Booked a two hour session last night (02-14-2026) with my wife. It was both of our first time "Axe throwing" and it was very fun. The owner and staff were very friendly, beyond great customer service. Drinks were inexpensive, pop corn was brought to your table and they provide little Cesar's Pizza. Overall a great experience. My wife and I visited Tomahawk Axe Throwing yesterday and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the handwritten "I'll be back in 10 minutes" sign,which turned out to be 25 minutes, turned us off. We had a prepaid reservation for 6pm and the door was only unlocked at exactly that time. Then the single staff person left to his personal vehicle, after we had seen him walking around the establishment prior. Upon our arrival, we asked to push our 1-hour reservation to 6:30pm (the place was empty) and were met with dismissive, rude behavior, and a complete lack of basic customer service skills. Simple questions were met with hostile and sarcastic responses, and it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than a valued guest. He interrupted our evening, while we were eating the "cold" food we had brought with us to try and justify his behavior because he was having a bad day. He did nothing to make things right. It's frustrating when a venue that could have potential is completely overshadowed by one staff person who clearly didn't care about our experience. This was our anniversary activity that seemed fun, but we left without "Axe Throwing."The owner (Cynthia) voluntarily texted and called us to apologize for our negative experience. She was great and showed empathy, understanding and was apologetic. She tried to make it right, but by that time we were on our way home. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share this in the hope that management takes action. Until then, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant or professional experience. read more

This place was so much fun! I am so happy they finally opened up an axe throwing place in Apple Valley. I came with my friend and it was a blast. They have a cute photo op section right when you walk in, I like that you can play a variety of games during your session. From connect four, tic tac toe, or zombies, there's so much to choose from. Our church rented out the venue and had a great time!! Renting out the place was so easy thanks to the helpful staff and owners. We truly enjoyed our time. The place is set up for enjoyment, they have fun games to play while throwing axes instead of just target, like duck hunt, tic tac toe. We had a blast for my daughter's 23rd birthday at @tomahawkaxethrowinghd last weekend. I won a giveaway! I was able to have a private event at this cool place, and I wasted no time setting it up. The staff was so nice and helpful. They instructed everyone on how to throw the axes, and even my son got a "private lesson" from a very sweet employee whose name I didn't catch, but please tag her. We were able to bring in our own food and non alcoholic beverages, which was so nice. They have a great selection of beers we purchased while playing.
