Did the needful with placing the order via the website and head back from them. Date, time and location for the delivery was decided along with obviously the cake. We ended up ordering a three tier cake and they make it to perfection. It was for my friend's wedding and we couldn't have asked for more. I've only ever tried the chocolate cake with whipped cream and it is probably the best bakery chocolate cake I've tried. My family and I really enjoyed the cake. DO NOT GO HERE. We loved this place but unfortunately the owner was way out of line with how he treated a paying customer. We had ordered a custom cake a few weeks ago for a special occasion and paid it it full. The day of pick up, the cake is not done at the agreed upon time of pick up and he proceeds to put it together differently than how we ordered it and has the audacity to berate my mom when she called it out, as if it was her fault. We're from Vallejo and always love supporting local business, she's ordered cupcakes from them years ago for my other nephew's 1st birthday and baptism when they were at their previous location in American Canyon, those were a hit! I enjoyed seeing that they serve Vegan cakes and treats having vegans and dietary restrictions in our family it's pretty hard to find places. I recently helped pick up my other nephew's cake for his baptism and it was such an easy process. My sister in law placed the order and paid for half then upon pick up we paid for the other half. The process was super easy, parking at this location can be a little hard if you don't miss the stop. They were super busy for a Saturday morning, you can see everyone working so hard with all of the intricate cakes and designs! I picked up the fruit cake and the chocolate covered strawberries. It was great! The cake was pretty good too along with the chocolate covered strawberries. They also have desserts ready available for pick up at their stores front on display in their fridge. Im giving 3 stars because I'm assuming the cupcakes themselves will be delicious like they always are, but today I'm so disappointed in the customer service. I rave about Tony's all the time and have had very good experiences with them in the past but not this time. I ordered 1/2 dozen cupcakes w/ all different brightly colored frosting. This is what I got with a quick explanation of "sorry. We didn't have time to do all different colors, we're busy with wedding cakes and are short staffed." It made me feel like my measly 6 cupcakes weren't worth the work. I get the short staffed thing and totally understand. I asked if what I was requesting would be okay for them to do and she assured me it would. Next time they should call and let the customer know they're not willing/able to do what was asked. I would have chosen all one color with gold sprinkles. These are for an adult and she knew that. I am embarrassed to bring these to the bday dinner! I can probably find something better at Raley's! I have lived in Southern California for the past years and wanted to order a cheese cake delivery for my mom on her birthday since I couldn't be there during these pandemic times in the "itty bitty city by the water". It has taken me 5 months to write this review. There are so many positive reviews so it saddened me to write a semi-negative one. I came to Tony's on a recommendation off social media. I usually go to Javi's but I wanted to give another small business a shot. Unfortunately, it was a no go for us. Ordering the cake was fast an easy. You fill out a form online and they get back to you within minutes or less than an hours. We ordered a 3 layer unicorn cake and 2 dozen cupcakes. Since I'm no baker I left the filling and frosting up to the baker. All I knew was that I wanted strawberries. When we arrived to pick up our order, nobody greeted us. We stood at the counter like a dear in headlights as we watched 3-4 people behind the counter making cakes and another coming in and out of the fridge. Finally after about 5 minutes of waiting we were addressed. The unicorn cake was absolutely beautiful, unfortunately, that's all it was. The cake was uneatable and we ended up tossing the whole thing. It was as dry, bland, with minimal strawberries. The cupcakes were, well, just ok. We did eat them but only because we didn't want almost $200 to go completely down the drain. But they too were dry, and both tasted slightly burnt. I only took pics of the cake because it was perfect and everyone loved it. I wish I took pics of the inside and the cupcakes but I was so upset that I didn't want to think about it anymore. The worst part was that everyone asked where I got it thinking it was good, then I tasted it and turns out, it was a complete let down. read more

I'm a returning customer of Tony's cake and as always they make such beautiful cakes. My only problem this time is I wasn't informed that they don't handle alcohol (decorations) for the cake. I could've picked a plastic bottle of wine if I knew ahead of time. Or if someone reached to me and just say we won't have the bottle replica on top of it. I would be fine with it, just communicate. As I was picking up my cake, one of the associates recommended that I get a bottle of wine to put on top of the cake. I hope she wasn't implying that i shove that bottle on the top.
