Gave this place a try since a lot of my friends go here. Let me tell you, AMAZING!!!!!!!!! The entire atmosphere was light and bubbly. The nail techs were chatting with me and were even singing along to songs on the radio. The lady that did my nails (can't remember her name) she was so sweet! I brought in a reference photo and she took a picture of it on her phone and had it propped up on the table during the entire service. She kept referring to the picture to make sure she was giving me what I wanted. I also loved how involved the other techs were. They came over to help put the crystals on, and even asked me how I wanted them placed. They really took their time to make sure I was fully happy with my set. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE Ive been to tonys nails a few times, sometimes its a hit or miss with my Nails but i always make sure i went to Katie. Well i made an appointment for a full set and pedicure, when i saw that i was going to be a few mins late (5-10mins) i called to let them know. They told me i had to reschedule since she supposedly had another appt an HOUR after mine. Not only does that show that they do no care about customers, that also shows that they do not put in quality WORK. Everytime i get a full set it has never take less than an hour an half. Given this that shows she is willing to rush through her work which make sense now since sometimes my nails wouldnt come out the best. I am upset with this team of employment. When she started filing I asked her to please file them square and she filed them so hard that they're now SHORT. I have been growing my nails out for a while and am extremely upset by this. Worst experience in a nail salon ever!!!!!! I will never come here again! I scheduled an appointment for two full sets at 1:30. My daughter and I arrived at 1:28. She was seated right away and the male nail tech started working on her. 15 minutes later and I get called over to sit with the same guy that was working on my daughters nails. So of course I'm super irritated because we made an appointment for two people. We should have our own nail techs and neither of us should have had to wait. Especially for 15 minutes. So I still have some left over acrylic on a couple of nails because I just took them off. He removes the acrylic from one nail by taking a fake nail and pulling up the acrylic with it. Is this the new way to do it? Probably not the proper way, I'm sure! He starts doing the same thing on my thumb nail, using either the fake nail or his own very long nasty nail. By this point I'm getting really grossed out and upset. The acrylic is stuck on one side and he begins to rip up part of my actual nail. I automatically pull my hand away and say owe. He grabs my hand and says, "It's okay." He proceeds to rip it up again and I pull my hand away, but his grip is too strong. At this point my nail is bleeding and I have to tell him to stop multiple times. I tell him forget it, that I'm done. He asks if I want him to glue it. I tell him no and I immediately wash my hands. Of course I still was going to pay for my daughters nail service. I walk up to pay. She had the pink acrylic done and it states it's $30 on the board. He ends up telling me that it's $38! I argued with him back and forth about it and decided just to give in because I just didn't want to be there anymore. This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I went here for a pink/white gel fill because it's nearby my house and I couldn't get an appointment that day to see my regular nail person. Tony's closes at 7 pm, and it was 6:30 when I walked in. The girl who took me was obviously not thrilled that she had to take a customer so close to closing (I was the only other customer at that time), and hung up her cell phone call with serious attitude. Besides that, I had other issues with this place: First off, they do not use white powder at Tony's. Rather, they save money by using only a non-natural-looking pink color and then painting the white on. That ends up looking cheap and doesn't last long. Secondly, she cut me several times with the dremel tool (with no apologies), and even filed my nails unevenly! Their prices for a gel fill are on par with other salons, but the service definitely is not comparable. This was the worse nail salon experience I've ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone, but my friend's wife goes here for standard pedicures and she's happy with them. Then again, she's also not loyal to any particular salon, so her standards might not be the same as mine. read more

Anyway, The last time I got a full set I didn't realize how horrible of a job the lady did until I got home. The acrylic was bumpy and uneven, and the next day 1 had already broke. Probably because she was on a FaceTime call the WHOLE TIME and was not focusing on the task at hand. I gave it another try and once again I'm disappointed. The guy who did my nails did not even bother to smooth the nail out. Crappy job. It looked nice when freshly painted but once completely dried, you can see how terrible of a job he did. I've been here a few times already. The ladies here are really nice. The owners (Tony and Stephanie? I think that's their names) seemed nice too. They do a good job on your nails. I never really had anything bad to say. This salon is literally down the street from my work so it was on the more affordable side compared to other salons and it was convenient. But yesterday. I went in to get a fill. And the lady that worked on me was new. I haven't seen her before. She asked me if I like coffin shape. I said yes. And asked her to make my nails a little bit shorter. Then she does, and as she keeps filing. I ask her to make the corners a little more round because they were too sharp. (In the end. My shape ended up looking like square shape.) then she did the color. And at first. Before it goes into the light. It's a green Color. But after it turns blue. Which was fine. But I swear the color was suppose to be a darker teal. Then she did the top coat. And after. I wasnt too happy with my nails. I'm not a person to be too picky. Especially if I already tried to say what I want. And if they don't do it right still. I try not to keep mentioning it. I just let it go. But after I left. And today this morning. I woke up and notice my nails are all jacked up. There was lines and indents all over my nails. As If the gel color did not dry completely. Gel is already expensive to begin with. But I get gel so that I don't have to worry about them drying or not. 1, the shape was off, and 2. The color was off as well. But I was willing to be okay with it. But once I saw this morning how messed up it was. I had to go back to have it fixed. I paid $35 for a gel acrylic fill. And I tipped her 7 dollars. So I'm thinking. I should be okay to go in to have them fix it. Seeing as its not my fault. So I go in today. Around 6pm. There's no one else waiting but me. But all the techs were busy with customers. I tell them I need my nails redone because they look horrible. They tell me the wait is about 35 mins. I was hoping the lady who did my nails yesterday, (I think her name is Leslie) wasn't going to be the one who redos it. But she did. So I sit down at the chair next to her. And show them what what's going on with my nails. (KEEP IN MIND THAT THEY ARE SPEAKING VIETNAMESE. AND I UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING THEY SAY) so they ask me if I want to change my color. I say yeah because I don't want to go with that gel color seeing as how it's not good for the way it turned out. I pick a color. And she does it. And I'm listening to them say to not charge me. Since I was just in yesterday. And then the lady doing my nails. Even said she noticed that I wasn't happy with them yesterday. She didn't expect me to come back so soon. I'm just sitting there listening. Pretending I don't understand anything they are saying in Vietnamese. Then they say how its really busy now. Other customers are waiting. Then they say to charge me $10. I was already thinking. Maybe I should tip her if they don't charge. Which they shouldn't because this was not my fault in the first place. But then I thought. No. I should not tip. I gave a good tip yesterday already. For a job that was not done well at all. So lady is almost done with my nails. She tells me next time to let her know if I don't like the color. Then she will fix it for me. Because today I am lucky that it got busy after i already got here otherwise they would tell me to come back another day. I was biting my tongue to not argue back. I did not want to cause drama in their salon since they were busy. So I did not stand up for myself. And tell her I'm not here because I decided to change my nails color. I'M HERE BECAUSE THEY LOOK SHITTY. She was done. So I asked. Okay, how much. Thinking that they would do the kindly customer service thing and not charge me. But nope. She said $10. Then the owner. Stephanie? Turns to me. And says it's $10. And if I think it's not fair then they won't charge me. I said. No its not fair. But you are making me feel bad. So here is $10 and then I left. I am very unhappy and very upset. I basically paid 52 total for an acrylic gel fill. And for customer service that was terrible. Before leaving. I wanted to tell them I understand everything they say in Vietnamese. But I figure. Why be dramatic. They don't deserve my loyalty here anyways. So keep in mind. Pretty awful experience I asked for my cuticles to not be cut but she convinced me it had to be done so I said minimal please. My fingers are super sore. My nail shape is different on each nail and the painting done like a 6 year old. I had to ask her to clean up the edges and if she would moisturize after she cut so much of my skin . I went here today for the second time as it was convenient stop on my way home. The first time I went all was good which is why I returned today. When I walked in I was the only customer and was taken immediately by owner. I asked for dip nails. I asked price and was told $40 which is what I pay at my usual salon in Pleasanton. Another customer came in and said she is returning as her manicure didn't last and was told by employee on phone that she would get new for $20. Owner proceeded to argue with her for ten minutes that type of manicure she wants costs $50 and she can't redo for $20. It would cost $30. After several minutes customer agreed to pay extra $10. Owner finished my nails but never did cuticles so I asked if she was going to to them and she said that cuticles cost $10 more. Really??? I have NEVER had to pay more for cuticles. EVERY manicure of my life has included cuticles!!! Does she think I just came in to get nails done but not cuticles? What I believe happened was she was in a big hurry to finish me so she could move over to dip the other customer's nails because no one else in salon is trained on dip. Needless to say I will NEVER return. Patrons beware to inquire on complete cost of what you want done because cuticles is NOT part of a manicure here.
