibachi side without ordering hibachi, that makes complete sense. But to say that we could and then act like we were stupid and move us was so unnecessary, disrespectful, and unprofessional. read more
