I really enjoyed the food, it was fresh and flavorful. The amount of sauce was a perfect amount, not too much that it'll overpower the taste if the fresh salmon. I decided to order from here since I was at Crayola Experience and this restaurant was pretty close. My wife and I wanted something that was good quality and filling. This hit the spot for that, however, the wait time was so long! I ordered online enrollment at 515pm and I got there at 535pm. There was only 1 customer waiting there for pick up. There was no dine-in customer at the time. I waited until 540pm and said I'll come back in a few minutes. I came back eventually at 600pm and one of my two bowls were being made. I finally got my 2 bowls at 605pm, that's a 50 minute wait time from the time of submitting the order online. Perhaps it's me wanting everything fast pace, but I don't think 50 minutes is acceptable for take out. Normally, take out takes about 15 to 20 minutes for cooked items! This was a pokebowl where all the ingredients were cold (except the rice). Would I return? Perhaps one day, but if I do, I will know to order 50 minutes in advance. read more

This place is so cutesy (you can tell they put a lot of care in creating the handmade aesthetic, super welcoming) and the people running the shop were so kind and generous. All of the sushi we had was so fresh and delicious but you have to get the volcano salad. Its one of my top 5 things I've ever had to eat. read more

Ordered takeout and though not the best sushi I've had, it takes the cake for best sushi I've tried thus far in the Lehigh Area. It's also reasonably priced and not anymore than the other sushi locations. To note, all the rolls had 6 pieces but they are sliced thicker so I could see 8 pieces if sliced thinner. The rice was well prepared, and the fish tasted fresh. Spicy salmon and spicy tuna roll - both are mixed in with little green onion pieces and both have a little crunch pieces placed on top; both were very enjoyable Salmon roll - contains a nice chunk of raw salmon inside Real crab roll - as described, real crab with the salty taste, fresh cucumber and avocado as well Seating wise, it's a small place. I got a chance to briefly speak with the chef and he seems cool. Would like to see how their boba is. Would also like to try some of their other rolls as well. A group of my ladies walking group came in to Tokyo sushi for lunch today and we were so taken by how kind and friendly the owner/chef was! And how important to him it was that we had a nice time! Our food was quite good. I particularly loved the Avacado and Mango salad and the sweet potato sushi roll. This is a BYOB but we were walking so clearly brought no alcohol. A cute little downtown Easton restaurant, not even a block from the Crayola Experience where the options were very limited and extremely pricy. We were able to get our hands stamped to leave Crayola for lunch before returning for more playing. We had two kids under 5 with us (a young toddler and a preschooler), and the owner was so worried that they wouldn't get enough to eat or wouldn't like sushi that they comped us two giant slices of bread - it was such a kind and earnest gesture! Little did he know, joke's on us, my picky preschooler happens to love raw salmon (RIP my food budget) in addition to bread, and my toddler will try literally anything - she thoroughly enjoyed the seaweed salad and the actual sushi as well. Fortunately we planned for this when ordering and got plenty to share. With the lunch specials it was a reasonable price. We didn't order anything extravagant but found the basics to be solid here. But most importantly, we really did appreciate them going the extra mile in trying to be family-friendly. read more

Staff Service: 5 stars Ambience: 4.5 stars Taste: 4 stars Price: 4 stars Speed: 4 stars The woman who greeted me was quite nice and told me I could sit wherever I'd like, as there was no one else seated (I went an hour before closing). She understood the menu well and answered the questions I had about the differences between some items. After taking and serving my order, she was extremely attentive, constantly making sure I had enough water, napkins, etc. (maybe a little too much but that's good hospitality for you) and rather than going on her phone in the back until I was done, she constantly had her head up to make sure she sees me if I were to beckon her over. The man making the sushi in front of the bar top was also nice but only talked if you sat there which was good because I went out to eat by myself for the first time just to relax and have some quiet. The room is somewhat small which you can expect from any downtown Easton restaurant that isn't meant for large gatherings but they don't try to squeeze in tables which makes the room comfortable. They have nice designs on the ceilings and walls, and the bar top is quite an addition I've never seen for a small eatery like that. I ordered the Miso Soup which is too cheap not to try, but it could have been hotter for sure. My assumption is they didn't bother heating it up more because I was a single patron in the whole restaurant, but perhaps that's just their choice. The Volcano Salad was SO good and I was impressed at the amount of avocado slices they included granted most places are stingy with this high price item. Lastly, I ordered the Spicy Shrimp, A1, and Mango Rolls (yes three, I love sushi) which were outstanding. The Spicy Shrimp is a personal favorite that always satisfies my liking for a solid taste and crunch, while the A1 was a venture out of my comfort zone that my taste buds found immaculate. The sauce was perfect, it didn't fall apart like most other sushi places, and most importantly to me, the crunchy stuff they use was licked off the plate. Before I could go, I had to listen to my friend who recommended this place and specifically the mango roll and it was a favorite which truly shocked me considering my doubt for combining mango with shrimp and avocado. I ended up taking the mango roll to-go because it was about time for them to close up for the night, and even then, the employee insisted on me staying to finish everything but I felt too bad having worked in a restaurant where people too often stay past the closing hour. I'm not sure about the price comparison because I don't go out to eat Sushi often, but I can definitely say I ate for two, therefore my meal would equate to $20 a person including tip. On par with the competition? I don't know and for this experience, I don't care. The speed of the Miso Soup was practically instant, as it is already made and just kept hot. For the sushi, as mentioned, I don't eat it often so I cannot compare the time it took to others; however, I would approximate about 7 minutes per roll but I was also by myself and not passing time with conversation so perhaps it was shorter. Overall, a great experience to sit down and enjoy some time alone while filling up on a foreign food not many of us can make at home on a whim. I can't wait to go back (once I'm making enough money to pay for the family that apparently lives in my stomach)! Heads up, at night I missed the place because it doesn't quite stand out with a bright sign, but I found it after only a couple minutes given I was responsible for the driving and looking part. After moving back from LA a few months ago my wife and I have been struggling to find a good sushi place. We've tried Sogo, DM, and Jasmine, all of which were disappointing compared to the quality we're used to. Today we tried Tokyo sushi and ordered lunch roll specials. We were expecting the same crappy dime sized rolls we've gotten from the other places that all taste the same. We were so wrong...Not only were the rolls full, but they were tasty and quality! Warm atmosphere and killer 90s playlist. I was right at home in a heartbeat. This little hole in the wall has become a go to date night stop for me and my boyfriend. The sushi is good quality, the staff is attentive, and the price is right. We got the crab salad as an appetizer, a bowl of edamame, two Alaskan Rolls (salmon and avocado), an Avocado roll, and a Philly roll which was more than enough to share between two people. The best part about these rolls is that there were more fish in them than any of the other ingredients. I find that a lot of sushi places short change you in the fish department but Tokyo Sushi did not disappoint! We also had the Mango Roll which is one of their specialty rolls that can be found handwritten behind the sushi bar. These boards are very easy to miss and have a good amount of rolls listed. The Mango Roll is shrimp tempura, avocado, and cucumber on the inside topped in mango and chef's special sauce. It was delicious! It the best roll I've ever had with mango incorporated in it. The mango was ripe and sweet and there was a good balance between the creamy flavor of avocado and the saltiness of the tempura and the sweet of the mango. I will definitely be getting it again. We ended the night with mochi. They were presented still in the individually wrapped bags which I understand for cleanliness reasons why they would do so but it didn't look as appetizing in a plastic bag.
