I came here with a friend as part of Rhode Island Food Fights pizza month. We ate in the restaurant and got a piece of pizza each and split a slice of cake. The pizza felt sort of nostalgic. It had a thicker, crispier crust and a high cheese to sauce ratio. The chocolate cake slice was really good. It was rich and satisfying. It was better than the pizza, so if you're coming in, I'd recommend it. They also had some cookies, brownies, and cheese cake if chocolate isn't your thing. The woman at the counter was really funny and nice. It does seem like more of a take out spot than dine in, but there are a few tables, and some holiday decor. Decent place for their wings dinner, salad, steak and cheese sub. Their falafel needs help tho, not flavorful at all and very lacking. Mozzarella sticks are good, pizza is decent. Steak and cheese calzone is good too. Buffalo chicken pizza is the nightmare of lactose intolerants everywhere tho, very cheesy... I'm talking a few layers so be warned. It is very Buffalo-ey as well, so if you enjoy strong Buffalo flavors it's a go for you. I was very disappointed with the chicken sandwich burger. It was 2 chicken strips on a bun and they slapped toppings on it and called it a chicken sandwich. Better off going to Wendy's for a better chicken sandwich tbh. Second leg of today's RI Food Fights "Lord of the Pies" was Tom's Kitchen in North Providence. It's a cute little spot with a HUGE menu to seating ratio. They just started serving slices, so this was a way to test out the waters. Slices were hefty in size and weight. Pepperoni was cuppy, as God intended. It was good, New York style with a slightly off-putting sauce, a little too much cheese for me and a nice, golden brown crust. Overall a 5.0 score for the cheese pizza and 5.5 for the pepperoni. The garden salad with house made vinaigrette was an 8.5 , however and is a good reason to come here. There's a large menu, and I would give this business another shot on a sandwich based on everything I saw, smelled and ate. It's a nice little business with friendly people. Try it out. read more

Can't give a zero rating. Toms is good food at absorbate prices.$3.50 delivery charges, $1.00 card charges, lowest tip percentage is $18 percent. You can customize but most people don't know. . On advrage customer pay a minimum of $10.00 tip. Prices are high enough without extra charges. Other restaurants in my area delivered for free without a charge. I can understand the card fee. But will not accept a delivery charge. We all need to take a stand against price gouging and extra charges. It's not good business practices. read more

Their calzones are super super good and filling. This time I ordered fish and chips and it was ehhhhhh. The fish looked from a frozen pack and not much flavor. The fries were popping but the cole slaw was also ehhh. The veal pesto burger was pretty good. I love pesto so I love it on almost anything. We ordered a large Mediterranean pizza and really enjoyed it at home. There were plenty of toppings and they were nicely arranged throughout the pizza. Being that most palettes cannot handle much spice, they did not add much. However, once we added some garlic powder and some red pepper flakes, the pizza was PERFECT! Been ordering take-out from Tom's Kitchen for awhile now. The location is convenient for me and easily accessible to run in and out. Their food is so good, menu is wonderful, my favorites are the caprese wraps ( they have their own pesto dressing that I love), chicken fingers ( they give you not 3 or 4 but a ton like 12 big pieces) my son says they have the best chicken fingers out of all the places we have ordered from. Their fresh potato chips- i can't stop eating them. I don't like french fries in general, but I like theirs. I recently tried their burgers- sooo good with lettuce tomato pickles and cheddar- check out their many different burgers. Their salads are very good, fresh and a side salad is a good size. One quirky thing I don't like is they put the dressing in with the hot food so when you get home your blue cheese/ranch is warm- they should put it in a separate bag. They have all kinds of gourmet pizzas to your liking and I love the goat cheese on my pizza. They have healthy options on menu and their sweet potato fries very good. My husband likes their pasta dishes and portions are generous. They have dessert too but I have not tried yet! The staff is very prompt, your food is ready on time and hot, and they are friendly people. You can go in and sit for a quick lunch- they have a few seats inside but I love this place for take- out if you need to pick up lunch or dinner on your way home. read more

After receiving a menu in the mail my wife and I decided to order delivery. After ordering updates are sent to your phone which was a nice touch. I ordered a traditional white pizza that came delivered untouched like a work of art. The cheese was gooey and delicious and the crust was perfectly buttery and slightly sweet. My wife got an Italian wrap with homemade potato chips. The wrap was perfectly assembled securely with fresh meats and vegetables and the chips were awesome. Well done and light on the salt. She loved them. The best part was how fast it was delivered. It shocked me and I said I didn't expect the food so fast (A half hour earlier than I was told) to which the driver stated he could drive around and come back. Extremely disappointed is all I can say! I was hoping to like this place as it's close to my apartment and I saw a couple pictures online of some previous orders so I figured it be worth giving a try. Ordered the small thin crust meat pizza and a small garden salad which boasts it comes with a homemade vinaigrette and I added the "imported" feta cheese. Sadly when the delivery man came neither were included with my salad! Sucks cause I paid extra for the feta. I did like the salad had kalamata olives, would of been nice to have pitted ones but just a preference. The vegetables were fresh and you could tell hand cut in store nice to not get a bag salad. But then I tried the pizza at first sight didn't really look like the one I had saw online, the only meat I noticed was sausage and some hamburger. The bacon and pepperoni were non existent. Pizza was bland and not crispy at all. I turned it over to see it was undercooked. The dough appears to be pre made which is a pet peeve of mine why have a pizza place and not use fresh dough. Called to complain and get the right pizza and we get a kid that knows the owner will not pick up the phone so he is giggling. Told we have to return the wrong pizza and they will send a new one. Never offered a coupon or a comp. Third time this has happened. Owner never picks up, says he is too busy to take our complaint. The manager is terrible at customer service. Unordered delivery thru GrubHub and acknowledge up front that it's a small snapshot. I'll update my review after trying again. I had the Jalepeno Poppers, which were pretty good. Seven small peppers with a little heat were stuffed with cream cheese and deep friend, served with a side of Ranch dressing. I also had the Falafel Wrap, which came with homemade chips. The wrap was packed with lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickles - all very fresh. However, it overpowered the flavors of the falafel and tahini sauce, so much that I doubted their presence. Overall, it was a little dry, again leading me to believe they'd forgotten the tahini sauce. The falafel was undetectable as well. I used what was left of the ranch dressing to make it palatable. The homemade chips were very good, despite being barely warm - the result of delivery. Based on a single delivery experience, I won't rule out another try. But I wasn't terribly impressed. read more

This is probably my worst food delivery experience. My wife order chicken Caesar wrap no tomato I order steak and cheese sandwich and an order of buffalo tender. It was $34 for the 3 items didn't make sense to me but it's what it is, in the Caesar wrap it was literally 2 tiny pieces of chicken my steak was loaded with sal and the chicken tenders were so over cooked. The thin crust was just okay....it seemed more like a frozen pre-made crust rather than fresh/homemade, which was really disappointing. Also, it was quite expensive compared with other local pizza joints. Would I order from here again? Depending upon what else was available at time, I might. I used to order from this place when it was Golden Crust. When I saw it was changing, and saw the new menu, I was really excited to try it. I actually, for the first time in my life, wasn't disappointed by a business change in a place that has deliver food. It was goddamn delicious. Best burger I've had in a while, and sweet potato fries, woohoo! The spinach salad we got was incredible too. Can't wait to try everything else.
