Very kind, helpful, knowledgeable server. Our food came out quickly and perfectly. We both ordered the skillet. It was incredible. One of the best breakfast dishes I've had in a long time. Well prepared, delicious ingredients to make an incredibly delightful dish. The breakfast skillet was so good. The hashbrowns were perfectly cooked. The sausage gravy was flavorful and delicious. The bacon was crisp and was the perfect flavor addition. My eggs were cooked perfectly (I asked for basted-they were perfect!) Everything was incredible. The biscuits were so good. A little underdone but perhaps the was on purpose? They were really good. My son added pancakes to his order. They looked a little overly done, but tasted good. Portion size was huge. Ambiance was very mom and pop shop---very close quarters. Only one small restroom. Great restaurant with excellent food!!! Just know what you're getting into. I found the scalloped potatoes a little bit salty. My oldest daughter says: all the meats were amazing. I really enjoyed the scalloped potatoes. The cornbread was delicious. My second oldest daughter says: she gives two thumbs up and smiles. She says she doesn't know what to say. Yay awkward teenage years. My second youngest daughter says: cornbread. I love the cornbread. I like the turnips. I like the chicken. That is all. My youngest daughter says: this mac & cheese is delicious. It is said in the enthusiasm that only a six-year-old can give. Chaffee's Brewhouse provided excellent drip coffee, espresso, and more. The service from the employees was excellent-on point, patience, informed, professional, and even better-friendly-the kind of friendly you only get from small midwestern towns. More importantly: there is food provided, and several rooms and areas to enjoy your food and drink, and Chaffees had an excellent quiet room that allowed me to setup my laptop and submit multiple million dollar proposals in while I drank my coffee. I can't wait to come back to town, if only for the coffee and the one thing I didn't get to do there: have a beer/cocktail at the end of the day.
