Chicken fried chicken was huge portion with good cream gravy. Chicken fried steak with fried okra and mashed potatoes was good. Also ordered chicken fettuccine with blackened chicken that was ok not great. The absolute best part was the mixed vegetable medley! I will come back again and order just veggies and mashed potatoes. Stepped into this place for the first time. The vibe was definitely down home and casual. The service was incredibly good. Our food was very good and the burger was just a tad over cooked. However the desserts are spectacular. The German chocolate cake had a great sponge and was really flavorful. They waitresses also gave us a sample of the strawberry shortcake and it was the surprise of the day for favorites. read more

The people are always so friendly and accommodating. I love love, love their hamburgers. They come with fresh toppings. The bun is freaking amazing, and the french fries are exactly how I like them crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I haven't had a lot of other things because I'm always getting a hamburger because it's so good. But when I've gone with others, they've had other things and they liked what they had. Criminally underrated restaurant not just in Azle but DFW/surrounding areas. Top 2 restaurant steaks I've ever had (not exaggerating). Very consistent and always cooked perfectly rare as ordered. The mashed potatoes are so fluffy and whipped, their brown gravy is homemade and flavorful, hamburger steak is huge. Other favorites are the chicken fried steak hand breaded to order and the spaghetti and meatballs. Service is incredible always and turnaround times very quick. Took us about a year after moving here to stop in and I regret missing out for so long. It's a weekly must have and underpriced for the quality. read more

Creekside grill is more like a casual steakhouse in the suburbs of the suburbs than a grill. A few miles south of Azle, right on FM 730 S. The food was pretty good and if I am out that way, I might stop in again. Parking was plentiful even though the place was pretty busy. My lovely bride and I both ordered steak. Mine was a flat iron steak and she had a sirloin. Not sure why, but everywhere I go the food seems to be about two minutes from how I want it to be cooked ‍. It was just a bit rare but still delicious. The small caesar salad I ordered was indeed small- order the large if you are hungry. The mashed potatoes might have been cooked and held a little too long, but the flavor was good. It was super dark in there! Maybe they were trying to set the mood, but I am old and blind, so I need the light to see. All in all it was good. No real surprises, but pretty solid food if you are in this area. read more

We found this little place by mistake and were glad we did!! The interior is clean and spacious with a western decor. The server was very friendly and took great care of us. I saw someone order a cheeseburger and it looked DAMN GOOD, but my wife said I need to eat something green and leafy once in a while so I ordered a cobb salad with grilled chicken. The salad was huge and had lots of good toppings...eggs, bacon, fresh avocado, tomatoes, etc. It was really good and I'll definitely be going back to try a burger. read more

You can get a table very fast if you are a regular. Otherwise, plan to wait while tables sit empty "reserved" for those who eat there on certain nights of the week. The tables are really close to each other too. Good food though! read more

I ordered the lobster ravioli which is not something I've had before and they gave me 4 pieces of ravioli for $17. It was ridiculous and now worth the price. I went in to talk to the manager and she gave me an attitude, stating that that's how they lobster ravioli comes regardless of the lunch or dinner special. I will never go back to this place as it isn't worth the price and the service is terrible. The food was disgusting as well, I ordered the lemon butter chicken and it tasted salty and tasteless. There was no flavor to the food at all. Complete waste of my time!! I don't know how this place is in business. read more

Finally was able to go and try this restaurant. Customer service was great and we were seated fast even on a busy Friday night. Lots of regulars were greeting each other. Onion rings were cooked perfectly, tomato basil soup was good, and tortellini was tasty. I chose the vodka sauce instead of Alfredo and enjoyed it. We definitely will be back.
