The seat yourself resulted in a delay in service, we had to get up and ask for assistance. After we were assigned a person it was pretty smooth sailing. (See Fish section below) Apps: We ordered the - Cheese Curds (which were like garlic cheese bites) & - Fried Green Tomatoes for appetizers. Cheese curds were unique and served with marinara. Pretty good! (Btw: Not the full order, they were really good and I almost forgot to take pics) The fried green tomatoes were served with ranch. Wings: We tried the -Spicy Bourbon, Salt & Vinegar, Lemon-Yalu, and Sweet Heat Chili. Spicy Bourbon had a sophisticated taste, great pairing for a date night vibe. Salt & Vinegar was okay, I wasn't a huge fan of it on a wing but love it on chips. Still would recommend for true salt and Vinegar lovers to try (I'm not one). Lemon-Yaki (Lemon-Pepper and Teriyaki) was delicious! Two flavors I love, one well crafted wing! Heaven! Sweet Heat Chili was recommended by a fellow Yelper. I like the taste but was too hot for me. I like spicy but this flavor was a lot more than I expected. Fish Plate - 2pc: Simply put, we weren't a fan! It's catfish which has an acquired taste that we weren't fond of. The hush puppies weren't a huge hit with us either. My recommendation, don't risk it .... Get the wings! Fries: Didn't like them. No salt. Service was great! We had a very nice waitress that advocated on our behalf to help with the dish we didn't enjoy. I highly recommend for those looking for a family of wing-lovers or even Hot Wing date night! Update: Out of the three people that went with me, I was the only one that "spit out" the fish after tasting it. They have both experienced sickness over night with it coming back up. The pork was good but the brisket was amazing. Brisket is amazing when done right and this was done very right. Full of flavor and moist and juicy. AMAZING. You have three different sauces you can try. They are at the tables. Hot, regular and mustard based. All had great flavor and the hot wasn't real hot. As sides we had the Brunswick stew, Mac and Cheese and cheesy hash browns. The Brunswick stew is less chunky and more fine. The flavor was good. The Mac and cheese was very creamy in a white cheese sauce. It was really good. The hash browns were full of flavor. I would definitely order the Mac and cheese and hashbrowns again but probably would skip the Brunswick stew. Not that it wasn't good. I would just try other menu items first. Just FYI. No alcohol. There were also fresh fruits, nuts, honey, vegetables, dairy products and cakes. There are four areas you can eat. The main "restaurant" is small with only a few tables. Evidently it's a favorite of older local gentlemen to gather for an early breakfast. There is also the "Pig Sty," "The Chicken Coop" and the farmer's market area. Some of these can be cold in the winter and warm in the summer so dress accordingly. The farmer's market area is heated by a wood stove. The staff here are so friendly. It felt like we were visiting family. The food was good ole country food. The hubby and I each ordered the breakfast plate. I had coffee with my choice of several flavored creamers. If you pay in cash you get a discount. If you are in the area you should check it out. You can order from the breakfast or lunch menu.
