Tony K's is a local suburban (Berea) sports bar. My parents invited me for lunch here. They visited this bar a few times and love it! Sports bars aren't my scene, but I really loved it too! AMBIANCE: We stopped in during the college football weekend. We opted to sit at a booth in the sports bar area. It was very rowdy and festive! My family mentioned that usually the bar was more quiet during their previous few visits. The guests seemed like regulars, all in good spirits, in Ohio state attire, and with beer buckets. It was a very celebratory day with Ohio chants! The sports bar is surprisingly spacious. There is a bar area for sports fans, quiet dining area for families, and separate event room. This separation caters to many occasions and clients. I loved the idea of various vibes and noise levels. The focal point, sports bar area, has TV's lining the walls, CLE decor, bar seating, tables, and comfy booths. FOOD/DRINKS: Food menu is extensive, actually there are four or five menus including seasonal and football specials. There are also daily specials. Don't expect average bar food, the food is seriously delicious! Great prices for the quality and portions! We ordered Gold BBQ wings that were so flavorful and delicious. Great value at 6 wings for $7 for CLE Wing Week. We also ordered multiple London Broils ($18.99 each), which is a weekend special. London Broil was perfectly hearty. It includes a generous serving of grilled marinated steak strips, homemade mashed potatoes with gravy, and veggies. The meat was cooked to perfection and very generous serving. The potatoes were with a bit of skin and truly made in house. I'm not a big gravy person but the thick and flavorful gravy was so good! I could eat these London Broils every weekend especially in colder months. London Broils sometimes run out at the end of the weekend, so check in before you go. Drink menu was extensive. I was sipping water, my mom tried Touchdown Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary was football day special. We were all surprised that for $5 the drink came with bacon, celery, and an onion ring toppings. My mom described the drink as perfectly spicy. SERVICE: I was impressed with the service considering the crowd. Our waitress was so attentive and pleasant. It's rare to have such good service. I was very pleasantly surprised. PARKING: Large private parking lot is available. It wraps around the building. Our entire experience here was great! This is our go to place for a decent dinner that is reasonably priced. They have daily specials and every Sunday is a full rack of ribs with choice of side. My husband loves it! Just look at the pictures, very meaty. He quickly asked for a to go box to put half away. I love the bacon pizza, I don't think it's on the menu, I ask for it that way. Our favorite server is Sue, she wasn't in today. We were served by someone else and she did an excellent job. I think she manages booking the rooms for parties. It's a bar, at times it will be a little too noisy. That's to be expected and it's just the vibe. 5 stars due to Excellent Service, Great Food, Goof Value. read more

I usually go on Thursdays when they have the Chicken Paprikash special, and it's absolutely delicious. I love everything about it, and the serving size is huge, which means I get some tasty leftovers--yay for me! I've also tried the ribs, which are a fantastic Sunday special. For $20.99, you get a full slab, coleslaw, and a side dish. I'm not sure how they keep the price so low, but I'm certainly glad they do. There is plenty of parking available. I typically sit in the bar area, although there are other seating options. They also have live music that I can hear when the servers go in and out between the two areas. I've experienced great service twice, but once the service wasn't so good. That last experience caused me to take off a star in my rating. However, to be honest, I would give this place 4.5 stars if that were possible. I'll definitely return since it's close to where I live, and the Chicken Paprikash has me hooked! read more

Food has really gone down hill. I had the grilled shrimp and it was not even grilled. I came back a couple weeks later and ordered stuffed peppers. The peppers were not cooked and the cheese was not melted. The kitchen has become very lazy. read more

First of all, I had to wait 32 minutes to get my to go order of two gyros. If I hadn't already paid, I would have left. Bread was soft, the meat was delicious, way too much sauce, tomato and onion almost non existent and someone should have tossed the lettuce two days ago. Went to Tony K's for dinner tonight (Valentine's Day) because I really wanted a heart shaped pizza. We arrived at 6:33pm and shortly after an elderly couple (both with canes) came along and waited with us - I don't recall anywhere in the lobby to sit and wait, but since the restaurant was practically empty, it was no big deal. The 4 of us waited in the lobby for about 2 minutes when a hostess came around and immediately asked us how many - I then asked her to seat the elderly couple first. About a minute later the hostess came back, and answered a ringing phone. With her back turned to us, and long fingernails tapping on a computer screen, I assumed she was taking a to go order. A few minutes later she turned around and walked us into the bar area. I was shocked at how bright the lighting in the bar was - it was super harsh!!!! After sitting at our table 5-6 an employee asked us if we were being help, I said no, then about 3 minutes after that we finally had a server come by. She proceeded to take our drink order (good thing I saw the special Valentine's Day menus on Instagram because we were but given them at our table, so we had to order off our phones.) We both ordered the Berry Me Mule - and it was SUPER DUPER DELICIOUS!!! We also ordered the crispy brussel sprouts - which were delicious, but I would never describe them as crispy. Then for our entrees we both ordered 10" heart shaped pizzas - my husband ordered the Hawaiian - which he loved. I order the pepperoni for ($1.99 extra) and as cute as it was to take the pepperoni and shape 2 into hearts, 1 as an "X" and another's as an "O" - I would have rather actually had pepperoni on my pizza besides the super see- through 7 pieces of scrap pepperoni. If I'm paying $1.99 to add pepperoni - I want pepperoni - (so you might want to bring your own). Also - I did kind chuckle at the shape of the heart shaped pizzas- but oh well the "essence of a heart was there". Maybe a 3 is too harsh - but I don't feel like they quite earned a 4. (I was also irritated at the "convenience fee" added to the bill - I feel like if a restaurant cannot afford the processing fees of accepting credit cards, then they should be CASH ONLY, this is the cost of running the business and the customer should not have to pay for this. read more

We stopped in on a weeknight. Quite busy and we were seated off the main room. Service was quick and courteous throughout our visit. We each tried a burger. Both we're juicy and cooked to our preference. Delicious and on special m: burger and fries or tots for $7. Nice. She had a moscato and I had a draft. Decent beer list with several choices. Ripped off - thieves ! My bill came and a "convenience fee" was added. I was told that was for credit card transactions. When I paid cash, the convenience fee was still charged. Also, I received no change as they rounded it up in their favor to only give bills for change. When I complained, I had to go talk to the manager. She came to our table, never greeted us or told us her name and said what do you want to drink. Took drink orders for 2 of us but didn't offer our child a drink. We asked for a child's cup with a lid so we could share our drink with him. She never came back so we went to the bar and asked for one. Someone else served our food and said our waitress would be back for drink refills. The waitress came and dropped silverware, napkins and ketchup on the table without a word. I was just there Saturday and they had a special Valentine's Day menu. I ordered the linguine with scallops and I was immensely impressed by the quantity and the taste. This was by far the best linguine and scallops I ever had. I am in the 70s and believe you me, I've went to a lot of Italian restaurants in my lifetime this dish was phenomenal. We were very disappointed! I called 2 days ahead to make reservations for a party of 18 on Friday June 12th for dinner at 7:30 after my Mother's visiting hours at the funeral home. They seated us in the dinning room, but it was like we weren't even there. We waited a half an hour for our drinks, and hour later they brought the 3 children's orders that we ordered with the drinks. It was a full hour an a half for our meals to come. So at 9:00 some of us finally got to eat, others had to wait another 15 minutes for their food. Salads and appetizers came out with the entrees. We gobbled down the food, and took most of it home in boxes. Everyone was tired and cranky and it was an overall bad experience. I never thought a restaurant would ignore customers the way were, especially since our bill was well over $400. No one even apologized for the slow service. We went there because it was convenient to my Mother's house and we took her there often and had good food & good service. I wish they would have told us they didn't have the help to take care of us on a Friday night and the service would be so slow, we would gone somewhere else instead. read more

We have only had delicious food at Tony Kay's. We love sitting outside in the patio when it's not raining. Service is fair.

Hosting a fundraiser, or a birthday party, watching the game or looking for the perfect patio...look no further than Tony K's. I can't count the number of times we have been to Tony K's but I know that each time it was great food, and even better service...I guess that's what keeps us coming back. The party room off the patio is a great space to host an event, plenty of tables and chairs with a dedicated bar and bathrooms is perfect. You can utilize the patio if you need to expend. The back bar is the perfect spot to watch a game and enjoy a fish fry, well that's my opinion at least. If you are looking for a quieter dining space, you can sit in the main dining room where it isn't so loud. The food is great, the menu is huge and the beer selection is awesome, craft local and plenty of drafts to choose from. Clearly this time around we opted for heavy appetizers and desserts, yes dessert at the local sports bar! While you think it's just bar food, I agree, but it's not too heavy or greasy, you can get huge salads, soup, burgers, wraps or a full fish fry. So if you are in Berea head over to Tony Ks, you will not be disappointed. read more

Went to brunch on Mother's day. It was terrible. I haven't been to this place for over ten years and I now remember why. It tasted like institutional food. It was like having brunch at a nursing home. The eggs were wet ,not uncooked , wet with water. Sausage was deep fried and oily. French toast sticks were like jerky, not even real maple syrup. Even the desserts were horrible. Service was subpar and it was approximately $45 per person. No shame. It's as if nobody tasted anything that was served. read more

We had the worst experience last night. There were 14 of us. We did have a reservation so they knew we were coming. We waited over two hours for our food. My smash burger when it finally came was bloody. I asked for medium well. Another in our party's burger was so overcooked it was like a hockey puck he said. We had a very nice young waitress that was trying to do her best. She said they ran out of silverware!!! She gave us plastic silverware to use for dessert. Our dirty dishes sat on the table so long. First of all, the patio here is huge! Lots of screens, so I'm sure this is a great spot for watching the game. I tried some Mediterranean food. It was decent, but I've had much better elsewhere.
