I love being able to learn about local farmers, artisans, and experts in town. They offer several options to exchange funds and many of the vendors take multiple payment options. All of the vendors that I've met have been really kind and fair-priced if not sometimes cheaper than big stores. The social media accounts will often tell you what vendors will be at the market each day and I think that can be really helpful! There's free parking which is really nice but the market does get busy VERY quickly. I know the Saturday markets during the summer can be suuuper busy so I'd recommend going early or knowing you may need to walk.

I grabbed some baked goods and some handmade goods as well. The vendors do have bags but I recommend you bring your own. Some take cash, all take credit. There is some cover if there is rain. Parking was surprisingly easy, and once we got started, it was a block and a half of a good time. Now, we did not buy much, but we did enjoy seeing everything and talking to a few people. We were especially excited to buy fruit directly from the farmers! I got a bunch of peaches and nectarines, and let me say I have never in my life tasted such good fruit! I also tried the homemade strawberry & rhubarb pie, and bought the homemade honey with cinnamon. I also especially liked how the Farmer's Market overlooked Silver Beach. They are one of the only…read morein the area to offer no-spray, organic blueberries, both u-pick or picked (even frozen in the off-season. Prices are very reasonable. There are other fruits available during different times of the year, as well. The u-pick is done based on the honor system, which is very convenient if you want to pick in off hours. When we need frozen blueberries, we call and arrange a time to stop by the farm. Both Schemenauers are very kind, decent, hard-working people. It is worth the extra drive time for us to go to Bangor, when we have 3 blueberry farms within 3 miles of our house! We have recommended this place to many of our friends, and they have said it is worth the drive, as well!
