She's a light eater so our server, Vanessa not only provided a takeout container but brought extra sauce. I had a yellowtail and scallion roll, which was fresh and delicious. I also had the 19-piece sashimi platter with miso (a salad is available as a substitute). The fish was fresh, the cuts were generous, and the chef added wonderful touches of roe. This really hit the spot and a lower than expected price. Rice was never offered and I appreciated that very much. For dessert, we split the strawberry mochi and a small tiramisu. Both were great. Total disappointment. My Seafood Delight -- almost $30 -- was swapped for a container of broccoli without a word. Brown rice? Only on top. Underneath was plain white rice. That's intentional deception, not an accident. They didn't tell me they couldn't make my order or offer a replacement. The chicken dinner was also bland according to the person with me. I used to like this place occasionally, but after this stunt, I'm done. If they're willing to hide substitutions, it makes you wonder what else they're doing that customers never see. read more

A step above the typical strip mall food place, all with the same menus and food that is ok but never great. The menu hear is a nice mix from sushi, to tai, to stereotypical American Chinese food. We've both eaten in (casual and clean) and taken out, and in all cases the service is quick and friendly. As expected with this type of food, lots of gluten-free options but be sure to ask as they are in tune and will advise if it is hiding in something you wouldn't expect it needing to be in. Easton Asian Bistro is a Chinese/Hibachi/Sushi restaurant located between a First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union and Supercuts. Interior is small with only a handful of booths and tables. Ordered two basic rolls, an Eel Avocado and Philadelphia, along with one of their signature rolls, a Las Vegas. Both the Eel Avocado and Philadelphia were perfect and very fresh. The Las Vegas roll was ok, but didn't stand out. I also tried some of the Green Tea Mochi, which was different than I expected, but ok. Service was reasonably good and the prices were reasonable. I give high praise to this establishment. I have not eaten on-site, just to-go. They are always friendly. I even received a text when my order was ready for pick-up. The food is very good, also. We usually splurge on an appetizer or two. Some sushi roles (cooked and raw). The quality is always there, haven't had a bad experience. This is our place of choice when it comes to Asian cuisine to-go. We live in Bethlehem down the street from One Third and still pick this establishment. I was curious about this new spot, so I ordered lunch specials to try some stuff out. I got the gyoza appetizer, it was good but didn't care for the dipping sauce. I got shrimp pad Thai, it was basically just noodles and shrimp, the shrimp was good but there was barely any veggies. Also tried the chicken and broccoli. There was no brown sauce in the dish so it tasted pretty plain. The chicken and the broccoli were good but definitely needs some better sauce. I also ordered it with fried rice. The rice was more like Jasmine white rice with a little veggies in it. It didn't taste like fried rice at all. I don't know I wanted to like this place but I didn't care for anything I got so far. read more

I really Want To Heart Easton Bistro this has been my second Time ordering (Monday 6/26/18 1st sorry no pictures). Both times were long days when I still had evenings of work and nothing in my fridge. Here are the positives they're reasonably priced for portion size (at least comparable to Philly) Wide variety of menu items..though I've found they don't do everything that well. Delivery is fairly timely and so far both my orders have been correct and drivers pleasant. Also they were able to provide change as I only had $40 for my $23.XX order. The Pepper Tuna Tataki is probably the best I've had in the Valley since my long gone college days at the Dancing Fish. Aside from that here's where I've been spoiled for 12 years having an ample selection of delivery options. I Love the creativity of the sashimi diced Tuna, Salmon Roe and White Tuna with a thinly fanned avocado spread around mix with "special sauce". However when the sashimi is warm and the avocado isn't ripe it creates a bitter warm taste instead of buttery cool and flavorful. You also need to specify when ordering to ask for 2 sets of chopsticks as I ordered for my boyfriend and I the first time but they didn't feel it was enough food for 2. And ask for soy sauce. I remembered that this time last time I didn't know but didn't ask for wasabi this time so we didn't get any. It's always a given whenever I've ordered Anywhere. Last Time I ordered the Lemon Basil Thai Chicken as well. I know typically that's not a spicy item but the description stated it would have heat. While it was plentiful with veggies it was bland in a clear soupy broth without any flavor. I ordered that meal at 7ish so I was able to utilize our spices to make it tasty but it was a complete let down for Thai Food. We had a nice dinner here. The space is clean and modern. They appear to do a brisk take out business. They have an extensive sushi menu and some other specialities including Thai dishes. You can bring your own alcohol which cuts down on the price. Entrees are around $15 pp. we had sushi. The Out of Control Roll was Amazing. Fresh ripe mango, salmon and avacado with a light wasabi sauce-a nice flavor combo. Sadly the Crunchy spicy tuna was neither crunchy or spicy and was rather bland. We had salmon avacado and tuna avacado and they were fine-nothing special. Lots more to try here for sure and I am sure I will come back. read more

I definitely feel the need to review this establishment after reading some of the negative comments. Any restaurant can obviously have an off night. That being said, my family has been coming here for years. In all honesty the first time I came (several years ago) I was disappointed. I didn't come back for a while. But then various friends whose opinion on food I value told me to come again. That was a few years back. Now we come here all the time. In fact we are putting in a togo order tonight. I haven't tried everything. But I love their sushi. My husband loves their General Tao chicken. But it's more than that. It is spotless clean. The people (are they the owners?) are so nice and accommodating. That's not all we have had here, those are just our favorites. Everything is good. I gave four stars only because it's not the best I've ever had. But it sure is good! I hate that someone said they had a bug in their food. If that is the case it is really surprising. They tried to convince me that it was not a bug, and just a sesame seed. Sesame seeds do not have legs or wings, but they offered to make me a new one so I didn't want to argue about it. Waited for it, and when it was done the worker gave it to me and pointed out a sesame seed to make sure I knew it wasn't a bug which was rather demeaning. Came for lunch around noon on a Sunday, only ones seated at the time. Overall, 3/5. A cute place with pretty decent service, good hot food, and mediocre sushi for the price. Food: 3/5 Shrimp Dumplings were O.K. , but they tasted a bit fishy, like the shrimp used had gone slightly off, or they are using fish paste to try and stretch out the shrimp. The cabbage underneath the dumplings in the steamer was old, black and dried out along the edges. The dipping sauce was pretty good, but not the best I have had. Chicken Egg Roll was very good, crispy and not greasy at all. Lots of meat inside, actually maybe too much meat, a bit more cabbage in the filling would have lent some more moisture. The duck sauce is the typical chinese food pre-made sauce, not home made. Yellowtail Scallion Roll was pretty mediocre. The fish itself was of average quality, and was rolled pretty well. The real letdown here is that the rice they are using is not the right kind and is under-seasoned. They are using a longer grain rice, perhaps it is even the same rice that they are serving as sides to their hot food. This type of rice does not make for good sushi, it is dry and starchy. Not the best. Chicken & Broccoli was pretty good. We liked the sauce and the broccoli was perfectly cooked. Again though, the rice on the side was plain bad. Whatever kind of rice they are using is either poor quality or they are not cooking it correctly. Starchy and gummy. Singapore Mei Fun was very good. Generous portions of perfectly cooked shrimp, and we liked the seasoning on the beef. Good amount of vegetables as well. Good spice level. No complaints here, A+ Mei Fun. Price: 2/5 The sushi is overpriced for the quality compared to other restaurants in the immediate area, plain and simple. The hot food prices are a bit higher than a typical chinese food joint, but I believe that the increase in quality is worth it in this case. The shrimp dumplings though, were overpriced for the quality. $6.75 for 6 dumplings, I expect the filling to taste clean and be composed almost entirely of shrimp. Atmosphere: 4/5 Clean and simple decor, warm colors, and different seating options for your mood. The smaller space makes it feel more cozy and intimate. Nothing to knock your socks off, but it was nice. Service: 4/5 Whats to say? The waitress was friendly and checked on us often (although we were also the only ones seated so I can not speak for the service when it is busy). I had the Singapore Special Mai Fun at dinner. Service was fast, the plate arrived with hot food. Flavors and textures were fine. A bit light on the curry, but it still was fresh and delicious. Indoor dining in winter was drafty. They do plenty of takeout and the cold air sweeps in. Not their fault but more of the strip mall owner or kitchen exhaust fans. Disappointed! Several people have told me that this place was good since moving to the area in the last 6months. I placed an order for delivery through grubhub for my family of four. It was delivered quick and most of it was hot. My ordered consisted of the following chicken lo mein, which was tasteless. Decent sized portion, just didn't taste like anything. Sweet and Sour chicken, which was really good and crispy. Filet Mignon hibachi, which was TERRIBLE.....the chef had steamed instead of searing the filet, so it was that weird gray color. The container had an excess of a sweet dark brown liquid. Veggies were cooked right. It didn't come with a side of yum yum sauce or hibachi steak sauce. I enjoyed the ginger dressing :) My Chinese order also arrived early, correct, and fresh. The white rice melted in my mouth, I tried the vegetable fried rice and chicken lo mein as well, both had good flavor. The coconut chicken had tons of flavor and was very rich. Today my wife and I visited the establishment for the first time for lunch. The restaurant was clean and the waitress was professional and competent. The menu is expansive. I ordered hot and sour soup and Hunan beef. My wife ordered sesame chicken. The hot and sour soup was excellent but slightly more spicy for my taste. (The waitress said that the next time I ordered the soup, tell her to tone the soup down a bit.). The Hunan beef was excellent with the beef and vegetables fresh and plentiful.
