This was my very first time getting a massage and it was very pleasant. It wasn't an establishment with tons of workers. The guy at the front desk was also the massage therapist(which is not a bad thing, he was very kind and respectful!!!) The atmosphere was very calming as they could dim the lights and there was faint music playing. My mom had gotten a certificate for this place by one of her customers and didn't have time to get a massage so she gave it to me. I had completely forgotten about it until the day it was about to expire so I had to make an appointment the same day it was going to expire but they were very nice about it and were able to squeeze me in and did not make any fuss about it (which I appreciate because I totally get how annoying that can be). When I got there the guy was very nice and remembered my appointment. The place was very clean, which I definitely appreciate in the current climate, and it smelled like fresh laundry. This is a brand new massage salon in Davie. It has only been open for 2 months, and I was not aware they were in town until I got a promotional flyer in the mail. They have a special going on where you get a one-hour massage for $49.95, so I decided to try it. It did not disappoint. They offer a variety of styles, they are flexible enough, so you experience more than one in your session. I had a Swedish with some Shiatsu, and it was great. The therapist was very knowledgeable and friendly. The place has simple decoration, but it is comfortable and quiet. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will be coming back. read more

I took my god sister for her first massage for her 20th birthday. It was not scheduled so I called to see if we could go as walk-ins. The call was professional and patient. He told me to come in a hour and we both would be seen. We went and as soon as my masseuse started I knew this would be a great massage. She did a great job, perfected the pressure I wanted and was great with timing. My god sister had a great time, she joked with her masseuse and felt very comfortable with her. I do not like talking in my massage session and the masseuse seemed catch on to that early and for introduction questions, reminded silent (expect to check-in) through out the massage. Looked this place up on here and read the reviews so I felt that it will hold up to everyone standards as stated but he surely did not. I got 60 minutes massage followed by a 30 foot massage. As I go to check out the lady points to the price. I gave her my card and she was saying tip tip tip. I said no I have cash. Paid my balance an I gave her all the cash in my bag. Then she told me oh no it's 20% tip? I ask her to show me when it say 20% tip? She just looked at me. I didn't use a Groupon or any of their specials I seen on here. So why must I pay 20% tip? She said ok next time. I also didn't get a little stamp card which is ok because it will not be a next time. A tip is something that should be appreciated not forced to give. The place was clean, private and professional. Staff was skilled, spoke English, and adjusted to whatever requests I made. Hubby gave them a try as well and neither of us had any complaints. 60-90 minutes a week would keep most of us pretty happy, reduce stress, and promote wellness - as well as lymphatic drainage. read more

Worse massage we ever had. First my appointment was pushed back last minute and then we got the wrong massage other than what was booked. The majority of the massage was done with their hands on the towel instead of hand to skin. Then they tried to charge me more for their mistake. My husband and I went here first time and upon arriving to our appointment we called. They told us $50 for our first time. He ended up charging us $135. When I asked him about it he wasn't able to explain. I'm not one to complain about price but I also don't like being told one thing and end up being charge differently. They need to improve their customer service. After searching for a much needed massage on Groupon. I found the best deal and decided to call and see how the customer service was and if they had openings today. They answered the phone with courteous and answered my questions quickly. I made an appointment for the end of my work day. As I walked in the front entrance it was clean and had a peaceful atmosphere. The girl at the front desk found my nsme quickly and I was tsken back right away. Diana was very nice and powerful on my deep tissue table massage for one hour. I haven't felt so relaxed in ions. At the end I recieved a rewards card to visit a certain amount of times to get 1 free visit and a bottled water. I like companies that give rewards makes me want to come back. I would like to see them put some candles lit or incense in the atmosphere it would probably be more relaxing. read more

My chiropractor recommended a chair neck massage here. Kevin did such a good job, I immediately booked a full body massage. Julia was amazing with the massage, so I just booked a reflexology appointment for next week. The space is very clean and relaxing, and the staff is courteous and professional. To be honest, I was skeptical because of the name, but I am really thankful I gave it a try. They do take walk-ins, which I did for the 20 minute chair massage, and it was super convenient. I've been here a total of 4 times. The first 3 visits were excellent. My usual masseuse is Ruby and she's excellent. This time around was so disappointing that I'm sad to say that unless management contacts me to fix the error I may not be returning. My husband and I went in for a 1 hour deep tissue massage with 2 female masseuses. To begin with my regular masseuse (Ruby) was not there. 10 minutes into the massage my masseuse asked if I wouldn't mind having a male masseuse. When I asked why, she responded that she had something else to do. I agreed as long as it was the same massage, she assured me that he was just as good. He worked on my back for the remainder of the time, barely worked on my arms and only worked on my feet. Never worked on my legs or had me turn over. When I asked for a reason he said because he is male and I am female. No apology and I paid full price. Afterward I found out that my husband had the same situation. His female masseuse asked if he wouldn't mind switching out for a male masseuse. He told her he would in fact mind, so she stayed but would not work on his legs and barely worked on his chest. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because the 3 previous visits have been outstanding and the back massage was great. read more

I was actually surprised at how well the deep tissue massage went. My lower back has given me problems since I started playing sports in high school almost 20 years ago, and have been to physical therapy which gave me mild relief at best. I've also been to many massage therapies around the country while traveling for work and hockey and have always been disappointed, but I can't say anything negative about the masseuse at Tokyo Massage. This place is next to a yoga studio that I go to so I decided to just drop by and see what services they had to offer. Kevin at the front desk was so nice and helpful. They accommodated me right away. I did the 30 min table massage with Diana and asked for a mix of trigger point therapy and shiatsu. I'm used to deep tissue, the use of thumbs and elbows etc...so if that's not your cup of tea this massage might not be for you. It blew my mind!! She did an amazing job! Most therapist don't even know trigger point therapy. She said she learned from her grandmother in the Philippines. This place was legit! They even have bars up top so they can walk on your back. Don't know how any of the other therapists are but I'm definitely coming back to see Diana. All for 40 bucks!!!! read more

Bad experience. I had a reservation for Valentine's Day with my husband. When we arrived for our appt on time actually 10 min early they told us that the people that were there before us just paid for an extra hour. So I asked ok then our appt was moved to 2 instead of one? No he was bumping us all the way till 4. Really? I had a late lunch reservation & couldn't stay. The receptionist was no help. There was nothing he could do for us. I had such a great day planned for my husband & it was very disappointing that we were just bumped off. I won't go back or recommend them to anyone. I have been there twice the chair massage was great. The foot massage was just OK. Was in a private room which was great but cloth couches that didn't adjust right.
