Nice bar with friendly service and okay food. Good tap selection, and bourbon selection. I had a nice old fashioned, and they have Luxardo cherries. The food was prepared nicely, but overseasoned. The have in house made chips, that looked amazing, but had a peculiar seasoning that did not sit well with my stomach or nose. My burger was cooked to my order, but was saaaaalty. Avoid this place unless you want rude service and to wait over 1.5 hours for food. The experience started off okay. Our drinks came out fairly quickly, and the staff seemed attentive at first. After about 40 minutes, we asked about our food and were told it would be out soon. Another 20 minutes passed with no food, and we noticed tables that were seated after us were already eating. By this point, our drinks had been empty for over 30 minutes, and nobody offered refills or checked on us. Around 65 minutes after placing our order, we asked again where our food was. Yes, the restaurant was busy when we arrived, but by then most of the restaurant had already been served. We could also hear staff in the back arguing loudly enough for customers to hear about how long the order had been waiting. At around 70 minutes, we asked for a manager and were told there wasn't one available, which is unacceptable for a restaurant. Eventually they comped the food -- which still had not arrived -- but still charged us for drinks. The attitude from staff also became noticeably rude and dismissive. The most frustrating part was that multiple employees walked past our table, saw four empty glasses, and never once offered refills or even an update. This is actually my first Yelp review because I normally do not complain publicly, but this experience was bad enough that I felt people should know before spending their time and money here. read more

I came here with a girl friend on a whim. She had been here before and needed the Asian salad. Definitely a nice little spot located near the square in Troy. We sat at the bar and was quickly greeted by our bartender. He immediately offered us waters which was nice and provided menus. I wasn't going to get anything but the jalapeño grits and coconut shrimp from the appetizer menu really peeked my interest. I asked the bartender what he recommended and he said both are amazing but if he had to pick one it would be the grits. Boy was he right! The grit cakes were crispy, perfect amount of spice and the sauce was devine! Each cake was topped with some delicious pulled pork too. I ordered a Mojo Old Fashioned which I was skeptical about because it came to be with a lot of sediment at the bottom of it (sugar I'm sure) but it tasted good. I would get it with no ice next time because the small ice chips were annoying to me (I don't like ice in my drinks though). I'll definitely be returning when I have an emptier stomach so I can grab the grits AND shrimp! read more

I was in town for an event and looking for somewhere local. Found Mojos and decided to give it a try. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was clean. I sat at the bar. The beer cheese and pretzel bites were excellent with just a bit of a kick. The server provided a recommendation as I decided between two sandwiches. The Cuban did not disappoint. The best part of the meal, though, we're the fresh, hand-cut fries. I would definitely got back again. read more

Awesome "discovery" right in the heart of downtown Troy!! We were VERY lucky to score both parking AND a table on a recent Saturday night... Almost like they KNEW were coming and saved us a spot!! :-) Beautiful bar-- I think this used to be a gorgeous Irish pub, and surprisingly well planned and "elevated" bar food menu. I had a suuuuuuuper flavorful black bean burger with their amazing home-made chips, and though I'm not normally one to "lick the platter clean" when it comes to potato chips, bagged or home-made, these were so good, I practically licked the platter clean! One TINY ding for charging me extra for bbq sauce for these chips, which REALLY didn't need any dip at all... The Mr. enjoyed his Philly cheese sandwich, with fries subbed out for chips, and although we passed on apps., there were several very tempting choices. Great brew choices too, both on tap (tons!!!) and bottles/cans, plus some tempting cocktails!! We hope to return SOON and check out some more tempting choices here. Hubby & I were in Troy shopping late in the afternoon & decided to try this place for an early supper. We were seated immediately & our server took our drink order while we perused the menu. There were so many great choices that it was difficult to decide. I finally settled on the Cobb salad ($13) with house made peppercorn ranch dressing. Hubby got a Classic 1/2 lb cheeseburger with Swiss cheese ($11) & substituted the fresh hand cut fries for the chips for an additional $3. He also ordered a Coke ($2.99). He really liked the burger and the fries. The fries definitely taste fresh & hand cut - so good. My Cobb salad was delicious with copious amounts of blue cheese crumbles - just the way I like it. We'll definitely return here when in Troy. read more

We went in on a Saturday at 6:30, they were out of burgers! Which is odd because 50% of their menu is burgers. Poor planning. We asked for limes for our cocktails and we're told they didn't have time to cut any. Again, poor planning. The service was not good. At all. Apparently, they don't grill shrimp at all, whatsoever. I asked if I could make any of the shrimp dishes grilled, rather than fried, they said no. Mojos is located in downtown Troy and features craft beer, sandwiches and wraps. They also have flatbreads and some interesting appetizers. I had the Rueben and green beans, both were excellent. The rueben could have had more meat on it, but for what it was it was good. The green beans were excellent. The menu is packed full of sandwiches and wraps. We got the goat the cheese for an appetizer and it was EXCELLENT!!!! Goat cheese covered with buffalo sauce and spinach, served with pretzel bread mmmmmmmmm. It was so good! Service was great. The burgers, BBQ pulled pork flatbread, peppercorn chicken wrap, boneless wings and most importantly the margaritas ... it has all been VERY good. So, I'll come clean at the start: Mojos wasn't my first choice for a birthday dinner. I had hoped to make it over to Hinders for some wings, but one glimpse of their parking lot that evening had us scrambling for other options. Said option emerged at Mojos, which Jules had been to with our friend Sarah a few months prior. Lacking any other options, we sauntered in. Now, I will admit, my opinion of Mojo's might have been tainted a little bit by the ambience. The dining room itself was *loud*, with a 12-top table next to us, obviously very inebriated and shouting at one another. However, despite this, service was good and once the 12-top left, both the bar and restaurant were relaxing. Service was more than adequate, despite our waiter juggling three tables, plus the 12-top, though I'm sure things would have been even more attentive than he already was. By now, you've noticed the 5 stars at the top of this review. No lie, it's all for the food. Jules and I started with the goat cheese crostini appetizer, which came rolled in panko bread crumbs and drizzled with a glorious buffalo-butter sauce. Ohh, man. Brilliant, creamy, and right up my alley. The chicken-bacon-peppercorn wrap I ordered was just as excellent, with crisp bacon lardons offsetting an utterly phenomenal parmesan-peppercorn sauce. Honestly, I'd slather that sauce on about anything; it's that damned good. I'll absolutely be back to Mojos, if for no other reason than getting another crack at those two victuals. This is one of our favorite lunch spots in Troy. The food is tasty and they have some great tap beers. I highly recommend the Monty Cristo and fries. The beer cheese is pretty good, too, but I thought the Scotch eggs were over cooked. The decor is classy, traditional pub but I feel lacks that cozy factor. Lunch? Sure. Long night out drinking? I grew up in Troy so I always hear bits and pieces about new and upcoming businesses from Family and Friends. My Sister somehow knows the owners and told me about this place. And I am sure glad she did. The decor inside was really nice and inviting, something I deffinitly like in a bar. If I wanted to drink in a cold, dark area i'd find a vacant garage (i'm looking at you Brewery) I had a Stella, it seemed like they had a pretty good selection of beers which is great because I can't do low class beers LOL. The bartender was really nice and attentive to anyone needing help or refills. Also, I have heard that the food here is really good. Next time i'm up i'll be sure to check it out, though with Ks right next door i'll try my best not to get pulled in that direction read more
