I can't even tell you how many times I've bought 2 for $5 blueberry boxes to find out half it was just mushy and not fresh. A friend introduced me to this farm. Regardless of how far it was, for $1.50/lb, it was worth the drive. It was solely a U-pick blueberry farm so you start with empty buckets and then pay when you're done. The farm was well managed and it was super fun going through aisles and aisles of Dukes Blueberry. There was literally blueberries everywhere. I think I ended up being very aggressive and picky so I kept trying different batches from different trees to find the sweetest and plumpest one. **Pro tip: Try going further in the aisles I ended up getting about 5lbs worth of blueberries. They're great for freezing and saving throughout the year.

We stopped to pick some fresh peaches at #bellsorchard and surprisingly ran into the owner Loyd who gave us a tip on how to identify the ripe peaches. He was so helpful and friendly. Also sampled a few varieties of the peaches Redhaven , Frost, and Starfire which were so sweet and juicy. They grow a wide variety of other peaches specifically for canning, and baking. Also apples, pears and blueberries. Very family oriented!

It has saved us a tremendous amount on our grocery bill, to the point we don't go to the grocery store nearly as often as we used to. I was even able to freeze much of it, and able to use it over the course of the winter. We pick up our CSA near our home at a market style pickup - we get to pick our own produce out of the bins, make choices between certain vegetables, and even put unwanted produce in a trade bin for others or to trade. The quality is excellent, and so much better than anything you could get at a grocery store. I love that they send out a newsletter with the upcoming produce you will get - it gives you time to meal plan and buy ingredients for your upcoming share! If you're looking for a CSA in the Portland area, I can't recommend Love Farm Organics enough - I am actually finishing a winter CSA with another organic farm and it came nowhere near the quality of this, and I'm really looking forward to it starting up again soon!

They're a 4th-generation family farm and they're really lovely people. Their produce is excellent quality, they have pick-up spots all over the area and their site has lots of resources for nutritional info and recipes on preparing the things they grow. They've introduced me to things I've never seen and really widened my palate. Their produce is organic so it isn't polluted with poisonous pesticides and doesn't poison the soil or kill pollinators like bees and butterfiles, it's healthy and delicious and actually comes out to cost less than produce at the store by my house AND I know I'm supporting a local family farm and helping keep it there. You just really can't beat an organic family farm CSA membership and everyone should try one! They also offer some work exchange and take SNAP to make their produce available to as many people as possible.

Last call is 12:30pm The whole experience is pretty much self serve- clean buckets are plenty and boxes for raspberries. It does seem like you can bring your own buckets/containers as well. Wagons available as well. Three or so hand washing stations before and after you pick berries. Large area for blueberries, about 70 plus rows and they are marked so it can be easier to communicate with a group to meet at an area. Raspberries and marionberries are on the other side, smaller section but plenty as well. Beautiful color and not marked. Once done you go to the weigh station and everything is $1.75/pound. Once weighed and paid, there is a station to bag your own berries. Do like that this berry farm is open for a few days and then closed to allow for some rest for the berries and for more produce.
