1st time there, have had many manicures. The woman that did my nails, (shellac) before painting she took her Dremel tool with sandpaper wheel and used on raw bed of nails. I tried to stop her, that I've never had that done on a raw nail, she said it's very nice. I just removed my polish and my nails are paper thin. Actually painful she sanded so much off. Tom and Amy treated us like family! Their oldest daughter also waited on us. We got two pedis and we both got flowers/designs and they look amazing. They also answered the phone every time we called since we had trouble finding the place when the parking lot was being repaved. They even let us out the back door to be closer to our car! 10/10 for sure! read more

I dont usually write bad reviews but I'm going to hear because I must. I was visiting from California with my boyfriend. I made an appointment for my boyfriend and myself for a simple manicure. arrived on time. Amy is a woman with such a terrible attitude it made me sad. my boyfriend was done in ten minutes. she burped loudly twice as she greeted him. when it was my turn she fought with me when I said I wanted them clipped short. when we got to cuticles, she didn't do them. I am a cosmetologist so I sanitized the instruments and did them myself. all of it. cuticles pushed and trimmed. she looked at her phone and wandered the shop. when I picked up the instruments they had my boyfriends cuticles in them. I'd call the Michigan state board on this place. I paid, but I don't know what for since I essentially did my own nails with their unsanitary instruments. how they've stayed in business is anyone's guess. read more

Not consistent with their service. Did a pedicure once and did a fill here twice. First fill was awesome lasted a while, over two weeks. Second time I went did a pedicure and fill. Pedicure was basic nothing special, not much massage. Nail polish on my toes only lasted a couple days before chipping and breaking off. Gel nail polish on my nails did not fully cover my whole nail on most fingers. Not the nicest salon a little dingy in there. The guy working in there is friendly a little too friendly for me though. Tom and Amy are both very professional and I have been going there for about 3 months now. They both do exactly what I asked them to do and their fast, Polite and I'm glad that I found this nail salon. I got the cat eyes with gel polish lady month and got so many compliments. Love Tom and Amy! They're both super nice individuals and take time to care for your nails/toes Went in a couple weeks ago for a manicure (gel, even though they do use an acrylic base) and LOVED it! It cost around $50 and was totally worth it. Went in today for a basic pedicure ($28) and it was A M A Z I N G let me tell you. Amy gave me a wonderful foot and leg massage (mind you im very picky when it comes to my foot care as im a type one diabetic) she took excellent care of me! Loved the color and the paint job was wonderful! Will continue to come to them for my nail needs! read more

Maybe I'm just picky, but when I get my nails done I expect them to be smooth and done beautifully. My nails were lumpy and the tip looked unusual. As if she thinned down the tip of each nail (not enough acrylic) and they looked almost like a witches nail... but pink. Lol they were nice, they're establishment was clean, and they were not crazy busy this day. As I was literally the only person in there. However I won't be going back. $42 for a set that I didn't want to show off, not so great. read more

I have a $30 gift card from this establishment. I have never had a manicure /pedicure so I'm not sure what to expect. The reviews here are old so I have no idea how this is going to turn out. I'll let you know and update this when I brave it and go in. I hope my gift certificate doesn't expire. UPDATE. The establishment is located in a small strip mall east of the Walmart on Phoenix Road stuffed between Family $ and Admiral Tobacco. I had a gel polish manicure $35. It's been on two weeks and no chips. Amy and Tom were friendly and helpful. English is their second language but I had no problem understanding them. There were several stations for manis and pedis and everything was clean. Lots of colors to choose from. I've been to a lot of nail salons in a lot of different cities, with a range of prices from $22 - over $50. Normally, service and experience will vary a little bit and that's okay. However, I have never experienced a pedicure like this. There was no leg/feet massage. Yep. You read that right. No massage. This was a 10 minute pedicure at most and the technician spread lotion on my legs and feet similar to what I did this morning when I got out of the shower. You know sometimes when you want some extra massage you add a sugar/salt scrub? Well, I was told "I'd offer you the scrub but your legs already seem smooth". Weird, because I'm 9 months pregnant and my legs haven't seen a razor or a good exfoliation in at least a week. Let me also clarify that I don't have nasty toes or gross fat legs, so there was no excuse! Cost: $25 + a measly tip. FYI. read more

I go in and right away she starts messing up my nails, i didn't say anything because i thought she was going to make it better, but she never did. Went there yesterday before work, they told me it would be 15 minutes. Sat and waited 30 minutes then a party of 4 came in who had reservations they told me I had to wait for them too. Had they said they had a group coming in I would not have stayed. Needless to say I left and went to K Nails and was treated well and much quicker. Last visit to Tom and Amy's Nails. read more

I was looking through the comments below and I am just in aw! My whole family and I have been going to Tom and Amy's for years now and have never had a bad experience! The staff is very professionally and friendly. I have a 4, 5 and 7 year old girls and they love coming here! In fact if ask to choose which salon they would rather go to get their nails done it would be here. The pricing is a lot cheaper than most places here in town. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone who likes a big, clean and sanitary place. Tom and Amy never disappoints read more

I read other reviews and have to disagree. This is one of the cleanest salons I have ever been to! Tom & Amy, the owners are always there. They are nice and accommodating to your requests. I go there often and my pedicure alone is at least 30 minutes, With a massage. Make an appointment, if there is a little bit of a wait it is worth it. Overall, I give them a 5 out of 5.
