Let's start positive because the negative will come . +Large fresh newly designed store. Outside is a fresh paint job looks good. Free large parking lot for customers. Tony stores in general are overall pretty well done but each store is a little different. They have gourmet bakeries , nice deli shops, good butcher. Very international store. With small selections sometimes, but better than nothing I'd say. Big Ramen selection. They always have "Sales" , But overall, it's a good store , stocked , pretty clean and good offerings. Now the negatives~. They have "TRICK advertisements and Displays and their Online Presence isn't done properly, as it's almost always mislabeled and incorrect. Trick is when they put a Big Yellow Tag for Price like "$7.99". Then under it in Tiny Print no one can see with their eyes says "In Quantities of 5 or More". That's called a Trick Public. They do it at all of their stores. All. Since I shop at many other NICE stores I realize That's BOGUS ASF really, Bogus to the Community and Visitors. It's legal, just under the "super shady" area, definitely taking advantage of non English speakers and immigrants whom don't understand Unethical really.. I'm just pointing out obvious stuff here. Sales aren't really sales unless you BUY IN BULK at Tony's, that's it, Some do like to buy in bulk, so it works. It's not all the "sale" items - but you need to check it closely! Read the Fine Print! They had a really nice "display" for fresh tortillas and tamales. But no tamales. I was willing to try those. 2/$3 price. Not available, I guess sold out. Mmm, okay. We will say "sold out" for Benefit of Doubts Concerns. They didn't have smoked salmon or lox. But that's okay, I found other items I like. If I didn't like this Brand I wouldn't visit their Stores. The Tony's located in 7770 Cicero Il, has one of the worst manager, spoke to Moises to let him know that the meat department was having a hard time I was not the only person to let him know, since they scheduled 3 butchers on the 4th of July weekend with over 100 people waiting,. You have to take a number and it was already giving numbers for a second round, the butchers were confused, people were getting frustrated and upset and he did nothing to help The wait was over 3 hours. read more

I recently bought a bag of yellow onions took them home and they were all rotten, The strawberries Buy one get one free Had a white mold around some them And for some reason they never have lettuce in stock The quality control is very poor I'm going through my experience. They never have the Goya coffee the one in the vacuum pack brown packaging. The managers in this particular store need to learn a little more about quality control and quantity control. It's bad enough did the price of living is so high at least get some quality products out there. As far as the meat department I asked for ground beef so the Butcher took a package A round Chuck Relabeled it with ground beef I told him seriously. Once again and the same product mind you! In 1 year i have returned coffee creamer as it shows signs of spoilage. Two times I've returned creamer and 2 times the manager says he can't take it back. I don't keep receipts of course. He said no reciept, no return, not even store credit. Cream is not cheap anylonger. Now here's the kicker, last week I also went to shop for veggies, when I got to the cashierless register (nearest the front desk), I noticed at the main desk for returns, an older lady was returning some meat. She was saying she didn't have a receipt but the SAME MANAGER said "don't worry ma'am we will make it right" and provided to let the front desk girl return product. I'm no dummy, could it be that I am a latin male and she was not? I quickly realized what just happened. I was not impressed and although I dont like to create waves. It was blatant what just transpired. Not cool Tony's. You have to do better. It's a beautiful store and always clean, but the service shows lack of employee (managmeent) training. Ive seen this same manager treat employees very rough on the floor, so i guess I will take this to another level vs just bringing it to his attention as he seems to not care. I will continue to come here as I do like this store location, but I will not deal with this manager and will save receipts. Two times in a year the coffee creamer is damaged, come on that's telling me something. Due to management, I have to give them a 1 star as the community does not deserve such blatant ignorance. Pros: 1- fresh food with meats and produce. CONS: 1- Insufficient electric carts. I truly enjoy Tony's; however being a senior with both hip/knee issues; it's quite painful to shop to shop and walk that huge store. With the significant number senior housing in the area, this Unacceptable. 2-Tony's doesn't accept the OTC food benefit from my Medicare provider ; which is a great help. I saw another senior whose grocery allowance was denied. If Tony's won't accept this benefit, I sent Reason to patronize this merchant, since I can't use an electric wheelchair OR use my grocery benefit. read more

Tony's has been a Chicagoland stable since 1979 and I've never been to one actually. This location replaces the old Food 4 Less. There's plenty of parking spaces but the parking lot is littered with shopping carts. Inside of the store. Prices are on the more expensive scale of spectrum. It's got a decent amount of fresh food. Staff is definitely working hard keeping the shelves well stocked and organized. The manager here is really friendly and treats the customer very gracefully. Plenty of vegan and organic options. Definitely wish their were more cider options. read more

I had hope for this store. It's in the former Food 4 Less location near Ford City. The store is big and bright but the food isn't fresh and the prices aren't cheap. I honestly would prefer Food 4 Less at least they had discounts and good sales. I never found rotten or spoiled food there, but you definitely will at Tony's. Check all chicken since for some reason their chicken is always the risky buy. If you can it's best to get meat at the meat counter since nobody checks the packaged meat for freshness. I lifted a pack of chicken from the cooler and the smell overwhelmed me. I almost gagged it was so strong. I found a few things on sale but it definitely isn't worth me visiting again. I have much better stores closer to my house that won't give me salmonella. read more

Never never never never going back again... I don't even want to ride by the place!!! We bought some meat out of here that looked fresh, got home to put it in the refrigerator, pulled it out of the bag and gagged so bad... Smelled like a damn dead body!! We took this meat back and the MANAGER and another worker acted like the couldn't smell that BS and blamed it on the PACKAGING with a straight face. I know they put that right back out to sell again. Shut this place down for doing business like this!!! Seriously the health department needs to come in and check this place out! read more

I so wanted these reviews to be wrong because a friend told me to try them for some savings on my grocery bill. First when I walk in I asked if there were any motorized carts and the kid said no. I figured ok not everyone has them so no big deal. Prices were decent but sales were confusing as I got cheese that said all over the deli was 3.99 a lb and no where did it say anything about it having to be a Chunk and not sliced so I ended up paying more. Next the lady gave me the wrong turkey and was very slow so she needed to redo it as the one she gave me was twice the price. When I left I see they do in fact have motorized carts. I had to my bag have my groceries when I got out of there and checked my receipt after asking about one of the deals not showing up she said it will at the end well of course it did not. So I ended up spending more than $10 more than I needed to and the customer service was horrible. I'm giving 2 stars because it was very clean and the customers who also were having issues at the deli with me were fun and kept me from going insane read more

Purchased spoiled chicken wings on sale for $2.99 Friday May 27, 2022. Opened the plastic bag the wings were in, and it literally knock my nose off from the stinch. Called the store and before I could finish my complaint she quicky responded that she was going to transfer me to the meat dept which never answered. I think the cashiers and baggers at this store think they work at Aldi or something. After my items were bagged, the girl just walks away, I pay and am handed my receipt with about 8 bags and my soda still sitting there in the bagging area. Did I come all this way, pay for brand names at much higher prices, to put my own groceries in my cart??? Not to mention, the cashier was rude - I had to remind her that I had a 24 pack of water and 2 cases of soda below my cart. I was told to put the cases on the belt in a very rude manner. She was probably upset that she was the only register open and that she was still working at 8:30 p.m. Not to mention, the only other open register (with the light on) rudely told me, "I'm closed" well then turn your light off!!!! The only person I ran into that was polite, was the person that took my cart.
