This place is so AMAZING! I have had sensitivity issues my entire life, and have had some horrible abusive situations with previous dentists. As a result, I had avoided going to the dentist out of fear and worry for over 7 years. I was afraid of being yelled at and afraid that my sensitivity needs would not be accomodated. I knew I was overdue for a visit, and stumbled upon Tomalty Dental Care and I couldn't be happier. From beginning to end, everyone has been a pleasure to deal with. From scheduling the appointment over the phone to arriving to the office. Everyone is positive, upbeat and understanding. I went in with firm expectations of wanting to express my needs and concerns with the doctor before being touched, and was able to do so without question. Dr. Jordan took his time to listen to me, and was willing to grant my wish of being completely numb before my mouth was touched. Within 10 minutes, Dr. Jordan had gotten father with me than any previous dentist had in over 2 hours. He was gentle, explained everything thoroughly, and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable (even when giving the numbing shot, which I barely felt AT ALL!). In addition, I have Cerebral Palsy and have a service dog to help me control my muscle spasms, and she was able to stay with me the entire time I was in the chair, which was amazing! Dr. Jordan mentioned that I should have my wisdom teeth removed (which is something I have known for a long time, but have avoided). Due to his compassionate care, I am actually feeling comfortable with moving forward and getting that done within the next few months. The level of trust and comfort in this office simply cannot be beat! All in all, I can't say how thankful I am to have found Tomalty. I am feeling determined, comfortable and confident about getting back on track with my regular cleanings and annual checkups. That is saying a lot considering I used to lose sleep the night before dental appointments and avoided going at all costs. I have already recommended Tomalty to my family and I can say with confidence that I will never go anywhere else! My only wish is that I would have found them sooner! Hold on to your shirt if you go here, you might not have it when you leave. I was charged $1800 for a front tooth veneer which fell off 4 hours later. I called and complained and was told they would make another. It took them 26 days to get a veneer . Meanwhile I told them I would get a second opinion because it was taking so long . I found a dentist who fixed it for $360 and it's still in my mouth! Tomalty continues to charge me $1800 for work they couldn't do . I'm putting in a claim against them through CareCredit (Synchrony Bank) to get reimbursed for a partial refund. I told them I would pay for Dr Jordan's time and the cost for 1 lab expense. At my last cleaning, my hygienist found a growth on my tongue I Had no idea was there, had the dentist look at it and then saw the practice's oral surgeon for a biopsy the next day. Turns out it was pre-cancer. Had growth surgically removed two weeks later. If the hygienist hadn't been as attentive or as professional, i would have had a future cancer diagnosis! read more

I AM FROM FLORIDA, BOCA RATON AREA NOT CALIF i used my old dentist for about 20 years, he retired and sold out to tomalty dental care. about a year or so. i had a problem with a root canal tooth. i went to tomalty, was told i needed a 6 tooth bridge, work was completed for approx. $8000. +. never felt comfortable after many adjustments i gave up. several months later the bridge broke in 2 places.. a new bridge was made, much more comfortable, after several visits and adjustments, my gums would bleed, that stopped. i asked dawn to please put the bridge in perminate, she refused wanted to make sure fit ok. on nov.10 at 1 am the bridge fell out. i am an 89 yr old handicapped widow on many pills that must be taken with food. i had 3 pyramed teeth and 3 empty spaces. i drove over to tomalty on veterens day no one was in the building to help reset the bridge, this was about 9:30 am. jenifer called another office that did not open until 10:30, they would call me to see if and when they could see me. by this time my heart meds were 3 hours late. i went to another dentist as an emergency was taken right away, cost was $130. tomalty would not reimburse me. i would not recomend tomalty as i have had so much aggravation ( sorry for misspelled words) ruth boca raton florida read more

When it comes to dental care I only accept the best. And I've been to more than enough dentists in my lifetime to know the good and the bad. So when I moved to SE Florida I was not sure I would find a dentist that lived up to my standards, but fortunately I did. I went for my first cleaning and the staff were all very friendly, the dental assistant Christine did a great job cleaning my teeth. She was super personable and made you feel very comfortable. Dr. Sean was also very friendly. Since they have gotten my seal of approval, I can rest assured that my loved ones will be safe in their care. I would rate a zero if I could. My husband has been going to Tomalty. His account was paid in FULL. A zero balance. He had a secondary insurance which sent in $1000 which should have been sent to us. Instead the insurance girl applied it to 9 "adjustments." She will not talk to us no matter how many times we call. Our insurance company called and told her to give us the money. She promised it last week. Of course, we received nothing. She has continually lied and then lied again to cover for her previous lies. read more

I had the worst experience with this dentist. I had a toothache, and was told it was because I needed a crown, so he prepared it and put a temporary crown. A few days later the toothache got worse and was told I needed a root canal. Got the root canal, and then the permanent crown in. A few weeks later the toothache came back. He took X-rays and couldn't see anything wrong, so he put me on antibiotics. That didn't work so he referred me to an endodontist who told me that it would need to be redone. Not convinced, I ended up going to another dentist for a 2nd opinion and was told that the root canal that this dentist worked on did not close the entire root so now I have to get it redone, along with a new crown. Total waste of time and lots of money. After all this, I am still in discomfort. Lesson learned: If you want to waste money, then go to this dentist. read more

While my I still had a negative experience with this office, I truly believe that my experience was a rare one. He contacted me with compassion and understanding and I really appreciated it. He acknowledged and validated my experience and offered to make it right. He seems like a caring dentist who works to make his patients comfortable. Great experience, makes me look forward to going to the dentist! We all know that going to the dentist can be scary... but the office staff, dental hygenist and Dr Tomaly make it enjoyable. The office is clean, easy to get to and accomadating. The front desk staff is friendly and professional... appointments are on time with little to no wait. Let me start by saying the dentists here are so gifted. When they say pain less they mean painless!!! My mother became a patient, she had the worst pain and the Doctors made her feel at home. Front desk staff was eating breakfast in front of clients and talking about their lunch, which delayed me getting checked in. The dental hygienist was very friendly and would get a 5star rating from me- however the young male dr I saw would not. I believe it was the son Tomalty. He asked me if I ever thought of braces and why I never got them before (I was never told by any dentist I need braces, and at 30 years old my teeth are still straight and have no issues). He also said I may be grinding my teeth at night and should get a mouthguard. Again, this has never been an issue with me. Total money greedy office in my opinion that offers unnecessary treatments. We just moved to Boynton Beach and I went to a dentist and was Horrible!!!! I found Dr. Jordan Tomalty was right by us and I am so glad I found them. The office is state of the art and CLEAN! The staff is amazing. I just could not believe how nice and caring they are. They were also $100 cheaper for my crown than the other nightmare I went to. Dr. T has a great bedside manner. That means a lot to me because I am a big baby at the dentist and I need some extra TLC. He was so kind and asked about my kids. I had three novacane shots and he was really gentle about it. The worst dentist ever. I agree with Jon. He has no mercy. He only wants to do major work. I believed him when he said I needed it. I did the work for $6800. I still have problems. I went in for a chipped tooth! Shame on me for believing him. The chipped tooth even ended up a mess. A mess that cost me $695. After tons of adjusting on other teeth, my mouth is still a mess. If I could rate a zero I would. I went for a cleaning and had a hygentist who was a traveling one. It was the first time she had been in the office. I want a dentist with a stable staff who can track my periodontal progress since I have some problems. This hygentist told me she would most likely not see me again as the ride for her was too far. This Tomalty Dentist is a smooth operator. He gets you in the chair and then tells you you have to have a new crown intead of cementing the onet that fell out. So, 1,395 later I was in for a new crown. Later I went to have my and my husband's teeth cleaned. He did mine with xrays. But,he refused, after taking my husband's xrays, to clean his teeth saying that he needed work and a new crown on a tooth. I refused to let that happen suspecting that cleaning his teeth had nothing to do with needing a crown. So we left paying $95 for each of us with no cleaning ncluded for my husband. I have found someone who will kindly clean my husband;s teeth and then will have the tooth attended to when it is necessary and we can afford it. Never to darken the Tomalty door again. Went in this past week for a cleaning and checkup, I saw the new hygienist- she was really friendly and very knowledgeable. She actually took the time to teach me how to floss better and show me which areas needed attention. Im really thankful for her advice. Many people consider going to the dentist torture, however I visited Dr. Sean for a cleaning & check-up a couple of days ago and everyone from the front desk staff to the dental hygienist to Dr. Sean, himself were welcoming and genuinely nice people. The hygienist, Alyssa, did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth and did so in a relatively short time, considering I hadn't been in for a cleaning for almost a year. She even recommended ways in which I could improve my overall oral health. I had my first root canal today. I made the mistake of looking up what to expect when getting a root canal on Google. Note to self...never do that again! My experience was dare I say, relaxing?!! I felt zero discomfort. Even when getting my medication to numb the area. My treatment took about an hour which included the time waiting to be numbed, three sets of x-rays before and during the procedure and getting my crown. I hadn't been to dentist in 4 years as was honestly pretty nervous to hear what was going on in my mouth but the staff at Tomalty was simply amazing. I have visited the office at their Fountains and Canyon locations. I received amazing care at both places! I never write reviews but I am just blown away that I had such a dreaded procedure done in a short amount of time without any pain! My hat is off to these dentists!!! Job well done! read more

In 10/12 I went to this firm for a routine teeth cleaning. While in the chair Dr. Tomalty proposed removing 3 gold crowns because they were old. I was reluctant but I have 2 dental plans so I did agree. He removed the three molars and inserted a temporary filling. Then much to my surprise, his office assistants demanded $1600 from me. My 2 plans covered up to $3500 which should be sufficient for this procedure. I pointed this out to the staff people who confirmed that I did have insurance BUT they still wanted additional money from me. Under severe duress I paid. When I returned to my home I wrote a letter to the Tomalty Dental Care demanding my $1600 because I had sufficient insurance & specifying interest on this over charge. I never heard one word from this practice. They were paid $1000 and then by mistake filed for one molar and received another $775. Then they realized their billing error and filed for 2 more molars & after 3 months, they filed again for an additional $1500+. By this time I had alerted the insurance company and Tomalty Dental Care was denied the 2nd filing. I have sent numerous letters and never had a reply. I then called Tomalty demanding that they finish this dental work. I was then told by Tomalty that he would never see me and that he was keeping the old and the new crowns along with my $1600. Thus Tomalty Dental care received $3375, all of the gold and I am left with badly damaged teeth. They stole my money and they will steal yours. NEVER GO TO TOMALTY DENTISTRY, THEY ARE CROOKS AND WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. read more

I was stunned to read the negative reviews of Tomalty Dental Care on this site. My husband and I have both been patients of Dr. Jordan Tomalty for about eight years, and our care has been as close to perfection as can possibly be. In every case, Dr. Tomalty explained exactly what was needed, why it was needed, and what alternatives were available. At no time did we feel pressured to do something with which we were not comfortable. The rates for services (fillings, crowns, etc.) were significantly lower than prior providers, and the quality of service was so much higher. The staff has always been very patient and attentive to our needs. Dr. Tomalty does our cleanings himself -- instead of having a technician do it, as is often done at other practices. There have been times we called on weekends or evenings due to emergencies, and unbelievably it was Dr. Tomalty himself who took the calls, and he always did what was needed to care for us in emergency situations. How many dentists answer their own phones after hours and on weekends? On one occasion, my husband experienced massive bleeding when having a tooth extracted (due to medications he was taking). Dr. Tomalty immediately arranged for my husband to see an outstanding oral surgeon and we were not charged a single penny for this extra level of care. Dr. Tomalty explained that he had quoted us a price and all of the necessary care was included in this price. We are so grateful to have this outstanding father and son -- now two sons -- practicing together, and hope to rely upon them for our dental care for the rest of our lives.
