I was so happy to find someone competent to repair a marine anchor/thruster remote that was damaged by water (or battery being left in too long). He explained what would happen and quoted a great price. He warned me he couldnt guarantee it before he started (as I couldnt bring the boat in). I made the decision for him to solder the unit. Extremely unprofessional and a scam artist. We had an lcd monitor that had a cracked screen. When calling, the staff member sounded like she may not have known what planet she was on. She just said she wasn't sure what they could do, or how much it would cost to fix it. I had a colleague bring in the monitor. She charged him $48 as a "deposit". He was told that it would go toward the price of the repair however; was NOT told that it was non-refundable, which by the way, it is. When I asked the gentleman about it the next day, his response was "I don't work for free". I guess good business practice just simply doesn't exist with this scam artist. As a business owner, if someone is unhappy with my services, I make sure they are happy. Even if I lose money in the process. The only way I'm going to establish business, is if I have the rapport with people to do so. If I have a repuation for being a rip off, I'm not going to be open for very long. I'm simply trying to save other people money here. This company wants ONLY your money, and not your business. He does NOT care about customers. He is in business for the wrong reason. In the end, he wanted to charge us $440 to repair a monitor that costs $156 new on Amazon. PLEASE, do yourself a favor and stay FAR away from this business. read more

Horrible experience went in with a cracked computer monitor paid for the 40$ deposit so that they could give us an estimate on what it would cost. Absolutely horrid experience. TV went on the fritz and called manufacturer. Turns out the problem is well known and repair is covered. Manufacturer dispatched Tom's TV for in-home repair. Tom's repairman showed up and was rude, condescending and abusive. I generally knew what the fix was (google search) and just for conversation I mentioned I saw on the internet that this TV had a well known problem and asked if he had been doing a lot of them. He looks over his shoulder and rudely says "did the internet tell you you could be killed doing this work", "does the internet give you a guarentee". Since the manufacturer told me that they only would cover a board repair and not a replacement I politely asked what his repair consisted of. He responded even more angerly "I don't know what you are talking about" and "are you challenging me? I've been doing this line of work since I was 5 and don't need advice". Out of curiosity I checked Google+ reviews and there is another almost identical complaint. It is unfathomable that this place is still in business. I plan on contacting the manufacturer and passing on my (and the other experience) with this place. I doubt a manufacturer would want to have their reputation sullied by an authorized agent. read more

"Steve soddered on the power board after saying that it tested fine and then the tv would no longer shut off with the power button, even though I told him I did not want him to do that because he could damage something. Our large tv had no picture or sound with flashing green light which troubleshooting guide points to main board needing replacement. Steve said he would replace this board for $155 labor and cost of part. The manufacturer told me they had the part. He refused to order the part and then come out and replace it (even though I offered to pay for this part IN ADVANCE and keep it if that was not the problem) saying he wanted to come out first to verify this. I said then that he would have to make two trips for this price, and he said that he would do that for the same price. He comes without the part, damaged the power board, wants to TAKE the main board AND the power board and its housing WITH HIM, then demands money without accomplishing anything. When I said he could not take anything with him, and I refuse to pay until he returns with the replacement main board, he then refused to come back. So now besides needing a main board replacement, it now needs a power board replacement also. read more
