Lemon meringue tart, banana chocolate tart
    Kayla W.

After date night in Benicia my husband spotted One House and thought it'd be a great place to grab dessert. It looks like a quaint little bakery on the inside but it's pretty large once you step into the doors. We both ordered tarts and thought they were pleasant- fresh, not too sweet, and perfectly portioned. I don't think I would go out of my way to visit if I had a sweet craving, but I have no problem returning if I'm in the area. I'm wondering if their more bread-like pastries are more enjoyable. The croissants and breads on the display table looked beautiful.

Still our favorite local bakery. Today we got BLT subbed the bread with sourdough,Cuban meat pies and almond crossaint. It was packed on a Friday. Service was great and food came out quick.

Preordered sweet pies for Pi(e) Day- all were delicious

Preordered for Pi(e) Day and it was so easy. You order and pay online, and you get to choose a pick up day and time. I love that! I was hoping to pick which pies to get but it is a pre-set savory box and a pre-set sweet box. Of course, I got one of each. Parking was a nightmare. I circled around twice to park at the end of a cross street. I arrived at the pick up window and waited a few minutes. I was a little concerned how to get this back to my car, but the boxes were smaller than anticipated. The photos of their pies on their social media seemed big but I wasn't at all disappointed. The price, however, was a little steep. Next time, I'll definitely be picky about which pies to get next time. I brought the treats over to share with family and it was such a hit! Everything was super tasty, especially the sweet pies. Would I make this purchase again, probably not, but it was nice to experience.

A bakery with gluten free pastries and wine, bubbly, and tea? Wow! Yay! The gluten free Passion Fruit Tart was yummy! Extra tasty with some white wine. I shared the tart and kind of felt like I should've gotten another one. It was cool to watch the staff make the pastries and bread in the back behind the windows. Too bad it wasn't warm because their parklet and back patio looked like a nice place to hang out in.

One House Bakery is truly a Benicia staple and one of our absolute favorite places. Whether we're stopping in for morning coffee, grabbing a sweet treat, or picking up meals to-go for the holidays, it never disappoints. For Thanksgiving, we always order the ham (which everyone raves about!) and the sweet potato casserole -- both are crowd favorites and make hosting so much easier. And at Christmas, the cookie tree is almost too beautiful to eat... almost. It's stunning, festive, and just as delicious as it looks. Everything is made with such care, and you can feel how special this place is to the community. We're so grateful to have One House Bakery -- it's a tradition for our family.

A hidden gem with heart, charm, and seriously delicious bakes One House Bakery is one of those rare spots that feels special the moment you walk in. The inside blends rustic and industrial beautifully - exposed brick, warm wood, metal accents - cozy but modern at the same time. It's the kind of space you want to linger in with a coffee. The baked goods are truly outstanding. Everything tastes homemade in the best way: flaky pastries, rich cookies, and comforting, thoughtfully crafted treats that feel both indulgent and high quality. You can tell they care about ingredients and technique. But the real surprise is the whimsical outdoor space in the back. It feels like a secret garden! It is peaceful, charming, and perfect for catching up with a friend or enjoying a slow morning. It adds so much personality and makes the whole experience feel more than just a bakery stop. If you love artisan baked goods, cozy aesthetics, and places with soul, this is absolutely worth the visit.

First time visiting this woman-owned small business in Benicia! It was only 10am and there was already a line almost out the door. BUT, the line moved very quickly. While you wait, you can grab the menus to look through that are posted near the displays. The front can feel a little bit congested when people are trying to go in and out the same entrance that a line is building up near. They've got everything from wine to pot pies and cakes to pizza. I wanted to order so many things but held back as much as I could. Since we came for late breakfast I was looking for something hearty. I ordered a chicken pot pie to go. It was still nice and warm after a 15 minutes drive home. The crust was very soft, flaky, and fairly thin. There was a generous serving of fresh veggies mixed into the filling which I definitely appreciated. It was seasoned well-- the black pepper shined through and the cream sauce wasn't too heavy. I also got a Passion Fruit Raspberry Coconut Tart. I've never had a dessert where the crust was made with shredded coconut. I'll definitely be seeking out more fun crust alternatives when I try out new bakeries now. I really loved the inner parts of the crust that had a nice chew from the coconut and the crispy edges of the crust as well. The passion fruit flavor was a bit mute but it was tart and refreshing. Towards the back of the shop there's some barstool seating that also has an open window where the employees are decorating cakes and weighing out ingredients. Such a fun thing to watch!

Muffuletta sandwich with salami, ham , and mortadella, and provolone cheese.

I went to this cute little bakery due to a recommendation from one of my close friends. I made sure to arrive right before the lunch rush. I ordered the muffuletta sandwich. I sat outside and waited about 6 minutes for it. It was truly excellent. The real star was the house made bread that it was served on. It was stuffed with provolone cheese, ham , salami and mortadella and an olive tapanade. It was very large. I also ordered ths almond croissant which was crunchy and loaded with almonds with almond paste on the inside. The service was fairly fast and the ladies working the front counter were very helpful and pleasant!

One of my favorite bay area bakeries. This has to be one of the more underrated bay area bakeries. The sourdough has that distinct bay flavor. The loaves are crunchy on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside. I do feel like it's a bit disorganized. They have a lot of people working but it still slow. If you order food, there's seating upstairs as well as some outside From the inside, it looks like everything is made in house.

    Carrot cake

I love this place. Great addition to Benicia. Always busy. Had a great sandwich the other day . They have a great, albeit pricey, menu. HOWEVER, I cannot recommend their carrot cake! I ordered one as a birthday cake with cream cheese frosting. The frosting wasn't "cream cheesy" at all. The cake itself didn't have that "chunky " carrot cake taste or texture. Couldn't see any of the traditional ingredients you normally find in carrot cake like carrots, apples, raisins, pineapple, or pecans. The taste was quite bland. Will never order this again. Just a beware of the carrot cake post!

I had brunch with my siblings here this past Sunday and had a wonderful time. The place has such an inviting setting with simple and charming decor and plenty of seating available, outdoor tables in the front and back of the cafe as well as two levels of indoor seating. We opted to sit upstairs, where there's a private restroom as well, so convenient. They have so many food and drink options to choose from on the menu along with an array of delectable pastries and desserts in the display case. Guests order at the register and pick up their items at the counter when it's ready. The line of customers got long at times, but also moved quickly. We got quite a few items while there, many of which the four of us shared. This includes the biscuit sandwich with bacon (so cheesy, with a runny egg, and a flaky buttery biscuit), veggie/cheese empanada which had a nice spiciness to it, roasted squash and gorgonzola salad, biscuit sandwich with ham, all day breakfast sandwich with bacon and a thick layer of scrambled eggs, vegan oatmeal filled with a variety of fresh fruits, snickerdoodle latte with oat milk served hot which was sweet and delicious, an iced mocha that had a strong chocolate flavor I loved, iced lavender oat latte, vanilla almond donut, apple fritter, bread pudding, and oatmeal cinnamon cookie. Everything we ordered was made of quality ingredients and so tasty. I was absolutely impressed with this place, and already plan to return as there are so many items on the menu that I am eager to try and did not get the chance during my recent visit.

Fun looking little cafe, staff are friendly and quick even though the place was packed. Expect after you order to pick up your own seating place and your food. There is downstairs seating and upstairs seating you pick where you want to seat. Prices are fairly high but I guess is the economy right now. I ended up ordering couple Americanos 8oz each not the usual 12oz and a hot chocolate it is a 12oz We ordered a pot pie, a breakfast sandwich with fried egg instead and the romesco sandwich all these serving will be in a to-go recycle containers so does the coffee and hot chocolate and I added some pastries too Serving sizes for are fair expect to spend at least $100 for three people. The one downside on this is the coffee it should at least be a 12oz americano Other than that the place is cute and really busy.

Still loving this place. They have specials daily and always introducing something new. I had been wanting to try their new porchetta sandwich but it sold out a few times. Hubby and I finally scored the sandwich with some new pastries to try. We ended up getting our order to go so we could have a picnic at a nearby park by the water in Benicia. The sandwich was so good and may be one that I will consistently get going forward as long as it's available. We also tried the snickerdoodle cookies and those were so delicious. We usually like to place our orders online and then pick up at their front window. It beats waiting in line as they usually are very busy. Their service is great too and the bakery itself is fun to dine in. You can watch the kitchen and everything from the top or on the sides.

You look at the description and you almost wonder if all of that is a little...too much. I'm here to tell you that it's not. It's the only way. There's just something about the zing and tang of combining both the Lemon Pepper with the Buffalo sauce that takes the flavors to a whole new level. On top of that you get a hint of sweetness with the hot honey. These are some of my favorite wings in town. Possibly actual favorite. I need to come back and have them again really soon. But just know that if you are wings fan, you gotta try P's Way. The Fish and Chips and Mac were also good. The Fish seemed a little less flavorful than I thought it was gonna be. The fries made it up for them though. I couldn't stop munching on those. The Mac was solid. Nothing out of the ordinary, but a just really good dish that was straight to the point. I just obviously was super obsessed with these wings when I went. The inside is very homey. Has a more publike vibe. I walk in and almost imagine that I'm on the water or at a pier or something. The people working here are usually very nice. The very last time I came here a guy took my order and forgot one of our items but I think he was new. So making sure you are getting your money's worth is more important more than ever. I'm glad that Sprankles always makes me feel confident about my purchase when I order from them. Recently I tried their Pastrami Club and was very impressed. Lots of good flavors. If you are person who loves extra meat or their sandwiches then I think you'd love this one.
