Driving by the location , the entire parking lot was full. I got excited thinking this must be good. Boy were we disappointed. It has the look of an old time cafe, which I love. We were there during breakfast time so I'm only critiquing the breakfast but never again. I had 2 eggs over medium with under cooked hashbrowns and over done sausage patties. One cold biscuit with white gravy that definitely came out of a packet. Food taste more like I was back in college eating at the cafeteria dorm. College is where I learn to add Tabasco to my food for flavor and unfortunately, I had to do the same to this. And whatever you get, do not ask for a pancake that was the worst pancake I've ever had in my life. How do you destroy a pancake? I have no idea, but it was extremely hard and extremely sweet without the syrup. read more

It's a greasy spoon diner! What's not to love. The waitstaff is attentive and fast. The coffee comes hot and never runs out. The food is great. I've been many times and have always enjoyed breakfast here. Also. Be sure to get a cinnamon roll.......they melt a pad of butter on top....it's...literally amazing. Anyway. Back to the review. If your looking for an awesome breakfast, you can't go wrong. It does get busy in the morning, but never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table. First of all this place is so amazing it's a little gem and a little town. This is me and my best friends go to place in the mornings the breakfast is amazing but today I had the "non-traditional club sandwich" so amazing bacon was crispy, the ham and turkey complemented the whole sandwich i recommend this sandwich. My whole life I've loved breakfast food, and I never understood why. This cafe reminded me exactly why. I had the simplest meal consisting of fried eggs, hash browns, bacon and buttermilk pancakes, but it was the best breakfast I have had in a long time. I've been here before and thought I left a review, but I guess not.... I wanted breakfast so I drove the 20 minutes to try this place and it was well worth it... This was there biggest combo and after tax it was only $14. I got 3 eggs, smoked sausage, potatoes, and 2 pancakes. Let's start with the basic stuff. The eggs were cooked perfectly, but they're eggs so not much more could be done for over medium eggs. The meat choice I selected was the sausage, and instead of hashbrowns I got the potatoes. The potatoes are tasty and I didn't realize the smoked sausage would come with BBQ sauce, but those were quite tasty. The crazy part was the pancakes. Yes, I paid the extra dollar for chocolate chips in them, but they were massive and tasted very good. They were as big as the container they were in, and about 1/4 inch thick, as opposed to the thin pancakes you get everywhere. Overall all of this food for $14 is a really good deal and the other prices were exceptional as well. read more

The inside isn't super big and it's been very busy every time we've gone, but we've never had to wait more than about 5 mins for a table. I love ordering coffee here...they will bring you a full container of creamer! You don't get 3 tiny single servings, I mean, they bring you one like you'd buy at the grocery store LOL It doesn't get better than that! We've ordered a wide variety of breakfast items. Their biscuits are SO good. I love their scrambler which I get with breakfast sausage with cheese added with a biscuit and gravy. It's a lot of food and for only $7.99 - this would cost almost double somewhere else. Hubs loves the chicken fried steak and eggs. Cute but in a strip mall thing in a so so neighborhood. Wait staff is very nice and sweet and they offer half portions which is great! Salsa could've been better but the biscuits were perfect. We have been in Fort Worth for a week and this was the best food we had here. The cat fish "was like butter," according to my husband. The turnip greens and Mac and cheese sides were perfect, well seasoned with good portions. My son had the classic burger which was better then most diner burgers. It was close to an inch thick. Though he normally clears most plates it was too much food for him to finish. I got the chicken and dumplings which were delicious and just what I was looking for. They tasted exactly as dumplings should and the cornbread on the side was a perfect accompaniment. Finally, when the bill came it was a delightful surprise, wonderful food for a great price. I should have known when the description said there were 12 spices in the meat. No burger needs that many spices and it was honestly off putting. The fries were decent so those got polished off.
