My hubby heard great things. It was "meh". They have steak but don't offer steak fajitas...... Chicken was a little over cooked, and the rice had ZERO flavor. Also- they gave me a DOLLOP of sour cream for 3 tortillas. I also agreed that if you have a business don't skimp of the important things-! STREET CORN HAS CHAR!!!!!! It should NEVER be canned corn- I mean, c'mon. But he did say it was decent. He ordered the Sunday special- and he didn't like it, at all.... He said the meat was all fat- No meat in it. I don't say this lightly when I say that this is the best Mexican food I've ever had in the Midwest. Authentic and consistently amazing. The chips and salsa are out of this world. The michelada is spicy and delicious. The birria consommé is tender and served with fresh cilantro, onions and lime. Perfect balance of savory and fresh ingredients. Bland, greasy, disappointing tacos. I ordered the Carne Asada to-go, and specified three times that I wanted diced onions not grilled. They gave me grilled. Not a big deal, until I realized the tortillas are soaked in oil. The meat was flavorless and dry, and the cilantro old, dark, and wilted. It was a soggy, heavy, greasy taco of disappointment. Pretty good stuff here! I like that they offer more cocktails, besides JUST margaritas! I had the peach flavored margarita and it was quite tasty. Would love to try the Paloma next time... What I did like about this place is that there were items on the menu that I'd never seen on a Mexican restaurant's menu before (and I've seen a LOT of Mexican restaurants' menus!). Flavor punch!!! They had me at Asada Arrachera (skirt steak) Fries!! Get to this place now! Everything is so good!! Service is great! The menu is smaller but I love that about them so they concentrate on making fewer things really well then having too many things to offer that are just okay. The inside is clean with really great music. The do have an outdoor eating area with a good size parking lot. They have a full bar area with a range of cocktails and beers. Prices are really good as well. It is a weird little drive to get back there to it through some strange lots but once you do Tony's will be your new favorite Mexican place! read more

Stopped by for dinner after a few work friends recommended eating here. We moved to Belleville from San Antonio and have found finding consistent good Mexican food to be hit or miss. Was expecting more. Went there for dinner and was not impressed. The staff are great, but the food needs some work. The salsa was pretty bad. Wish it was more like salsa and less like whatever they served us. We had fajitas and a stuffed burrito. The food lacks taste, has too much chicken and needs more flavor.
