We've been loyal customers at Tony's Pizza & Pour House for the past two years. The food is consistently good, and most of the staff have always been friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was so disappointing that it has us rethinking whether we'll ever return. We placed what we thought was a normal online pickup order through tonyspizzapourhouse.com. The order went through, only to confirm for the following day -- which made no sense until we realized the restaurant is closed on Mondays. I tried calling the only number listed on the website (the restaurant's direct line), but the voicemail was full. When I finally reached someone the next day, I was told the order had already been made and I'd need to speak with Tony. That's when the real issue started. Tony immediately distanced himself, saying the website isn't his, that it's run by a third party (Slice), and that it was "not his problem." He flat-out told me I should have googled Slice myself if I wanted help. When I pointed out that his restaurant's name, phone number, and information are all over the website, he dismissed it and made it clear I should not expect a refund. This is not how you treat customers. Whether or not a third party is involved, it's Tony's restaurant name on that website, his phone number listed, and his customers being misled. Passing the blame and refusing to take accountability is unacceptable. After years of supporting this place, it's sad to say we'll be taking our business elsewhere. Great food only goes so far when the owner makes it clear that customer service is "not his concern." read more

Pizza buffet is Tue-Sun 11AM-3PM $15+tax and had five different pizzas that were all very good with no skimping on ingredients. For those that drink, bar had a wide selection. Plenty indoor seating and some outdoor too which was nice. Service was very friendly and went beyond expectations. Tony's used to be on the corner of 199-Confederate Park Rd, so he moved west a 1/4mi on 199 to this new location which has a more relaxing atmosphere than the previous fast food place. read more

Let's get 1 thing straight... I got served!!! This is a new-ish Italian restaurant and bar on the east-bound side of Hwy 199 off the Nine Mile Bridge Rd exit. Plenty parking here! When we arrived at about 5 pm on a Friday. There were only a few tables filled and mostly people were at the bar. There was music playing and the place is well lit, clean, and friendly. We first sat too close to the speakers and I moved to another spot. The waitstaff were very nice and turned it down a little. I really appreciated that they went the extra step for me. Now, I don't want you to think this place is fancy dining- It is good simple Italian food with homey, rustic charm + drinks and sometimes live music. Everyone we talked to was very friendly and helpful. The decor is interesting. There are some barrels with tables on them, along with regular tables for the more traditional types. Also a large high top table, so various styles for all occasions. We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer. Very crunchy with just the right amount of cheese. Veg on the side so nothing gets soggy! Quite good! We ordered drinks- My lovely bride ordered a margarita and I had a salt-rimmed glass of beer with lime slices. I ordered a stromboli and my wife ordered the tour of Italy. I thought it was very good. We couldn't eat it all and the waitress boxed it up for us. We will come here again soon! read more

Hidden Gem of a place, for sure! We went to Tony's to watch some live music. I wasn't expecting much from a "pizza place" but boy was I suprised! The place is just off a busy Hwy, nestled in between some shady looking businesses but don't let that stop you from pulling in! The inside of Tony's is so. freaking. cute! There is a bar area that serves real drinks, not just beer. The prices are great (like a $6 Tito's and soda not a crazy $10-12 price tag some restaurants put on their basic drinks), tables, and a couple of couches tucked into a sitting area. We also took a look at the outside seating and whew! We are definitely coming back when the em weather gets nicer! I hadn't really planned on dinner but it smelled so good in there we went ahead and ordered. We were given garlic knots when we first sat down. Yummy, pillowy soft bread covered in butter and garlic and served with more butter. Yeah, those disappeared fast! Ha! We followed that up with some crispy calamari rings and warm marinara. Yum yum yum. Crispy, lightly seasoned, served with a lemon wedge, and the aforementioned warm marinara on the side. Delicious! My bf then took a trip to the soup/salad bar and seemed pleased with what he played. I wouldn't know because I blinked and it was gone :-) I'm not much of a pizza fan but our friends ordered a pepperoni pizza and it looked and smelled amazing so I decided to bring a pizza home to my kiddos. Now came the hard part. There are a couple of great sounding toppings Tony's has put together on their menu. I decided to keep it simple and go for a cheese and mushroom pizza. It was heaven! Thin but not not too thin that it couldn't stand up to the cheese and toppings. The best part was the sauce to crust/topping ratio. This is why I usually don't care for pizza. I dislike a sloppy layer of sauce but Tony's got it right. A perfect amount of not sweet sauce! I actually had two pieces and that is something that hasn't happened in a long time (probably since the calendar year showed 19 and not 20 as the first two digits!). Also, a shout out to our server! Update: This is how they handle criticism... "I checked the cameras and look like everything was going great... You stayed there for several hours ... What do you think we can do for you kiss your ass? ???" I don't know who the owner was watching, but my wife and I were there for less than an hour. We sat at a table, virtually ignored. We had to get the owner to track down the server (who was very busy in the kitchen) to get our very overpriced bill. The Pizza Hut just down the 199 in Azle is way better (and I don't like chain pizza places) We definitely won't be back, now. With this level of customer service, there are many more choices in the area. I have half a mind to list them all. read more

We love grabbing pizza for dinner but today we visited the lunch buffet and was so good! They had a 5 pizzas out but said if you wanted anything that it could be made! That was absolutely wonderful I ordered the Hawaiian and it was really great! It's a nice quiet and friendly staff. I wanted to leave a review for this sweet restaurant. My son had a dinner there with his high school for his soccer team. First off, my son is a pizza SNOB , and he came home RAVING about the pizza . He asked me to take him back at some point because he absolutely LOVED the pizza. Thats huge because very rarely does he . Secondly, his team was outside playing soccer after eating and he put his favorite hoodie down ... and then forgot it . Not only was everyone i talked to when i called incredibly sweet and kind but when i went in to grab said hoodie the bartender was also so sweet . So definitely a double win . We just moved to texas and honestly 80% of people we come in contact with are rude, and just not nice and it was so refreshing to meet and support a business where there are kind, outgoing and also serve AMAZING pizza. Great start to our visit. Jenny and Alysa were awesome. Drinks and appetizers were great. we were asked to cash out due to Alysa clocking out. From 3-3:30 we were waiting to order entrees. Finally a girl approaches and we asked if she was our server. She said she clocked in at 3. She sat on the freezer and ate fruit and potato chips for the first 30 minutes of her shift. Several staff just walked by and made eye contact with us including the owner, but no one said a word, so we left. Different place, same good food and atmosphere. Just ate at Tony's tonight. They just opened on Tuesday 3/5/24 with a slightly different menu. The food we had was good and being they just opened the service was good. This place was a staple for us when they were at the other location. Now that they are at the new location we will be coming back. To add to their service, they now have a bar so they have more than just bear and wine.
