I literally called on a Tuesday for a Friday night party and the owner made it happen. They were very informative on safety precautions which was nice and helpful. The owner even showed each of us how to successfully throw to make sure we hit the targets which is a plus in my book because I was the worse one you are allowed to take your own food just no drinks so you can patronize the business which offers beers & seltzers from local breweries as well as Gatorade, water and sodas. The fun part was if you have a birthday cake you can cut it with an axe!! All of our guests had a great time. This family time was much needed.

You give your ID to keep on file and they go over the different throwing methods and how to change the background screen where you're throwing. I thought this was really cool! There's also alcohol/drinks available for purchase. There are also pinball machines in the front and a rage room in the back that looked like something I should be doing lol. It was a fun experience throwing the axes and having some friendly competition with my husband. Even if you're not in an axe throwing mood, being able to hang out here and play pinball or drink is really cool too and the location is perfect because it's in downtown Upland next to everything. Unfortunately for us, another party was waiting on an earlier reservation to use the rage room, so we had to go home. I understand that emergencies happen. HOWEVER, we know that the owner was contacted by at least an hour before we showed up for our reservation. That was ample time to call or email us to let us know that we should reschedule. You knew no one was there to run the business. You knew that people with reservations would be showing up. You did nothing to try to mitigate the problem. We had to find childcare. We had to go to the store and spend extra money to buy items to smash. You could have saved us a lot of trouble with a phone call. The irony is that after this experience, I really needed to smash something to get my frustration out.
