I set a appointment which took 3 hours to be ready, as I walked in I was already nervous, before I asked for a 6 on the razor the barber went lower and lower all the way to a 4, she gave me a mullet un-asked for, I asked for a quarter inch off and she did a whole INCH AND A HALF. Had very high hopes for this place but now I'm extremely disappointed. They claim to take walk-ins but when you show up they tell you they are booked for the day. It's happened to me 3 different times already on different days including a Saturday. Unfortunately they don't take appointments either... makes no sense to me, no walk-ins and no appointments. Hmmm!!! I did get a haircut here once and while they aren't the cheapest in town the service and quality was great. Very disappointed that I keep getting turned away when I show up. They lost my business as I won't be coming back here. Do yourself a favor and find another barbershop, this one is either short staffed or too busy for new business. read more

Just happen to be in Arizona for business and we are leaving today. One of my colleagues needed to stop at a near by shop and out of the corner of my eye I saw this barber shop and wanted to stop in. #1 upon entering the building I was greeted immediately. The foyer was dedicated to product on both sides in a very nicely built and lit up display. Very impressive level of product. #2 The lady that greeted me (Jessica) was an absolute gem from start to finish. She is simply put a true professional in the mens hair care industry. If you enjoy extremely long wait time (30 minutes for me and 50 minutes from the guy that came in just after me) and dealing with the lady who decides to be the face mask police then this place is right up your alley! I walked out the front door Without a haircut after waiting 20 minutes. I will never return. First haircut here was really good. 2nd time, I come back, get the same guy who did a good job before. He makes some suggestions, they sound good and he did a good job last time... I'll let him work his magic. Terrible choice! I walk in with 4 inches up top, He tells me he's taking a inch off... When I'm done I have an inch LEFT. Not even the same universe of hair length. To the guy's credit, it doesn't look awful. But if I'm gonna change my look DRAMATICALLY, I'd prefer to make that decision myself. Also, their scheduling setup is awful - you cannot make appointments. You can't request a specific stylist. The waitlist feature online doesn't work if there isn't a wait... but if 2 people come in before you arrive then it's a 45min wait. They'll eventually lose all their customers like the lost me. Either because of inconsistent wait-times, inconsistent haircuts, or both. read more

We drove 30 minutes to get in here. We arrived at 11 (when they opened) and the waitlist was 30 minutes so we decided to get lunch. We didnt check in because we didnt want to be rushed at lunch. 25 minutes later we decided to check in and the waitlist was now 3 hours!?! There is no haircut on earth worth a 3 hour wait and the fact that they dont take appointments is ridiculous. So basically they only clientele this works for is people who live across the street and can come at their beck n call. Or people who are ok sitting at an outdoor mall in 110° heat for 3 hours. Stopped into Tommy Gun's today and WOW this place is pretty cool. It's a 2020 version your dad's barbershop - TV's INSIDE the mirror in front of you while you're getting your haircut and a very inviting modern feel. I also like that they have product and razors for sale - all things grooming. Juli cut my hair and was awesome! They even offered me a beverage when I walked in! Most places ya go to make you feel like a number - they're just trying to fill seats and get your money. Tommy Gun's made me feel welcome and genuinely happy I chose them. Went in using their Facebook ad for a free haircut. I honestly expected a stuffy, expensive barber shop - but it was so far from that! Easily the best product wall I've ever seen in a barber shop - huge selection of great products. Stephanie cut my hair, and it was a great experience. She was kind and courteous, and did a fantastic job with my fade and comb-over. The included shampoo/conditioner was a great touch, and her scalp massage was wonderfully relaxing. I'm a regular at Tommy guns I went for a haircut and a shave today and was extremely dissatisfied the haircut was OK the shave took a very long time. he shaved me twice with a razor and then finished off with an electric razor (I did not pay for an electric razor shave) and I still have stubble very disappointing and expensive. read more

My son needed a haircut and all the other local barbershops were crowded. Saw this place on my way home so we decided to give it a try. The shop was very nice and staff was friendly. It was empty but the place just opened 4 days ago. They offered me something to drink and there were televisions with various games on. Overall my son's haircut was great. Every haircut comes with a wash which none of the other barbershops offer in the area so that was a plus. They don't take appointments but if you download their app you can put your name on the list -this is convenient especially on the weekend because all the other barbershops in Gilbert are mostly Walk-in and it can take an about 2 hours until it's your turn. I've been coming here since they first opened and have had pretty good luck. I've also spent a fortune on their hair products in-store. I found a stylist I liked named Chris and he has always worn a mask previously when I've come in for a haircut. Well, I came in today for a cut and the owner Nicole Kopp rudely informed me that "Chris will not be wearing a mask" when cutting my hair. I asked why and she said because he doesn't want to and if I don't like it that's too bad. I turned around and walked out and will never come back here again. I'll also spread the word to friends and family in the area to not go here anymore. I don't think it's unreasonable for me to ask someone who will be performing a service on my body to wear a mask during a time when the new Covid variant is spreading like wildfire. Shame on Chris and on the owner Nicole. This place is always dead and I'll give them another 6 months before they fold anyways - especially with the kind of rude service received from the owner. read more
