    We made 8pm reservations!

The "Maine" draft beer was great. Food was absolutely amazing and service, top tier . Good vibes. Will definitely return!

BBQ platter, the smoked ribs are absolutely delicious!

Great spot in Merrimack to grab a burger, steak or BBQ and a beer! The atmosphere inside has a pub feel while still being very family friendly. They do often have some fresh smoked BBQ, and when they do that platter is a must-order. My other favorite on the menu is the steak tips -- they're a generous portion, always cooked perfectly (I order mine medium rare) and seem to be high-quality beef. If you ask, sometimes they have special flavors different from what's on the menu (it's helpful to take a peek in the butcher half of the business and see what they have marinating. The service is also excellent and all the wait staff is very friendly. I've never had to wait for anything and don't find my glass empty very long before someone stops by offering a refill.

Excellent selection of prime and choice beef. I got two prime sirloin steaks that I cooked on the BBQ. Came out amazing!

Went to Tomahawk for a birthday - the birthday man got the Tomahawk for 2 and was very impressed! Our server was very friendly. Lots of TVs around to watch sports, some even right in the booth (good or bad). Half a deli/butcher shop, half tavern with good vibes! Big menu with options for everyone, and we all liked our meal. Only downside was it took a long time (longer than average) between ordering and getting our meal.

Ya know, they really oughta nickname the town of Bedford "Booji Town". Because this is where New…read moreHampshirites come to empty their wallets. So, it's a high end butcher shop. *ahem* ... 'Scuse me, butchah shop. How I happened by this place was actually through word-of-mouth via the NH subreddit. When I saw they had a fairly good average (despite having far too few reviews), I knew this would be the ideal place to purchase my first home cooked prime rib. Now, this review shall be a special treat for some of you. Because for once, I get to show off a bit of my limited cooking skills, whilst also showcasing the would-be end results of consuming such high quality produce in the privacy of one's own home. As you can see, the selection is vast! I couldn't stop taking pictures, but kinda had to restrain myself in case the staff or management assumed I was somebody important. Fish, chicken, beef, pork? WGB has you covered. As mentioned, we stopped in for a nice prime rib. They have two cuts, Grade A and Prime (if I'm remembering those correctly...please don't @ me). Let's just nickname them "good enough cut" and "booji cut". Long story short, the booji cut has more marbling; ergo, more naturally buttery flavor. Since this was an extra special treat I was providing for myself and family, I opted for the additional flavor. This was my first attempt at roasting a prime rib at home and I gotta say...it came out really good! About an 8 out of 10, if I'm being completely transparent. I gotta tweak some things with the recipe. But ultimately, temp control is the key to cooking a juicy, tender prime rib. I had a chance to peak at some of the other items available here and noted the steaks are also priced significantly higher than the grocery store. Perhaps one day I might try a rib eye from here just to see how it turns out on the grill. Evidently, they have a counter in the front that also sells sides and sandwiches. Dunno if I'd ever personally use this, but it's there for folks who wanna grab a quick bite to-go. Oh, and a shout out to the outstanding staff who quickly helped us and explained the choices of cuts they had. They were also wicked accommodating when it came to portioning the requested weight. Show up with your wallets loaded, folks! Cuz this place is the real deal. I'm affectionately giving Wicked Good Butchah 5 tender, juicy, med-rare slices of prime rib out of 5.

That wouldn't have been a big deal, but the woman working at the front desk was extremely rude and made the interaction feel unnecessarily unpleasant. For context, I was there to pick up meat for a large party and planned to spend around $2,000. Instead, I took my business to another local butcher. I'm not saying Wicked Good Butcha doesn't offer quality products--I've heard good things about their meat. My issue was solely with the customer service and the way I was treated. A little courtesy and professionalism would have gone a long way. I left feeling genuinely disrespected, which was disappointing.

As some may recall, I love me some rib eye. As such, I happen to spot a butcher shop near the same place wifey and I get our pedis. That's how I found this place. Usually I head to Wicked Good Butcha up in Bedford. But I figured since this place is way closer, I'd give them a try. Anyways, we try a little under 2 pounds of rib eye that day. Only...it seemed like a bit less than that. Lemme explain.. These particular cuts of meat could have been distant cousins. Because whilst one was pretty lean with still plenty of marbling, the other piece was something like...30% fat. So, that meant that sometime after grilling was done and carnivorous consumption commenced, I had to essentially leave behind the less than edible chewy, fatty pieces. Nevertheless, you can see from the pics I took how delicious these cuts of beef look. The meaty parts I could manage to extract melted in my mouth like butter (which meant I nailed the mid-rare temp I was going for). Point is though...I couldn't have made a better steak if I just went to the grocery store. The store itself is pretty small and quaint. Everything about their display screams "fresh". Thing is....I've yet to try more things from here. Hence, my lack of fifth star. I figure, it's too soon to tell. But perhaps after I obtain some baby back ribs from them, maybe....we'll see. For now though...I'm giving Brother's Butcher 4 savory rib eye steaks on the grill that melt in your mouth out of 5.

Stopped by Brothers Butcher Shop in Nashua as we had never tried it…read more We asked the clerk what grade the NY strip steaks were and he had no idea. He asked another girl working there and she said I think its Choice, but she did not sound like she was really sure what grade of meat it was. It was $21.99/lb. We decided to try one. Got home and grilled it. It was nothing special and not very tender. When your buying beef you should know what USDA grade it is, and sellers should have it labeled in the cases for buyers to see...Select grade being the lowest, choice grade being in the middle, and prime grade being the best and most tender of the three......Just bought prime grade strip steak for only 19.99 lb from Old Boys Butcher Shop in Merrimack NH a newly opened business and it was VERY tender. We also got a Chicken Pie from the frozen case made by Wrights Farm. It was $18.99 for an 8 inch pie. I am always looking for a great Chicken Pie. I've yet to find one except for Raymonds Turkey Farm. This pie was pathetic. And I mean pathetic. Tiny pieces of chicken, bland gravy and no vegetables. No taste. It had a bottom crust which was very hard to cut to get the pie out of the pan. The 8 inch pie is barely enough for 2 people. And I made mashed potatoes and peas also. My experience at this butcher shop was not overwhelming by any stretch. Would not recommend Brothers Butcher Shop. High prices and mediocre food.

But I decided that I can give my opinion of the management of Mr. Steer. They are the rudest, most unhelpul people that you can imagine. Not every employee but I am specifically talking about the owner/manager, his son behind the meat counter, occasionally the check-out clerk and even sometimes the deli counter person. I live within a mile of the store and have been here many times. I'll admit that they do have great meat and prepared foods. But it's not worth the abuse that you get from the above named employees, I went there a couple of Sundays ago and went into the store at 3:50, ten minutes before closing, to just pick up some steak tips for grilling.
