I told the helper assigned to the area that something was wrong with it, she said no one has complained about. I tried a different card same results. Ordered a grocery delivery for 7-9 PM on Saturday 8/16, Tracker said delivered by Jeff but it was not. Tracker then said order delayed along with order delivered by jeff. Turns out jeff couldn't find the address (which is nonsense since Lyft and Uber have no problems finding it) and just took everything back to the store. Contacted store and was promised order would be here by 6 PM today. 6 PM came and went. Now being told can't be delivered at all and order will be cancelled in 48 hours and then I will get a refund. For one this area is always congested! 2nd, associates in return thought I had switched batteries on and item I purchased the same day I returned it. I did call customer service first but the item was defective. Apparently they thought I had switched the battery on item which was not the case. Staff at the pharmacy needs more empathy training. They are very unpleasant employees. The store needs more professionalism. Most of their staff are very young and very arrogant and very ignorant. I didn't realize until I was in this Walmart today that I probably hadn't been here in about a year. They remodeled this Walmart about 5 years ago (or so - - these years go by pretty quickly for me). Since that remodel, I have usually had very pleasant shopping experiences in this store. As it turns out, they seemed to have remodeled it again since my last visit. The store seemed very fresh and pleasant today--and my shopping experience was pleasant also. I didn't go through the whole store, but the sections that I visited were very nice and I found everything that I wanted with relative ease: a few items in the pharmacy section; jeans in the ladies section and bottled water in the grocery section. The one thing that could be improved is the jeans section - - it is a bit time consuming finding the right size and style. Fortunately, my time was not wasted. They have new fitting rooms and the lighting is a lot better than it used to be. I like that they have a fitting room attendant. The rooms look neat. Stores like Macy's and the now out - of-business Carson's don't /didn't have dressing room attendants and the fitting rooms are /were always disgusting. Thanks, Walmart for fitting room attendants! This Walmart has restrooms in the front and also in the back of the store. The restrooms - - especially the one in the back of the store, usually looked pretty good before this latest remodel. I went to the one in the back of the store today and although I thought it was nice before - - it was even fresher and nicer now! I think this store is also going the way of self-checkout. My friend went directly to the self - checkout and I was ready to get going and didn't pay much attention if there were any cashiers further down the line. I must say, I had one very pleasant shopping experience in this Bedford Park Walmart today! I would give a zero if I could. The delivery person left my order at the wrong door I am disabled and unable to walk up the front stairs to my neighbor. They just left the groceries there in freezing temperatures the customer service person did not care and offered no support what is the point of delivery instructions if they don't use them. We came here on a weekday night and the Walmart was busy but not super busy. Unfortunately there were still long lines due to the limited number of open cashiers. I was disappointed it took so long to check out. We were looking for a product and did an online search which led us to this Walmart. Sadly, this Walmart did not have it. We felt like we wasted our time driving all the way here. To make the best of things, we walked around and I found a nice rotisserie chicken to have for dinner. As a food item, I thought I was going to be charged 2% tax. I ended up paying 8.75% tax on it! The chicken cost me almost $10 when I could have gotten a better one at Costco for $5. I thought Walmart was supposed to be cheap??? Around the check out area, there seemed to be a lot of Hispanic foods. If you are looking for ingredients that are catered more toward Latin/Mexican cuisine, I would recommend this Walmart. Otherwise, shop elsewhere. read more

So disappointed. Have been getting deliveries from Jewel but believed the Walmart delivery commercials. Big mistake. First time, they told me my order was delivered via text message. Used their contact and got no help...they said the could not reach store. I called corporate office and they credited my account.. apparently someone else got free groceries. I felt everyone deserves a second chance so I placed a large order to be delivered today at 1PM. Then got an email saying they were having difficulties and canceled my order and told me to reorder. I did and earliest delivery was today between 4-5. At 5:30 I tried to connect and once again no one answered their chat reps were useless. This review is in regards to Quest Diagnostics inside of Walmart. I called at 1:19pm to schedule and appointment and was given the time of 2:15pm to come in. I was also given a code to use when signing in. I arrived at approximately 1:30-1:35 pm, signed in with the code and saw that people with walk in appointments were walking in after me and leaving before me. Around 2:00pm, I told the staff that I didn't see my name on the screen although I signed in twice. She said "ok", walked away and never said anything else. I was not seen until 3:10pm! So of course I am frustrated as I type this review, I can't believe that I waited for so long!! Had I known that their call in service didn't work, I wouldn't have called in and furthermore, I wouldn't have waited around waiting to be called. So unprofessional and the lobby area has a bad odor so to be waiting here for one hour plus, this was ridiculous! Never again read more

It's hard to list all the things I dislike here. Even AFTER the expansion and remodel. As one person on Yelp mentioned after I checked in here "You can change the size and look of the store but if you keep the same disrespectful customers and rude employees then you haven't improved a thing". That sums it up perfectly. The pharmacy staff here doesn't treat their customers kindly and make it seem that I'm causing them to work. When I drop off a prescription it's always 45 minutes to even an hour and a half. I don't want to fight traffic and parking again so I wait and watch people throughout the store. The produce area may be the best maintained area in the store. But don't ask an employee for help because they either don't know the answer or just point in the general direction you need to walk. The bakery area is OK but the fresh donuts never are and the cake decorators aren't even on par with Jewel and way behind a bakery like Webber's or La Petite. It's good most bread companies deliver and stock their own products here so at least those are fresh. The employees in the electronic section think they are like Gods and look down on anyone asking a question like stupid idiots. And while the employees just stand around talking you have aisles that look crappy and customers opening packages and stealing products. Clearly theft doesn't count against the employees as the only person watching customers is the department manager and he is just as rude as the rest. The bathrooms (both front and back) are usually trashed. Garbage everywhere, tagging on walls, sinks or toilets out of order.... it's depressing in there. And the traffic pattern in and out of the parking lot at the stop light in Cicero simply sucks. During bad weather or holiday time it becomes impossible. Why struggle to get in and out of here when things are so much easier at the WalMart's in Hodgkins (Countryside) and Burbank/Bridgeview (at Harlem and 102nd)? I'll often use a different WalMart unless time leaves me no choice but I'm looking forward to the new WalMart opening in Cicero where the old car race track was at 32nd and Cicero. read more

The last two(and final times) that I used it, the next day it still wasn't ready and I had to go get my own stuff with an employee. Lipstick on a pig. That's what the remodel was. I dread going here with every fiber of my being. When necessity demands it, I steel my nerves and set my chin, ready to face the onslaught. There are usualy around 50-75 customers in line, with two cashiers. Forget the self checkout. The last time I went, EVERY one of the terminals wouldn't read a credit card. Once past the front, you'll assume that a hurricane is about to make landfall in the vicinity. Aisles are strewn with open boxes, debris, merchandise, loose articles of clothing, and lost children. The only thing I can compare this to is the secretary of state's office. It's cheap here. They have that going. Yeah....it's cheap. But I think I'd rather just pay more and not have to bring my riot gear along. read more

As far as Walmarts go, this one is just average. I pass it twice a day, but almost always drive out of my way to go to another location. Getting in and out of the parking lot is a PITA. The parking lot is kind of dark and pot-hole ridden, and the area just seems a little sketchy. However, I did pop in here recently around 5pm and found the store to not be that crowded, which was a bonus. I was able to run in, find the few things I needed and check-out fast. The store wasn't too trashed and the layout is the same as all of the others. Not my go-to store, but I probably stop here 2-3 times a year. read more

Even the managers don't seem to understand how to handle someone who came with the intent to spend money and be treated kindly while doing so. I understand if you're tired or overworked but your job doesn't change based on your mood, and the employees at this location don't seem to have the ability to separate their personal attitudes from their work. I've been to a lot of Walmarts throughout my life, and this one is EASILY the worst in terms of customer service. Another self-made American icon. The idea behind Wal-Mart is to provide almost everything under one roof and to sell cheap replicas of whatever you wanted. If you are living in Downtown, this is probably the closest Wal-Mart, AND ITS INSANELY FAR. You have to keep heading south until BAM! you see the WAL-MART sign. Yes, stuff is cheaper, and doesnt last that long. Dont expect a life long guarantee from what Walmart sells, unless its branded. And Walmart is nowhere to being eclectic when it comes to brand selection. They just get cheap stuff that might actually work and sell them at wholesale rates. Walmart is not a deal store, atleast not on branded merchandise. Advice: If you have come this far, head a little further for more shopping, hogging and movies at Ford City. read more

Not sure why this walmart think they're smart by wasting paint in the parking lot to tell customers which way to go with the arrows on the pavement... Most just go the wrong way in broad daylight or nighttime. It is a nightmare. Moreover, the items are neatly in place and does not follow traditional stores. Kudos to Walmart to follow their own agenda. Perhaps conforming to the norms will cause less associates to be in high demand by patrons. Some of the staff are very nice and helpful. The woman in clothing went out of her way to help me find a shirt that was hard to find. And some are friendly and will engage in conversation, like the time a saleswoman and I were talking about our dogs. But holy cow! This store is overcrowded, and it looks like a nuclear blast hits it at times. I feel the workers' pain because I've been there when I worked for a Walmart in the past, and it is frustrating when you try to make the place look nice and people act like savages. It's hard to keep up, especially when you're spread thin. Like all Walmarts you get a lot for your money, and they have a good selection of stuff. But getting out of the parking lot is a nightmare, the place is way overcrowded at times, and I generally avoid this one when I can. I know Walmart is investing in its people, and I hope to see evidence of that soon. Kudos to you for doing that and for keeping the stores up-to-date. This is probably the most disgusting store I've been to. The walk from the parking lot to the store smelled like poop. What placed the icing on the cake was their food center. I grabbed a packet of uncooked refrigerated chicken and turned it around to see the nutrition label, only to find dozens of little bugs crawling all over the package. I immediately set the package down and did not bother to see if the bugs were inside or outside the package. I would never buy food from this store. Beware. read more

Worst f**ken place to shop at!!! This is my local Walmart and I always avoid it. But today I needed some last minute things. First of all is always messy. Boxes everywhere product never in the right place. I was looking for flameless candle which I called in to ask if they had and was told they did. I get there look for them but was unable to find them. I asked a person that was there chitchating away with other employees of she could help me. She only pointed me to go to the wedding section . I walked over there I couldn't find them. I found a manager as he was walking me to somewhere but kept getting called on the mic. I had not problem with that because he was polite enough to excused himself. He found a employee lucky enough it was the one who had earlier assisted me earlier. As he was give her instructions she interrupted him told him she had already told me where to look for them at and if I couldn't find them than they didn't have them in stock.
