Service was great, the front desk associate was welcoming and polite. The place is very clean as well. The pizza was okay, the chicken was dry, very dry on the pizza and the cheese is too thick, takes a lot of chewing to get through a slice. Nice crust and the have a home made garlic sauce that isn't easy on the eye, but doesn't taste bad. Wings stole the show, not as hot as I thought, but good for sure and I forgot to tell them well done, so I'm sure they'd be even better that way. I will try this place again in about a month or so to see if anything changes.

Our overall experience harkened back to some of the best episodes of the last season of "The Bear" we recently was on TV - many employees working feverishly to overcome all sorts of challenges to keep the multitudes of patrons sublimely sated with quality Italian cuisine. Some of the parallels were uncanny! To the restaurant's credit, this promotion was well-marketed and reflected in the full house of patrons with a jammed lobby that spilled outdoors with people waiting for tables. To the restaurant's further credit, there were many servers working feverishly hard to keep pace with the onslaught. They had prepared, in other words. Kudos to the charming hostess, who somehow kept dozens of balls juggling in mid-air. The anniversary menu itself was simple (down-home traditional Italian fare), possibly both reflective of the 1988 era and the move-them-in, move-them-out necessary philosophy of the evening. Our mussels appetizer was delicious but arrived late (with a profuse apology) reflective of the onslaught. We understood. Our main courses (Italian chicken dishes) were fine and well-prepared if a bit watery, again reflective of 1988 and of the busy kitchen. Again, we understood. Pricewise, with the promotion, we saved about $11 or $12 a person off what an equivalent order would have been in 2026, so our bill reflected. It WAS a cool promotion and Liberatore's deserves our business (and yours) more often even absent special promotions like this. Hopefully this creative idea inspires this on the part of it's many past customers.

It was more bread than any "guts"; two slices of thin turkey, one slice of cheese, dressing on one side and a dab of cole slaw on the other. I didn't even need napkins! For the price I paid ($12.99) it was definitely not worth it even with fries on the side. I also noticed that the menu states "prices subject to change without notice at any time". When I looked up the menu online, the sandwich I ordered was not listed as $12.99. I understand that prices can change and that websites may not get updated right away but that left a bad impression.

Did Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY, and the other is back to local to where I live in central MD. I had been here twice. My friend had long recommended Anthony's as he used to work near there. In December 2020, I had some unusual work travel to Chambersburg, PA. I decided to try the Italian here. There was no dine-in at this time, so I ended driving back home to eat it, which was about 20 minutes without traffic, which thankfully there was no traffic on 32 & 295 to get home. I was impressed with what I got. It was a large amount of food in the To Go container; some beef based dish, which was excellent. At the time my friend was right, but in December 2024 when I went with my girlfriend, it was different than I remembered. A new owner had taken over earlier in the year I believe. The place was remodeled to look fancier, but I told my g/f I went here 4 years ago and highly recommended. Well, we were disappointed overall considering how high my expectations were. I got a fettucine alfredo with chicken and got a side salad for extra $3.99. I expected a large portion thinking I'll save as a leftover, and it wasn't a whole lot. Thankfully, I wasn't that hungry as I was backlogged from Christmas & other holiday related foods. My g/f gave me some of hers which was a little more for a leftover. The pasta was decent, but nothing to write home about. Server was cordial and helpful. However, she was slow especially when it came to get the check to pay. Overall, I was underwhelmed, plenty of better choices for Italian in the area. I give her credit when I asked for more bread to go, and she did grab me more bread. This was kind of a ripoff for what it was. Not planning on coming back unless I happened to be over here for some reason.
