He was represented by Marc Marsan. Marc came by the unit once to take a look at the unit for something when my lease was nearing renewal. I liked the unit, didn't love it, and was considering moving. I asked Marc if he had any units he'd recommend. Marc recommended that I stay in my current unit, because he thought I was getting a great deal. Think about that for a second, here's a guy, I've never paid before (he was my landlord's agent, I used someone else as my tenant agent), who owes me NOTHING, with an opportunity to make a fee from TWO transactions, both representing me as a tenant's agent AND getting paid to fill the unit I would have vacated representing my landlord, and he TURNED IT DOWN to give me his honest advice. I was frankly blown away by it all. I've since moved out of Beacon Hill, but I wish I had used Marc Marsan to start out with. The guy is just an honest stand up dude, which is IMO pretty rare in the real estate industry. I have forwarded all incoming new Bostonians to Marc ever since and never heard a bad review. Highly recommend.

The suites have doorbells and all of the rooms are nicely furnished very contemporary but still has a nice elegant feel because of the walls and doors which are maple wood - I think, I don't remember but the Ritz is very nice indeed. The appetizers were really good I tried caviar for the first time it was ok. Our server for the evening was extremely sexy and chocolate - his name is Jean Michel. Overall I enjoyed my visit to the Ritz and I especially enjoyed my parting gift - a nice big pomegrante and cranberry scented candle. If you really want to feel like you are home away from home than The Ritz Residence are for you. Oh yeah the location is great too. Near the Opera House and shopping.

I knew instantly I had mad the right choice, especially after dealing with so many "less than professional" real estate people, he was a refreshing change. FRED showed me several places over a two day period, there were so many great choices, my head was spinning, this was strange because 99% of the other furnished rental places I had looked into, had few and most were dumps. This location is right in the center of the financial district, surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Fanueil Hall and the North End are close. MBTA stations are near by. State Street (Blue / Orange) is a couple of blocks. Aquarium (Blue) is only one block. We have a two-bedroom apartment. The shared space is the kitchen and dining area, with a pair of sofas and a large flat panel television. Each of the two bedrooms has a private bathroom. The kitchen has all the stuff you would need from cookware to flatware and glassware. Stove-top, range and dishwasher with a full-size fridge/freezer. Internet is included. The apartment is mostly quiet. There's some street noise as is normal in any big city - State Street is very busy. A little bit of water noise occasionally from a neighboring apartment over and up, but it is minor. The vertical blinds keep out most of the light but the morning light hits the window quite hard. Curtains would be helpful.

They told me all the little things you would need to know before arriving as well as what to do once you actually got to the door. Also their service on-site has been SO helpful. They always ask before coming into your apartment to service anything, from cleaning your comforter, housekeeping, fixing the internet modem, delivering packages, you name it... The furniture is similar to a hotel, but its fully equipped and they provide all the dishware as well as kitchen and cleaning equipment. So far I've had a superb experience, and I recommend it for your corp housing needs. And don't forget this location is located right next to Fanueil Hall and the Quincy Market, also near the Boston Harbor and the North End, so there's plenty to see and eat around here!

A very noisy, incompatible commercial tenant caused many artists to move and an increasing amount…read moreof residences to be transitioned into solely workplaces - displacing more residents, without notifying investors who made the purchase of the building possible. When one invests thousands of dollars to ensure residents are not displaced, there should be transparent communication when residences are lost. When the artists needed money from investors for this building purchase it was advertised as an artists' live/work space so that professional artists could reside in addition to making art in the area without being displaced by the increased high-end developments. Numbers were given as to how many residences there would be. Since the purchase, the building evolved from its 100% arts/culture requirement and slowly there was less arts/culture square footage starting with the ground floor and basement. There are documents with the city of Boston for something called a 100 Acre Plan and Midway Studios was to satisfy the neighborhood's cultural requirement by being 100% arts and culture. I'm unsure how a boxing gym, national brand snack company, or commercial architecture firm satisfies that requirement. At first, the building had four floors of residences. Residents in floors two through four have complained for 3+ years about the boxing gym using insufficiently insulated punching bags and loud microphones and speakers before the building's stated hours of quiet enjoyment. This excessive unresolved noise and vibration from punching bags and speakers has caused and continues to cause many artists to move and an increasing number of residences to be transitioned into work-only spaces. The point of Midway Studios was to prevent Fort Point's artist residents from being displaced. The original mission seems to be failing and communication about this to investors should be a given.
