We were so pleased that we decided to do another project to restore an antique rocking chair that I inherited from my Italian grandparents. The chair was in bad shape and needed quite a bit of repair. I wish I had a "before" photo. This project required coordination with Shaw's Upholstery that Russell recommended. We enjoyed working with both highly skilled craftsman. Russell was very patient with us as we considered various stains and finishes. We were never rushed. High Grade Finishing provides first class workmanship with great customer service.

All turned out beautifully, but my favorite thus far, is their kitchen table and chairs. They used the chairs until they both passed away, but the table had been relegated to the garage. When I got them, the chairs required repair and the table was in pieces. Rus and Val do phenomenal work as evidenced by these photos. I have the set in a new addition to my home and use the table on occasion as a desk. My grandparents would not recognize the set, but they would be so pleased that their "old furniture" is still used. Thank you to High Grade Finishing for restoring all my childhood memories associated with these pieces!

Finished Edge Flooring

Tom was able to come to my house and provide a free estimate and I was pleased with the price since it was cheaper than 3 other comapnies we previously contacted. He was very accommodating with my schedule, and was able to complete the job by the promised date. I'm very happy with how my living floors look and I would recommend Tom to anyone who has any flooring needs. You can depend on Tom and his company to get the job done.

I found Finished Edge Flooring on Google when I was searching for someone to install and stain my…read moreupstairs hallway. I called Tom, he did not answer, so I left him a voicemail. He called me back within 10 minutes and offered to come to my home that day for a free estimate. I was surprised and excited by how quick I was starting this new floor process. Tom came to my house that evening. I explained to him that I received a ton of outrageous estimates for the job because the hallway is so small. A lot of places I previously went to required a minimum amount of flooring that my hallway did not meet. My hallway is roughly 60 square feet. I let Tom know that being a first time home buyer and being on tight budget, I am looking for someone to give me an honest and fair price for the work that needed to be done. He quoted me a price that I thought was reasonable and I appreciated it very much. He then began to tell me that he was not going to make any money on the job but he would do it anyways. He did not seem enthusiastic about the job at all. He said he would be at my house to start the work Monday or Tuesday of next week, but most likely Tuesday. Tuesday came around and he no call no showed. I had to call and see if he was still coming and he said he got caught up at a job and would be there tomorrow around 11AM. Wednesday came around and at 1:30PM he still had not called or showed up. I called him to see where he was and there was a fire alarm going off in the background so it was hard to understand what he was saying. Instead of saying he would call me back or stepping outside to take my call, he asked me to call him back in 10 minutes. I called him back in 10 minutes, he said hello and hung up. Called him back again and it went to voicemail. Called him back again and he answered. He said he would be at my house in an hour and a half. I asked if he was sure about this since he did not call or show the day before. He said he would be and he would "figure it out" and call me back in 10 minutes. He called me back awhile later to tell me that the job will have to wait until the next day. It seems as though my job was so small and he "wasn't making any money on it" that it took no priority what so ever for his schedule, or even a simple phone call to give me an update on what was going on. Needless to say I told him to forget it. If he had not wanted to do the job in the first place or wasn't going to stay true to his word on when he would be there, he could have been straight forward with me and just let me know he did not want or did not have time to do the job. I understand people have busy schedules and that businesses need to make money, but I do not understand horrible customer service. This economy hypes up supporting small businesses, well why should I if that small business will not support a small job. I would NEVER recommend Finished Edge Flooring to anyone and put them through the headache I went through to get a hallway redone.
