Overall very pleasant experience working with Tony's Appliances. They came highly recommended for our dryer that had been causing us issues for several months. They were able to diagnose and fix it in 1 day which was great and was even willing to work with some extenuating circumstances. Tony fixed our fridge 2 years ago and saved us a heap of money. It's still doing fine. Yesterday he came out and fixed 2 problems with our old washer/dryer combo. That also has likely saved us from having to buy a new set. He seems to know appliances inside and out. Be aware however, he is not cheap. He was at our place for maybe 45 minutes, and replaced 2 smallish plastic parts, and charged $300. Worth it if we can get a few more years out of our washer. Price keeps me from giving him 5 stars. In addition, he was so kind to teach me how to change a water filter on my refrigerator by actually replacing it for me and he cleaned years worth of dust and debris at the bottom of my refrigerator also. Service was prompt. They were able to come out the same day. They repaired our dryer / cleaned the vent within an hour. They left a trail of dust which wouldn't be a big deal but given the price for the service, a quick clean up wouldn't have hurt. We paid just shy of $450 for a vent cleaning and a replacement of a heating element (a generic heating element was used rather than brand i.e., the product would have cost them around $30 + services). When I look up the normal range for these services on-line, Tony's charges the very upper end of the range for current pricing. So, the service was good but the value not so much. read more

Three months after the four year warranty on my GE refrigerator expired, it stopped cooling - on a Saturday. Tony came out Monday and did some tests but it was working again. The next Friday, it broke again and he came out Monday and changed a part, no charge, and said it might work or might not, but give it a try, the part being less expensive than a new condenser. My refrigerator waited until the next Friday night to stop cooling again so Tony immediately ordered the part and installed it ASAP. It's working again, this time for good! Tony did everything he could to get it working without costing us too much. He checked on how it was going during the week and when we finally knew what the problem was, he repaired it right away. And after he repaired the fridge, he gave me some good advice about my old freezer. I recommend him highly and would absolutely hire him again. read more

Jose' just completed our dryer repair. He was quick and tidy in his work. He knew exactly why our dryer was not heating. He had to take apart the entire dryer (luckily my husband did not try this), repaired the broken part, vacuumed the inside of the dryer and put the pieces back together lickety-split. I loved Jose's great attitude, experience, and confidence in his work. He also checked our dryer vent to see if it was clogged. I called this morning because my Mom's refrigerator wasn't working (but the freezer was) & gave them the make and model of the refrigerator. Lucky for us, they had someone out in her area today and they were able to come out TODAY and fix it! Getting her refrigerator fixed was MUCH cheaper than buying even a used comparable model and we don't have to worry about putting more stuff into a landfill. Noticed a small leak under my refrigerator last night, but figured maybe it was just a slight drip drip from the ice tray or something. I tried to find where to turn the water off to the fridge, but couldn't locate the faucet. I put a towel down, and figured I'd deal with it in the morning. Woke up to a huge pool of water under and around my fridge, and went into panic mode. I needed to get the water turned off, and the problem fixed. I looked online to find a local repair shop, and found two places. One of them was a name on a magnet on my fridge, that had a ton of HORRIBLE reviews. So I called the other one, Tony's Appliances. It was 30 minutes before they opened, so I left a message, hoping they'd call soon. Five minutes BEFORE they opened at 9am, I got a call. They offered me an appointment window of 4pm. I told them the leak was constant and asked if they could have someone swing by quickly (I live just about a mile from Tony's) just to turn the water off, and I could then deal with the service call at 4pm. I just needed to stop the water. Tony got on the phone quickly, and said someone could be there in 15 minutes! 10 minutes later, Jose was at my door. He quickly got to work, shut the water off, immediately found the problem, and fixed it! All in 20 minutes. Jose was AMAZING! He even did a quick service call on the fridge, cleaned out a couple vents, and gave me a couple tips on ways to improve the fridge's performance. I braced myself for the bill, since it was an emergency...$99. That's all it was for an emergency call, and a fix. I was floored! Great service, quick, thorough, and an amazing price! Howdy! So I wanted to provide an update on my experience. 1. Were these guys on time? Oh yes...in fact, they were 15 minutes early each time. Fantastic, especially considering that there wasn't an "appointment window". It was an appointment at a specific time. Awesome. 2. Repair work...did they fix it? Yep! They found the right solution and it was much less expensive than I thought. 3. Follow-up: I even needed a follow-up appointment because I wasn't sure if something had gone wrong with my appliance again. They came out, checked it out again, added a few reinforcements, and did it without charging me again. This was a fantastic experience. I've done business with Tony a couple of times. Not only is he on time, personable and does excellent work, He's so careful with your house, the floors, doorways and other appliances. I'm a huge Tony's appliance fan, For all of your needs from used appliances to brand new and installation is always worry-less. If you ever buy anything from Home Depot or Lowe's get Tony to install it and save yourselves from all of headaches. I bought a dishwasher from home depot, the people they use(JBC, I gave them 0 stars) came to my house 3 times, 3 different days and didn't have the right parts, I called Tony and he installed it in 1 hour and 1/2 the next day no problem. As luck would have it returning from a long (semi wet) weekend of camping my dryer starts making this awful scratchy noise. My Samsung set is 10 year's old and this is the first issue I've ever had. I called Tony's and Sandy was super nice on the phone. They charge $55. to come out for an estimate. She explained that money would be applied to whatever repair needed to be done. They came just hours later and Jose' was just as nice as could be. He took it apart and found the "pully" was going out. My dryer died. I called a couple local repair places. Then called Tony's Appliances. The person who answered the phone was fantastic. She scheduled me for the same afternoon. Jose came, great sense of humor, very personal, completely took apart my dryer, cleaned it all, replaced the sensor and got it back working in no time. I am absolutely thrilled with Tony's Appliances. My Maytag dryer smelled like it was going to ignite so I shut it down and started looking for help. Sears told me they could come out in 2 weeks so I kept looking. Though Tony's is about 25 miles from me, they said they do service the area its just an extra $25 for the extra travel. No problem. They scheduled an appointment for two days later. Jose came to the house on time and knew exactly what was wrong with the dryer. He took it apart and showed me how the lint build up had reached the point where it actually was about to ignite. He cleaned it all out, replaced some wires, did some maintenance and was done in about 90 min. He also educated me about cleaning out the external vent - and showed me how when there is no air coming through the vent that means its blocked and needs to be cleaned out. We moved into a new house and were short on funds but needed a washer and dryer. We looked at several places in the metro area, including full price retail and used shops. We found a Google listing for Tony's and took a chance and drove ALL THE WAY out here. So worth the drive. Looks tiny from the street so we were a bit discouraged. Once inside, there are 2 small rooms and one larger room with refurbished appliances of all shapes and sizes. And all in good shape. We looked at a few sets and the girl working was unable to help us much. She could give us prices and answer very basic questions. She was also dressed pretty inappropriately for an appliance sales person... Think Snookie at the shore dress. If you can get past that, it was fine. She set us up with the washer and dryer we selected, arranged for free delivery the next day (offered same day but we were not going to be home to receive it.) which happened to be Sunday. At 10:15 am, Tony and another girl showed up and unloaded our machines. They brought them in, hooked them up, did a test run. We immediately threw some throw pillows in the washer and it overflowed. Called the shop and they had Tony back at our house in 15 minutes. He looked it over and explained that it was due to the pillows floating and blocking some sensor, not the machines. Took the pillows out, ran great. Fast forward a month and we notice the machine is no longer spinning. Clothes are in the exact position they were when put in and sopping wet. Called tony, he came out that evening after we got home from work (around 6pm) to fix it. He tore apart our washer, found the worn bearing, pulled the replacement from his truck, fixed it, tested it and we were good! Service from Tony himself is great. He's a nice guy and knows his stuff. I felt comfortable with him in my house (which is never a given with repair/delivery people) and he stands behind his warranty (6 months parts and labor on all appliances he sells). I held off on reviewing until i had the opportunity to test out the follow-up service or lack of need for it. But I feel confident in doing so now. My dishwasher wasn't draining properly so I called Tony's on a Tuesday morning and he was in my home Wednesday afternoon. Like many repair services, he provided a window in which he would arrive but unlike many repair services, the window was only 1 hour as opposed to 3 or 4! After 10 mins, he was able to diagnosis the issue. It was going to be a bigger fix than I anticipated and I knew it probably would be smarter to buy a new dishwasher than fix my old one. I did not feel pressured to make a decision in the moment by Tony and he offered to come back the next day to replace the dishwasher part so I could weigh my options. I ended up buying a new dishwasher, but I will definitely use Tony again if I have any other appliance issues! read more

I called Tony's after several other places failed to call me back. The diagnosis fee for my dryer was lower than the others by half. He came the next day and was quick and courteous. He understood my concerns about paying too much for the repair as it is a old dryer. He called me a couple hours later with a reasonable quote. Although the part was going to take 4-5 days for shipping it turned out they were able to pick it up on another run. He came the next day braving my piles of laundry and fixed the dryer! Not only was this repair fast and reasonable and the repairman Tony, the owner himself, was very kind. He helped me see a possible fire hazard with my water heater and repaired the hose connection sealing it tight again at no charge. YEA for Tony's. Pick them. So far the washer is still running, the belt did wear out on the dryer and I'll have to replace that and the heating element. Our ten month old Asko washing machine dumped several cups of water into the catch pan, and since it was still under warranty, we called Standard TV and Appliance, where we had purchased it. They outsource repair of Asko to Appliance Hospital, who gave us an appointment 3 weeks out. Then they pushed it out 2 more weeks (covid-related, which I understand). Then the guy who showed up was the dishwasher guy, not the washing machine guy, and he was not helpful. We had waited long enough, so I called Tony's, and they showed up the next day, which was excellent. Jose and Daniela were thorough and careful, and showed me where the problem had likely come from. They knew how to run short cycles and so were able to test several things quickly. Then they explained everything to me without being condescending. If it had been something that needed repairing, I still would have used Tony's and just dealt with the warranty separately. I will use Tony's again for appliance repair. read more

I recently moved into this house and found the ice maker was not producing any ice. I called Tony's Appliances and they came out the next day. Tony went under the house to check the line and what he found was a broken drain line off the kitchen sink/dishwasher; it was draining straight into the basement. If it hadn't been found by Tony, I could have had some major foundation damage. Needless to say, Tony's now my "go to" guy for appliance repair.
