I wrote a great review for them after my service. They finally did find my issue after a month and it still runs great. After that when I had two minor accidents, I didn't use the place my insurance had suggested for me because I thought they did great work. Both times I got my vehicle back it looks great, on the outside. This was three years ago. I started noticing that the front of my bumper where they repaired that the paint was coming off down to the primer. I also had issues of the front end sides coming loose. I emailed them about this issue and the only response I got was several emails to buy a new car. I have moved three hours away so it was last summer when I was in town, I showed the guy there and if course he tried to blame stones on the road. Funny, apparently I'm very talented and can only drive down stone roads in one half of my car! Also the underneath support is falling apart. I told him I didn't expect them to do anything because it took so long for me to get there and he got some tape and taped my front end on to keep it from coming loose so I could get home. I also had work done on the back quarter panel and amazingly that panel is the only spot on my car that is rusting. I also took it in to service my brake light came on. They charged me $500 and my light was still on. When I questioned why this light was still on they said it was because some of my magnets had fallen out of the bearings and they could fix it for another $500 a wheel. I didn't fall for that but later found out they only fixed the front brakes and my rear brakes weren't touched! They are in very bad shape while the front is good as new. I didn't drive a lot of miles so I'm very upset they lied to me and I'm my opinion overcharged me. If I still lived in that area I would never let them touch my car again. read more

I called last week for an oil change and tire rotation and an overall winter inspection. I worked with Matt in the service department. I got in and out in no time. Matt honored a coupon I got in the mail and had my loyalty tag punched, so I'm on my way to a free oil change. I used to avoid dealerships for routine maintenance, but I find the cost is not higher than lube or tire shops once you consider the GM Loyalty Reward points, coupons from the dealership/manufacturer and the loyalty tag punch card. I had damage to the grill and front end of my car. I was shopping around for quotes and went to this service center/body shop. My dad has taught me a good amount about cars, I also did my own research, worried people would try to take advantage of a young woman (I was paying out of pocket). I was aware they would have to assess the damage for themselves, however I told the employee which parts were damaged prior. He then went into an explanation about the absorber which I found sexist "there's this plastic piece by a name you don't have to worry about that is probably damaged. You can't see it well and it can really change the price of your quote". I then told him I knew what an absorber was and per my assessment it was not damaged but I would be happy to have him take a look at. He then condescendingly said "oh wow, hit stuff much?". I politely ignored the old coot. I wanted to give them a chance since their shop was so close my workplace and it would have made the process much easier. He quoted me over $200 more than any of the three quotes I received prior (all telling me the same things needed fixed). All of these quotes did have a tentative charge in the event the absorber did need to be replaced. One of my prior quotes was from a different Chevy dealership, so that should have been comparable. Avoid this place to buy a car especially from Matt Sitek (he's a dishonest idiot). However if you're looking to have bodywork done don't even consider this place. They outsource that to an undisclosed body shop. And when I got my vehicle back it had no gas, paint was dripping in spots, and it was acting up (turned out to be a gas cap that went missing). Just avoid this place. Update 8-4-17 I made an appointment two weeks ago for a rear driveshaft replacement on my parents vehicle. Somehow these incompetents managed to schedule the appointment but not order the part. This dealership must be plagued by fools to continuously screw things up. I was a little worried about my trip to Naquin after seeing the reviews here, that was already after I made the appointment. So, let's just go for it... Took a little bit of time to get me entered in the system since it was my first time. Which I understand since I work in the industry. Once they finished writing me up I made my way to the waiting room. They had fresh coffee waiting for you as well as fresh fruit in a bowl and a large flat screen television for viewing. My warranty oil change and tire rotation was finished very quickly! i had asked for a vehicle wash and they obliged. The only downfall was they didn't dry it. That was odd. Also, when I got in the truck I found the center console armrest wet and dirty. That was frustrating. Has happened at every dealer I have visited. Still unacceptable. I have a C7 Corvette Z06 that Tom Naquin cannot mount the tires they sold me so, they had my car sent to another vendor to mount the tires several miles away only to also find out that a wheel was cracked and that the warranty they sold me for the wheels when I bought the car doesn't cover the chrome ones that were built with the car and sold to me. After working that issue out the first wheel they ordered arrived in damaged after 3 days so a second one had to be ordered while I wait another 3 to 4 days. Would you believe that when it arrived it was also damaged? At least that's what the Service Manger (Matt) infor me of when I called to check on the order seeing how he wouldn't call me. According to their service manager Matt, a third wheel is now being ordered and I must wait another 3 to 4 days. My car now sets two weeks now at the tire vendor they sent it to to get the tires installed. I recommend staying away from this place for any service or vehicle needs. Paul Powers Elkhart. Lori was in need of a new ride, so we went to Tom Naquin and met Sean Fick. After spending time with us and actually listening to what Lori was looking for, we picked up a sweet 2014 Ford Explorer Limited. Sean was the first car salesman that I liked from start to finish and even after. Every car purchase up until this point has left me feeling like I was taken advantage of, and that I lost a battle some how. This is the first time I haven't felt that way. And since we had such a great experience with Sean, we ended up going back a month later to replace my car. I got a 2014 Ford Taurus SEL, that I love. Well today, I had to go back to the dealership to pick up something I left in my old car. When I got there, Sean was busy helping another customer so one of his coworkers helped me. Update: 7-30-18. The issue has been resolved. Thank you Tom Naquin for listening and working towards a solution we both could agree on. Update: 7-16-18. I have spoken to Danny Groves and we have come to a compromise as to what can be done for the issue I have encountered. I will add another update once the issue is completely resolved. Thank you Danny for the resolution we discussed. Absolutely the worst dealership to deal with. Once you purchase your vehicle the service stops there!!!! I stopped in on June 14 to talk to the service manager, Rick Rudicil. We discussed the issue with my window and there were three options on the table. He told me he would speak to Danny Groves, the sales rep who sold me my car and get back with me in a couple days. So In good faith I scheduled an appointment for two weeks later to have my vehicle serviced and get the issue with my window taken care of. Needless to say my appointment came around and I had heard nothing back from Rick Rudicil. So The morning of my appointment I called and spoke to a gentleman named Rick on the Nissan side. I will say the second Rick did call me back 24 hours later with a response. He explained that I could call and speak with Danny Groves if there were any questions. So on June 27 I spoke to Danny Groves about the poor quality of customer service that I received from Rick Rudicil. He explained he would check into it and get back with me if not that day he would definitely call me on the 28th. Today is July 11 and I still have not heard back from Danny Groves . I have called and left two messages for him to call me and still no response. I would highly suggest going to a different dealership, they do not value the needs of their customers. read more

Well I was happy with Naquins until very recently. I purchased a used 2007 Nissan Murano from them Feb. 2017. They said they did a complete inspection. Truck seemed in a great shape. October 2018 someone backed into the side of my truck and pushed it slightly across the cement. I decided to use Naquins again for the repair. I requested several times that they inspect the underside of my vehicle since it was pushed across the cement from the accident. I was hit on my rear passenger quarter panel no major damage but since my truck was in such good condition we had it fixed. My door still shut as well plus they forgot some kind of clear sticker that was on the door before. I have one on the drivers side (side not hit) and none on the passenger (repaired side). I found grease on the inside of my roof, it was dusty inside from the repair and the window guard on the outside I noticed has a broken clip. They removed this and put it back on broke. I called afterwards and spoke to Heather in auto body repair. I got the story well I cleaned it myself and I didn't see anything. Well Jan. 2019 and my husband finds my rear sub-frame is not just rusted but rotted and a part broke that goes to my rear passenger tire. My Murano is only 12 years old. I ask Naquins to fully inspect after the accident. They mentioned nothing about this. The rust did not happen over night, the damage was there when I took my truck for a repair and they did not either inspect my truck as I requested or they knew because it was sold this way and did not disclose the information. My truck is unsafe to drive unless we repair the $2000 sub-frame to keep my tires from falling off. I will not be returning and I will not recommend them to anyone. They knowingly allowed me to buy/drive an unsafe vehicle off their lot. I think they should be held responsible but I doubt they cared since they allowed this in the first place. So I highly recommend inspecting any vehicle top to bottom, side to side, inside and out if you want to buy a vehicle from them or anyone. I am glad we found the corrosion before we got into an accident. A sub-frame does not rust over night or a year it takes a long time to get where my sub-frame is. They had to be aware of the danger they put my family in. The mechanic at Perry Automotive told me not to put my kid on that side if we had to drive it. That is not what I want to hear when I do have extra kids with me who sit on that side. So it's either $2000 to repair or we sell it. We absolutely will not sell it like it is so there goes our money. Thanks for ripping us off. read more

Drive down the street to another dealer, These guys put lipstick on pigs and lie about their used cars just to get a sale for the highest price. My story, The truck I was looking to by was a 08 Avalanche after a few test drives I noticed the check engine light was on, I asked what was that about and he told me that it ran out of gas so the light was came on. So I leave and come back a few days later and the lights off and everything seems fine so I buy the truck and am happy with my purchase even though I think I overpaid a bit, about a month later I let the gas get below a 1/4 tank and then the truck was out of gas and I'm stranded on the side of the road, now I know they had to have known the gas gauge didn't work properly when it ran out of gas the first time but they decided to withhold that information when selling me the truck. They also use a company to fix rips and tears in the leather seats that only last about a week and now my seats look like a dog was trapped inside for a days. Keep going you can find the same car someplace else don['t trust these guys they aren't here to help they just want the sale. read more

Run away! Service department: Unethical Combative Argumentative Dishonest Inept Went in for a key programming. Quoted $57.00. A part was fried in the process of key programming and they wanted us to pay 800+ for repair. After my husband got involved they lowered the price to 400+ and told him "we aren't gonna make a dime off you" (like that makes us feel any better). We argued we shouldn't be charged for a part that went bad as a direct result of their actions. Because the car wouldn't even start due them wiping out the key, they ordered the part that went bad. The part was coming from a town an hour and a half away but took four days to get it. The car was in their care for exactly a week. On day 6, we decided we needed to file in small claims court. We let them know our intended actions. On the 7th day, they called us to say the original fried part worked just fine and both keys were programmed. The bill would be what was originally quoted about 57.00. The timing was uncanny. We have no idea what really happened but I was just happy to get our car out of there. It still feels like something is off as one key works one way and the old key works in another way. The old key doesn't work in the manner it did before we got ensnared in this nightmare. I won't go back for them to figure it out though. The night before our car miraculously started working again (day 6), we had commented on another unhappy reviewer's post who had an issue with their keys. When we went to get the car (day 7), the service manager, Rick L., admonished us for not reaching out to them first before taking our complaints to Facebook. Funny how the first four times we called speaking to either him, the general manager,or leaving a voicemail for the owner didn't count as trying to work with them. If my car died in their service bay, I would have it towed to a different place for repairs. Lesson learned. read more

We used to love the service at Tom Naquin, but over the last 18 months each visit is progressively worse and worse. I don't even know why I am bothering to fill the survey out because previous complaints have gone unanswered. The guys at the counter make it clear that they are way too busy and overwhelmed to afford the time to care about the customer. My family is loyal to GM with my father in law having been a proud tool and die guy at the BOC in Kalamazoo until his retirement. Although we have bought a couple vehicles from Naquin and some from Gates over the last 20 years, we always preferred the Naquin sales experience. Even with that in mind, the poor service experiences we have had recently will definitely steer us away from Naquin altogether. This is unfortunate because this is the year we will replace our truck with a new one and now we will have to research where we should do our business. I really hope you guys can make the necessary changes to bring back the stellar reputation that you used to have. They have had my truck since Friday night and said it problem wouldn't get worked on till Monday and I was like ok that's fine. Then they changed the alternator, the battery cable, rear brakes and struts, and then asked for two more hours to figure out what was still wrong with the truck cause it was still running weird. That was two days ago! They finally figured out it was the trucks computer, which I guess it was that, and I said go ahead and fix it. That was this morning because I called them to find out what was going on and I still don't have my truck! I'm hoping to see my truck again someday. Also I'm renting a car from them too! If I could leave a -* I would. We traveled from Jamestown NY to Elkart IN in our 2001 Class C (small) motor home with a Chevrolet V-8 Van motor. We broke down in Elkhart and had to be towed into Tom Naquin. Slept in their parking lot, got up the next morning and went into the Service Dept at 7:15. The Service Advisor was very nice and tried to help us; but the Service Manager was a real jerk. Told me he could look at it next week and refused to let anyone come out to even look at the problem. So $150 later, we had to towed to Lochmandy GM, where the Service Dept was excellent. Got it in right away, knowing we were vacationing, diagnosed and fixed the problem. It took them 1 1/2 days to get the computer it needed, but we were 100% satisfied. So, I would advise if you need GM/Chevrolet Service Lochmandy is the place to go. Sad thing is my husband works for an Auto Group with 2 Chevrolet Dealerships and vacationing people are treated excellent!!! They will even let them stay in their parking lot until they can get the parts to service it. read more

My 2012 Chevy had a recall notice, and we took it to Naquin for the work. We had an early morning appointment on January 30, so we dropped off the car about 5:00 pm the night before. Per their instructions, we pulled the car into the garage and physically handed the keys to a service tech. The next morning, we were called and told the car was ready. After signing for the work, I went to my car and found it unlocked. My GPS, at least one CD, and a small pile of change in the driver's armrest pocket were missing. Papers were removed form the center console and placed on the passenger seat, and a couple of screwdrivers that were in the armrest pocket were on the driver's side floor panel. The service manager told me that they are not responsible for anything in the car. I am not accusing any employee of Naquin for the theft, but the fact remains that I left the car in their care, Literally in their garage, not through the key drop. The manager said it was pulled out of the garage into the yard overnight. The car had not been obviously broken into, no broken windows or lock damage, so if an employee did not do it then it must have been left unlocked overnight in their yard. Therefore, they failed to use due diligence while my car was in their care, I believe they are responsible for my loss. They gave me a gift certificate for an oil change, but that is supposed to be adequate compensation for my $100 GPS? That barely makes up for the CD! The world is full of criminals, this I know, but the service manager's "I don't give a damn" attitude is the reason I will never take my car to Naquin for service again. There are many other dealers out there. it must be said that I have no quarrel with the recall work. I will strongly recommend though, if you must take your car to Naquin, you 1) don't drop your car off the night before if you care about it, because they apparently don't care about it, and 2) strip your car clean of any valuables before you give it to them, because if you don't, someone will do it for you. read more

I went to tom Naquin because I found a Chevy equinox that I had to have. the price and miles was what I was looking for and I was waiting on my tax check. I decided to go finance it because I didn't want to lose it. My sales person was Danny groves. he was a nice guy and was nice to my kids' asked to test drive the equinox and he brought it up. My children and I drove it and we all really liked it. he started the procedure for my finance and after an hour and a half I was approved and he handed me the keys while waiting for the finance guy for papers. while waiting I asked for the car fax and never received it, and I asked how much are my payments because I couldn't really pay anything above 150 a month..and he said "the finance guy will be with you soon" needless to say the finance guy started paperwork and had me sign stuff. I asked how much the payments are and he said I'm getting there. my payments ended up being 190 a month. after I waited over 2 hours I was just wanting to get out of there and I would find away to make payments later. I left right at closing on a Saturday. later that night I noticed every time I started the truck the temperature gauge on the dash started going to the right. eventually it got pinned all the way to the right and has yet to move. I called Danny first thing at 9 am on Monday morning and he said that he would look into it. I stopped in 3 times that week and he still had no answer for me. he said he was waiting for nick. I then got a voicemail that said he got a bad review and needed to talk. I had no idea but found out that my boyfriend sent a review that said "Bought a 2007 Chevy Equinox from there and within 2 days my temperature gauge started to messing up. Have called and went in and still no help. Hate to see what happens if the motor over heats and have to actually have to deal with warranty issues " needless to say they refused to fix my temperature gauge because of that review they wanted me to take it down. I talked to Danny again and said my bf found the part for 20$ and it should not take a week to fix a 20$ part. he said they would fix it and said if I brought the part in he would reimburse me. i said i wasn't going to get the part if they will fix it. he said he would call with an apt, he was waiting for the cluster guy to come in. I called every day leaving multiple voicemail and still nothing. the finance guy Leo called to make sure everything was ok and I told him what was going on. he said he would go over everyone and go to the repair shop and would call me back. 3 days later I called him back and he said something about the review and they didn't want to fix it. after a week or longer in contact everyday he said he would see how much it would cost and maybe he could help me himself. he said to call him at 2:30 and I did. no answer. I called for 2 more days...no answer...here it is made my 1st payment and still NOTHING. I will NEVER EVER EVER go to them ever again. and I will make sure to let everyone I know not to go there also. they don't answer there phone and don't return calls. Smart key programming resulted in damaged control module. 2009 Infiniti FX35 was dropped of on Tuesday November 10, 2015 to have a 2nd smart key programmed. During the programming process, a body control module was destroyed rendering both keys inoperable. Naquin Service Manager (Rick) indicated that this was "not our fault" and my wife was responsible for a new $800.00 part. After being made aware of this, I promptly spoke with Rick and he confirmed that $800 was the cost and it was our responsibility. After seeking other professional mechanics input, they were as outraged as I was that this was in any way our responsibility. Calmly I contacted Rick on November 11,2015 and argued this point based on business practice (or lack thereof). This vehicle was delivered to Naquin in good working order and the service module that was damaged was directly tied to the key programming process. Rick indicated that he would do me a favor and reduce the price of the part to $425.00 and that he is losing money at that cost due to the interruption to their production. As a small business man, I was very disappointed in this conclusion as the vehicle was damaged while in the care of Tom Naquin Nissan. I contacted Thad Naquin (owner of Tom Naquin Nissan) and left a voicemail which in turn he passed off onto one of his managers. The manager called me and refused to stand behind the part that was destroyed while in their care. They said they had to order another part from Infiniti Fort Wayne, Indiana and it would not be in until Monday November 16th. This also did not make sense that Naquin (being authorized to work on Infiniti's) could not have expedited the part any quicker than a 5 day turn around. At the time of filing this complaint, my family has been without a vehicle for 6 days and counting. Reviews of Tom Naquin Nissan's service and business practices have been reviewed extensively online and it is not surprising that we are having the difficulties that we are dealing with them (lesson learned). Bottom line, my wife and I were quoted $67.00 for having a smart key programmed, a circuit board was destroyed in Naquins attempt to program said key and I am on the hook for $425.00 to fix their mistake. No status update of the car was given at the time of filing this claim, so we are left wondering if Naquin will have our vehicle for another day or another month. On November 16th, I left a voicemail with Thad Naquin indicating that I have been advised by legal council to file a small claims suit against Tom Naquin Nissan as well as file claim with Better Business Bureau. Sadly, this claim has less to do with money and more to do with common business practices and ethics (or lack thereof). If the vehicle was dropped off to have a smart key programmed and an unrelated system was affected (power train system for example), I would understand completely that Naquin had no fault in this scenario. This is not related to that scenario however, and the affected system was directly related to the procedure that was being done to this vehicle. If programming smart keys pose a liability to Tom Naquin Nissan, perhaps they should rethink offering this service. read more

Bought a Chevy Volt in 2012 had a great experience with the sales staff. For the first year the service was great but after that it has gotten worse and worse. Now they do not even return calls in the service department. Beware if you leave a voice mail they will never get back with you. I called over six months a go when my door to the charger would not open no one has ever bother to call me back. My engine light came on and it took me several days to get in touch with a real person finally got in but they did not have enough time to figure out the engine light. The light came back on days later so I called on a Thursday and it took until the following Monday at 5:00pm for someone to call me back with nothing but excuses about why they had not called me back. I saw a car on their lot and since i've been pricing them I thought "wow" because I knew this car was an awesome deal. My dream car. Online it was listed for twenty eight thousand. My exact price range. when I went to the dealership after they closed to look at the car their window sticker said thirty four thousand dollars. so my boyfriend pulled up the website on his smart phone and we compared the VIN number on the website to the car on the lot. Same. so I thought sale sticker isn't on yet! But just to be sure the next day I called and talked to a salesman named matt and asked if there was anything I should know about this car that was not online and if the sticker online had anything different on it than the one out there. never mentioned i had been there. He said no online has everything. we scheduled a test drive later that day. I was so excited I called my insurance company and figured out what insurance would be then pulled ten grand out for a downpayment. When I got there and walked in he brought a paper up to me and the price said thirty four thousand. THey knew the price was wrong before they scheduled my test drive i'm almost sure. he told me he just overheard a conversation about getting the price fixed online. I was devastated and left. called the manager twice. my boyfriend left a message once and I called and left my name and number with a secretary who said the boss had left. has not returned my calls. HAS NOT changed the price of the vehicle online. So basically beware a dealer that posts COMPLETELY FALSE prices online just to get you in the door even when you call they don't mention it and then won't sell you the car at the price listed. I know everyone makes mistakes and maybe this was theirs but when your customer service sucks so badly they won't return your calls and they are shady in the way they have to get customers in the door then maybe its not the kind of business you wanna buy a car from. read more

I purchased a 2011 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet new in September 2012. The car had numerous problems with the paint, probably from sitting on the lot for several months and a few test drives. The car was dirty (dust) inside and out. I imagine since it is a convertible, the dealer left the top down a lot to showcase the car. When we purchased the car, we were told by the salesman the dealer would take care of the paint issues and clean the car. We have made at least a half dozen trips back to the dealer and they have yet to repair the car correctly. They have fixed two (2) of approximately a dozen problems with the paint. They have twice now applied some kind of armor-all or other substance throughout the interior and this dries with a white film. We have repeatedly told them not to do this.The dealer people, especially Greg, are rude and say they will take care of the car but they do not follow through and ensure the items are corrected. It is like a typical hand-off. I really felt that things might be better this last go around since I was called by Thad, who owns the Nissan dealer. We discussed everything in detail that need to be corrected. When I picked up the car from this last service, I was so upset and mad. I told Greg in the body shop my complaints and what was wrong. Greg just dismissed every single complaint. I would never recommend Tom Naquin Nissan to anyone. In all of my car buying experiences, this is the worst. read more
