One of my coworkers, known by all as a "foodie," planned our team dinner at Tomodachi. Since we were a large group, we asked our server to select the most popular menu items for the table. We enjoyed a spread of sashimi, spicy edamame, and several varieties of sushi. My favorite sushi was the Tomodachi roll topped with tuna and avocado and filled with shrimp tempura. I especially liked that Tomodachi's rolls were substantially filled with seafood and not overloaded with rice. The edamame was my favorite part of the meal - the spicy, garlicky sauce was pungent in the best way possible. The seating area felt cramped - we were a large group squeezed into a corner table. On a positive note, we were well-taken care of by our server, and I liked how the ambiance felt unfussy. While the sushi tasted very fresh and high quality, the restaurant itself felt like a casual neighborhood spot.

I have been a regular customer here since the day they opened practically always superior quality fish great service my favorite chef Nobu always makes me something unique and name it after me. It's wonderful absolutely love it.

Lovely little WLV Sushi restaurant. Came in on a Sunday and it was incredibly busy, which is always a good sign. Ordered the standard rolls. The star of the show was the yellowtail by far. It was the perfect clean citrusy bite. All the fish was fresh. Service was friendly. I'm giving 4 stars only for the spacing of the tables and maybe adding a few more different rolls in the future. Overall pleasant experience.

My boyfriend and I have been here three times in a very short amount of time. Their sushi is very good. We both really like how the special rolls aren't drowned in sauce; sometimes that makes it seem like they're trying to hide lower quality fish. I really love their sesame salad dressing and the salmon especially is to die for (but I'm biased). I tend to get anxious in dim, loud restaurants but this restaurant has a great atmosphere. I actually feel quite relaxed and it's never overly loud. Even when it's busy, we are always quickly seated but I'm sure it helps that it's just the two of us as opposed to a family or larger party. Everything we've ordered so far has been delicious and accurate as well. The prices aren't terrible either. We will be back for sure!

I'm mad at myself for not making this my staple sushi spot sooner! My boyfriend took me here last week because I was craving sushi pieces and wanted to go my reg spot but he convinced me to come here and I am so glad I did! We sat at the sushi bar with the sushi chef Nobu and he whipped up the most delish rolls, the freshest sushi pieces, and amazing sides! The sushi pieces are good size and smooth like butter, no essence of fishiness which my boyfriend is extremely picky about. Overall, great pricing and nice cute location as well. Parking is super easy, in the same lot as Vons.

First time trying this place out, and it's pretty good for Westlake Village. They have a variety of rolls and I definitely need to come back to try more! The service was absolutely amazing, our waitress was so funny and bubbly, she absolutely made our night. Although located in a funny plaza where you would never expect a sushi restaurant, the moment you step inside is like you walk into a whole different city. Has a relaxing and low toned atmosphere, which I liked quite a lot, and the sushi was great, nothing to complain about but nothing to rave about. Pretty good for the area!

We decided to try a new sushi place last night. We arrived an hour before closing as it was the only sushi place that was open around the area past 9 PM because we don't like to arrive at restaurants less than 30 minutes before they close. We were seated quickly, and they brought us out water as soon as we got in. The establishment was very clean and the bathrooms were very spacious. We ordered calamari, shrimp, tempura, dynamite roll, because they were out of the BCR, and they said that was similar, and the Alaskan roll, which we thought was gonna be cooked salmon, but it was raw salmon on top and that's fine because it was very delicious. The sushi all tasted very fresh. We enjoyed our meal very much and when we're craving sushi late at night for dinner will definitely be popping in here again.

Man, was my sushi excellent! Kind server, delicious food, and a nice plum sake to top it off. Lobster roll was excellent, my Japanese scallops had a wonderfully almost smokey like taste with the sauce used on the 2 piece serving, and I had to have masago-- 2 different kinds! I also had the snow crab 2 piece sushi and they were insanely delicious as well. Used the wasabi as a glue to keep the crab on and it was really such a nice addition. Very pleased!

First time coming here, it's not so great the sushi rolls are filled with imitation crab. Which is the cheap way to have rolls in my opinion. The prices definitely don't match up the quality of the rolls or the quality of the fish. The service was good fast checked up on us. The place isn't that clean I felt.most likely won't return.

I have supported The Landing Sushi Bar & Grill for years. I order takeout several times a week,…read moredine in regularly, and have brought friends, family, and out-of-town guests here for countless celebrations. Unfortunately, after a series of repeated mistakes and an extremely unprofessional interaction, I will no longer be returning. Over the past few weeks, my orders have repeatedly been wrong. Most concerning was ordering a spicy tuna cut roll and discovering after taking a bite that it was actually a spicy scallop roll. That is not a small mistake. Serving the wrong seafood to a customer could create a serious allergy or food safety issue. I drove back to the restaurant to return the order and missed dinner with my family because of their mistake. Since then, the quality has continued to decline. One order was made so excessively spicy it was practically inedible. Another spicy tuna roll arrived filled mostly with cucumbers and low-quality tuna cuts that looked nothing like what has consistently been served in the past. Despite these ongoing issues, I remained polite and continued giving this restaurant opportunities to correct things because I have been a loyal customer for years. I never demanded free food. I simply expected accountability, consistency, and basic professionalism. The final straw happened today. I called to ask if a manager was available after previously being told one would contact me, which never happened. The employee who answered the phone placed me on hold and forgot to mute the line. I then overheard him say: "It's the guy again that always complains and never tips," followed by, "Should we comp his meal or what do we do?" First, speaking about any customer this way is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Second, I tip 25% every time I dine in. I do not believe customers should be criticized for not tipping on takeout orders, especially when those orders have repeatedly been incorrect. Restaurants make mistakes. What matters is how those mistakes are handled. Repeated order errors, no management follow-up, and openly mocking a long-time customer is unacceptable. This restaurant used to be one of our family favorites. It is disappointing to see how far the service and standards have fallen.
